no amount of writing advice tutorial tip posts on tumblr will substitute just getting really weird about a random dead author's writing style. ditto art tutorials and a random dead painter's art style. and then once you got one then throw more on the pile. bullet lists and flow charts and step-by-steps do not a good art diet make... imagine if someone tried to give you a cooking lesson without you ever having eaten the thing you're trying to cook. you gotta make time to sit down and feed your brain the whole meal instead of just reading the ingredients list on the box or else you will be too hungry to learn
