Lando didn’t think before he surged forward and pressed his lips against Oscar’s. He could only feel the slightly chapped lips and his own beating heart. He stilled for one endless moment before he pulled back.

“I shouldn’t have done that, sorry.” Lando’s voice sounded fragile to his own ears, the breathless laugh he pushed out falling too quickly to sound natural. The distance he put between them wasn’t enough, the need to run thrumming beneath his skin. Lando pushed his hand through his hair, an unsteady smile across his lips. “Think I’ve had a bit too much to drink mate. Hey, I’ll see you Monday, yeah?” Oscar blinked at him, lips barely closing, mind moving a bit too slow to keep up. Lando was gone before he could think to respond.
