Franziska shows up at Edgeworth's apartment the day before Thanksgiving, ruining his plans to watch television all day and forcing him to put together some sort of meal for them (you can't expect her to cook, she's the guest). Several hours into this Edgeworth snaps and asks why Franziska cares about American Thanksgiving when she's not even American. Franziska looks at him like he's an idiot and says "I know you don't want a von Karma present for Christmas so this will have to do."
