okay so being a little more serious about today, I do think is a little weird that so many of you are ready to pass judgement and take sides on a break up that, at the end of the day, we don’t know a single thing about.

Yes, seeing your ex kissing someone that was close to them only a few days after you break up is shitty. But it’s also not Damiano’s fault since he wasn’t the one to put out the video. He was a dummy for thinking people weren’t gonna record him but that’s also not his fault. He probably felt safe around those people and someone betrayed his trust. Also, “acting like a harlot in the club bc you’re sad” is very me coded so I can’t be harsh on him for this lmao

At this point all we can do is wish the best for both of them - I’m sure we will know more/be force fed information in the next few days - and not act like fucking animals on Damiano’s, Giorgia’s or Martina’s socials. Every once in a while I remember when I was like 13 ~ 15 (somewhere around there, don't judge the following) and I found a weird signal I barely picked up on my tv and had to do some finagling to get it to pull through clearly But More Specifically it came in much more clearly at like 8pm to 3am and then it was unintelligible fuzz most other hours

and this channel was some japan centric channel that would regularly marathon random as all hell episodes of anime and a TON of OVAs and they clearly didn't care what rating these seemingly gray market era rips were coming from because they'd throw OVAs that were very much "adult entertainment" both in terms of serious-but-fun stories, violence, and plenty of tits.

Anyways I remember so vaguely so many extremely interesting anime pieces I saw on that channel; Mechas seemingly centered around hangar drama that I couldn't make out a single word and the picture kept falling to fuzz but I was enamored by the designs and characters; Random erotic as all hell death scenes where the focus was on the sadness of the bleeding out person's passing but also Check Em Out- Look How Good We Drew This Tit ;)

And these memories are blended with how a few years later I got G4tv and could watch some more OVAs and anime series there (the short stint where that was a thing they did at like midnight every night) and how I never exactly found crossover between the exposure both of these gave me, but I did find shows that reminded me of those fuzzy CRT days like watching the R.O.D. OVA- that entire thing just SCREAMED "This would be on that weird OVA channel I'll never find".

i'm hyperfixating on the sims again and i love two of my Sims in particular rn

because i can't play sims like a normal person I started the "Great British History" challenge. Basically you start in the Iron Age and go all the way to the 2000s. Idk how far I'll make it but I'd like to at least play a few generations/make it to the Tudor era so I can build a castle. I usually only make it to the grandkids on a file and then get bored and start over. Hopefully this changes things up enough that it'll keep me entertained.

ANYWAY.

My founder Sim Gwendolyn died in an event roll I did and it was very tragic and sad, but her husband Aidan has literally survived every single thing the challenge has thrown at him and just won't die. (Not that I want him too, but considering how many other Sims have died so far it's sort of a miracle lmao)

Anyway his grandson, Finn, is likely going to be the heir for this generation because I think he's a cutie, and also he isn't a mage. (Playing as a caster is fun, but I want to try and max out everything in the skill tree and trying to do that and stay on top of all the other things I have to do in the challenge is difficult)

I was actually actively playing as Finn's dad because he was two fish away from finishing the Angling Ace aspiration and I realized Finn and Aidan had been talking the whooole time Finn's dad was fishing and had maxed out their relationship bar.

Finn is actually the only "child" age Sim in the game rn because everyone else has aged up so there's no one his age and he doesn't really have a relationship bar with any of the other now teens. (might have to give him the loner trait when he ages up lol)

So I had Finn ask Aidan to be his best friend, and he of course said yes and its adorable to watch him be a good grandpa, but I am not ready for the heartbreak of Aidan aging up to Elder and dying because Aidan is like one sim week away from aging up and it's gonna be so fucking SAD

the reason i think there was a falling out between alex and miles after the eycte era and ESPECIALLY in 2018 is because of how radically their interactions changed after the end of their 2016 tour.

if you only consider them as strictly platonic friends (which is completely fine) then you're probably not gonna agree with what i'm about to say - which, if you follow me on this blog, you probably already know lmao. and that is the fact that in my opinion the making of eycte and then specifically the actual tour was a turning point in their relationship, and it was clear even from an outsider's pov that something was going on between them. the actual nature of what was actually going on is and will probably forever be a mystery, but the way they interacted, the way they were constantly on each other in every way you could possibly think of, the way you could feel so many different kinds of tension between them, and the way you could see the utter fondness and admiration written in their eyes every time they looked at each other... that was definitely something. again, we'll probably never know what it was, but it sure felt like love. the visceral kind, rare and special and so intense they both got completely swept off their feet by how strong it was. the depth of their connection was almost tangible, romantic or not, and that is clear by just watching any 2016 performance.

sure, their friendship had already been going strong for years, but... 2016 was just different. it felt different, intimate and exhilarating and electrifying for the both of them. you could just see it in their eyes, in the way they smiled their most genuine smiles back then. in the giggles and whispers and constant touching and looking at each other like they were each other's biggest, most precious treasure.

and then the tour ended, and it was deeply emotional and sad and it really felt like the end of an era.

they came back to their solo careers, and they were seen less and less with each other. from what we know, they also both suffered from writer's block for a while. then 2018 happened, and am came back with a very concept-oriented album, where everything that might be related to alex's private life is hidden under ten layers of obscure metaphors - and even then, we have no way of knowing how much of it is actually real and how much is just part of the whole concept. the only songs where he is a bit more direct are either """"love songs""""" (and very sad at that: see golden trunks and the ultracheese) or very introspective and personal ones (see anyways). on the other hand, miles came back with a very direct, very much heartbroken breakup album. also an implicit coming out album. also an album where every song screams of alex (i don't even need to give examples. it's literally every single one. the whole fucking album.)

regarding their private lives, miles entered his slut era while alex seemed to slowly start wasting away. my dude literally had a mental breakdown and shaved his head, he was not well fr. this was probably due to criticism of tbhc + him cheating on taylor most likely for a while before actually breaking up with her + getting stuck into a very shallow relationship with louise out of 1) self-flagellation and 2) search for a safe space (keeping up his straight persona, denying his identity and literally burying himself into the closet).

the majority of the milex fandom - me included - seems to agree that if we assume there was something romantic going on between them during the eycte era (possibly even before, but it definitely got to its intensity peak in 2016), after the tour ended things got complicated: miles wanted an actual committed relationship, while alex - back to the routine and having "woken up" from the dream that was the eycte tour - was already struggling to accept his identity, and when miles got serious he got scared and chickened out. so then miles tried to forget him (hence the slut era, but to no avail) while still trying to be his friend because of course they never really left each other's side, and that probably hurt like hell. everything miles could do was watch as alex slowly got eaten away by his own regret, fear, repression and self-hate. what i always say is that by doing what he did, alex broke both their hearts.

their interactions became so weird, too - la cigale 2018 being a prime example of peak cringe content, with them awkardly sharing the mic and alex literally fleeing the stage to run backstage to louise as soon as the song was over. you can't watch a random 2016 performance, then watch la cigale and be 100% convinced nothing happened in between those two years. something definitely switched between them.

my guess is that they never really got over each other, but their friendship did recover after reaching an all time low in 2018. i think now it's in much better condition, though not back to how it was before. they probably never got closure and they probably never will. they just... quietly long for each other and do nothing about it because they're both dumb fucking idiots.

they were indeed seen hanging out during summer 2020 if i rememver correctly, and then they were both at zack and lola's wedding last summer (we were ROBBED of a photo) and then back in... late july? (early august? or was it earlier?) we got that pic of alex at a bar with a fan and miles in the background. ofc this is just the "public" evidence we have of them hanging out and being on at least amicable terms, and who knows what really happens behind closed doors. i do believe they hang out as much as their busy schedules allow them to do. and obviously things aren't the same anymore because they clearly went through something, but what they have now isn't necessarily bad. they're still friends, and that's all that matters in the end.

obviously we don't really know what happened. we probably never will, and that's okay - because that's how it should be. we're not entitled to know anything about their private lives that they don't want us to know. let them figure out the nature of their relationship for themselves. as fans, we admire them for their music and we all enjoy the essence of their relationship with each other - their public dynamic and personas. and i think that we can all agree on the fact that their relationship is something they both cherish so much, so unique and heartwarming and beautiful that it's impossible not to be captivated by it, be it romantic or platonic.

omg I loved it!! Like overall it was so beautifully done and u can really see it was done with care and thoughtfulness! it follows the timeline chronologically pretty well although it kind of goes 2010 to 2016 and then skips to 2019 to 23 so that gap kind of stays unknown but it is said that those were very difficult years for louis.

it starts with the 1d stuff and it goes pretty deep in how louis lived the beginning and the end of it! like we hear the story of how he didn't sing at all in wmyb and how he had worked with the producer for the 2nd single and they worked hard to get his verse right and then in the final cut he found out that they had given it to harry (😑) and how at that moment he felt like no matter what he did it wasn't gonna be good enough :( but that's also how he started writing bc all he ever wanted was to feel like he had a place in the band :( and then it cuts to 2015 and their last performance and there's a very telling video of him after the performance and he was so fucking sad (also I wonder what that footage was for ? bc it looked like they were making something then too) and in the voice-over he says that he was feeling angry and lost bc he felt like he finally had his place and he didn't want it to end (!!!) and then OLI MY BEST FRIEND!! says how only certain band members wanted it to end but louis didn't (we been knew but I'm glad oli is well aware and not scared to say it) and then we even hear lottie and his grandparents talk about the huge loss that losing 1d was for him.

I actually found it interesting that they had that first segment about 1d then right after his mom and then felicitè and they talked about all of those as the most important losses of louis' life so u really can see how big of a loss the breakup was for him :/ it was truly a part of him

then there's the part about his mum with his grandparents talking and I legitimately cried when his grandpa was talking bc it was all so sad and touching but also u can really feel how much they LOVE and admire louis and in general in all the family clips and interviews u really see how he is the core of his whole family and how much he loves them all. it's so beautiful

I loved the bits with his sisters too! the twins talked about how much he looks after them and how sometimes he's a bit too much but it's only bc he cares so much :(( and lottie said "he was made to be a big brother for many sisters " and I was like SO TRUE !!!! he literally is ! and helene called him GENTLE AND KIND !! which is also SO TRUE 😭😭 I love him sm

also I was surprised that they talked more about felicite bc he never said anything but God :( lottie talked about how louis and her tried to help her and how guilty she felt bc she couldn't and how louis must have felt it even more 😔😔

and in the middle of all of the parts there's oli interviews which are the best bc he truly gives such an insight on louis and like u can totally see why they're so close !! he understands louis a lot ! and he even says his job is to try to keep louis' life together lmao 😭😭

I loved the part about the beginning of the walls era bc u see how difficult that was for him and many aspects of it was stuff that we didn't know about! like there are clips from some of the earlier promo performance where Louis says that he hated it and hated performing and u can really see how much he beat himself up for his mistakes and that only starts changing with the ccme performance and then only at the Scala gig he's like I actually loved that!! I was really surprised about that like I had guessed from his stage presence and in general by everything that he wasn't really comfortable but he literally says taht at one point he couldn't wait to get out :(( and helene is like that's what u need to work on bc u actually love singing!! and u can see how it all changes with tour and how much she was right bc his voice keeps getting better as he gets happier mentally <3 the body truly does keep the score of our trauma!

I also loved the band bits and u can see how significant it is for the guys that louis sleeps in the same bus as them and involves them in day off activities and how tight and loving the atmosphere is on tour

also the fans interviews were lovely!! I especially liked a segment they did on how fans formed friendships and lived great experiences through the fandom and louis! u can really see how much louis loves that and it's beautiful bc it just reinforces one of louis' core messages which is how important people and love are <33

the entire Freddie segment was BEAUTIFUL it is the part that my non louie friend was most impressed by bc u can really tell how much louis loves him and vice versa, also how important Freddie is for him! and he's such A GOOD DAD!! so loving and affectionate, he is always telling him that he loves him and asking for kisses and it was so 😭 that kid will be such a wonderful person. and louis even showed him that he was crying after the la show bc he saw him in the crowd ! :(( truly beautiful (and great parenting especially for a boy!)

there wasn't a lot about his career difficulties (as I expected) but it's still hinted at that he had more than one issue with the labels and all that side of things :/ also found it interesting that helene mentioned that people in management etc in 1d didn't like him bc they thought he was arrogant and wanted to be the front man when all he was arguing for was just Equal and fair opportunities and even his grandparents talk about how it wasn't fair how he was treated in the band and that even if louis didn't talk about it they could see it hurt him... sigh

I'm sure I'll remember more as soon as I post it but for now I think that's enough skdk it's beautiful! it's telling and it's real ! go watch it and enjoy louis in all his wonderful aspects!

also there are the parts about liam at ccme and niall in Mexico and they talk about when louis went to see him etc and it was interesting how niall seemed awkward in front of the camera talking about it lol? meanwhile it was sad when louis watched liam the first night and then louis was in his room and he asked if he'd stay to watch him but liam had to fly to LA :/// kind of explains how all of them have treated louis for all these years tbh, maybe that's what triggered that apology from liam and tbh louis definitely deserves one from all of them .

Overflow - Een Glish, Tyfty, Ben Glish: eek! so ai voiced songs specifically rap is very good to me. that family ties edit with spongebob and patrick is probably one of my favorite pieces of music. but this artist is v interesting to me :3 een glish is a vocaloid (? not sure if entirely correct but u get what im getting at) made from the google translate ladys voice. and its GOOD this one specifically is very catchy but she has bars too!!! check out rap game bob ross too, and also the remix with bars from SONIC HELLO? im giving this one the Sound of the Summer distinction bc not only is it a very summery jam, but it is the one im really telling u to check out if u get the chance. lots of good jams here.

The Flag Is Raised - Asian Glow: in case we couldn't drain enough this summer, asian glow put out this really neat interpretation of one of my faves off bladee and ecco2k's recent masterpiece, Crest. follows in the footsteps of many a bladee cover for me where the cover often plays over the actual song in my head. like i expect certain isntrumentation when i listen to the original that is only present in the cover but that just means theyre both good ! the guitars and the cymbals all over this make this version feel so shiny... aww and they use the little sigil ring from Crest on the cover for it too :"3

Vicinity of Obscenity - System Of A Down: songs that have done irreversible damage to my psyche and syntax. i will bust out a banana banana banana terracotta banana terracotta terracotta pie when the fuck ever just let me know the time and place my man. it is such a vocal stim for me. this whole song is honestly. some of the silliest nu metal u can get ur paws on i checked (she is lying to u again tho it is quite silly with it 😳) + had to go with the 2008 youtube editor lyric video for the youtube playlist obviously.

ENVY THE LEAVES.......... MY LIFE HAS BEEN FOREVER CHANGED ELEANOR IT'S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SONG AND HER VOCALS IN IT????? ETHEREAL

the entire album has this dreamy sad sound........ like i said to my sister earlier "this must be what men feel like after listening to a drake album" except like. the music is better obviously LMAO. i'm obsessed and i also think her vocals on this album are like sooooo amazing like i was listening back to hurts like hell recently and comparing that era to this album now her development as an artist is so noticeable and it's for the better 100%. i really love dangerous and the title track and at your worst and king of everything those are my non-single faves for sure. but envy the leaves is my PEAK fave.

also i'm going to hunt down and kill whatever man was the inspiration for this album i hope u will join me in my quest.

so tired of the shit memory and nothing feeling real ever. do we all live like this? or most of us? is it something in the air. is it the collective adverse shit we are all living through. this bleak disconencted world? or.

im like was i always like this? was my conspiracy theorist grandma right, am i just cognitively malnourished from not eating meat lulz. is that why i can never remember shit? that would be such a simple answer. i hope its something i can fix easy peasy like that. but my blood tests always come back fine. im sleeping a-okay. i take supplements too. i eat a very varied diet. idk man...

when i got off my ssris/adderal and quit weed in august 2023 that was my reset era from the chronic, almost daily weed usage that was occuring for years. i did it cuz i was having these same issues im having now and wanted to see if my meds or weed was causing it. but the funny thing is remember nothing about that reset era. I just remember complete anhedonia. life felt so bleak, difficult and gray. i felt like a different person during that time. i was on this website a lot (still am. ahah.). feels like different person was on this blog sometimes even though logically no. lol. but thats just how it feels.

then i remember. many years ago, how i used to write in my diary everyday. every single detail of the day. even the very mundane, very boring things. very very boring things. i always told myself to write every boring detail of the day, every single work conversation, every single thing that happened at home that day.. because i might want to remember it some other day. so i imagine these memory issues have been a thing for quite a while. even before the weed.

the thing with memory issues is, you can't ask past-you "hey. do you struggle with memory?". you're certainly not gonna remember either. thats why journaling is so important with memory issues. well its important in general imo. even if u just write in there like once a month... about anything... whether it be what happened in your life or just your thoughts or goals... get a feel for what was happening in your life .... grounding and very important imo. future you will feel thankful. regardless of memory issues or not.

gonna start readjusting my life a lot i think. i think partially the memory issues come from the fact that i dont do anything with my life. my brain is turning into mush. its so hard to use sometimes. sometimes im not sure whether its the long term weed usage, the fact that i do not socialize or challenge myself academically anymore or what. i have a sinking feeling it -all- does play a huge role. esp the weed. sad given its one of the few things that helps me really feel things again. i feel so much emotions on weed. i hate how detached and numb i am without it. those 5 months without it were so bleak. i take these 2 week breaks and feel like nothing is real. tomorrow i have to go to work as per usual, but i feel so detached from that reality. as if someone else does that for me. everything feels so compartmentalized.

i need to change something lmao. i think me moving will be a fresh start. for so many reasons. june please come soon. may is going to be so barf-barf with all of this family shit going on. june ;-; i need you.
