I've been listening to La oreja de Van Gogh for over 22 years. The first time I listened to one of their songs I was 6 and I remember going to where the radio was and sit there listening to "La playa" for the first time. That was the day I fell in love with their music.

When I say I listen to their music, I don't mean casually. I'm talking about listening to them whenever I'm in a good mood, or bad mood. And most importantly, it's my music choice whenever I'm doing my crafts and I need inspiration. Some days I sit down to work on my sculptures for hours on end and La oreja is the only thing playing in the background. Most things I've written or done in my life were inspired by their music.

I can sing every single song start to end as soon as the music starts playing, and I'm really proud of that for some reason.

I don't listen to this music genre in general. I'm a rock and roll fan, mostly. Most of the music I listen to is 70s and 80s rock, and then, unrelated to it all is La oreja. It's so strange and yet so beautiful because it makes them even more special.

Last Saturday I had the chance to listen to them live for the third time in my life and I couldn't be happier.

I don't know why, but I wanted to share this part of me with you. I think their music has shaped me in a way. Their songs have taught me a lot about art and they have inspired me. And I guess I want other people to feel the same way. I want you to find something or someone who inspires you as much as LOVG inspires me.

felt rly shitty when last night i tried to bring up the twitter boycott to friends and they were all unresponsive/uninterested and i was like wow :• ok clout farming rly is more important to u than idk maybe lending ur support to a movement who's backbone is strikingly similar to what ur moral and ideals are and like whatever mcgowan has been weird before but does that mean im going to pretend that the twitter is run in the ultimate sketch sus ass manner like seriosuly but whatever like i get it i guess there are two shows happening tonight one where the bands just soft support fcking abusers in the scene like literally a band comprised of fence walking idiots who 'dont like politics' and log off when ppl are getting dragged but wont log off for this and the ither is whatver i guess hut promote thru insty perhaps MAYHAPS JUST JOIN IN FOR A THREAT AN ACTIVE EXAMPLE bc i also saw a lot of ppl like 'logging off for a day wont make a difference like u might as well just stay lovged off till ur demands are met y should stay on to give a voice' and its like NEWS FLASH U FCKING BOZO SOMEONES ACCOUNT WAS SUSPENDED FOR ATTEMPTING TO BE A VOICE like do u not understand? also twitter WILL see a difference in data w ppl who bothered to log off I HOPE and so what ok this is the threat and if we could stay off for a day we can stay off for a week and so on and so forth but seriosuly everyone is so idioticly obsessed w peer to peer gratification which whatever or i mean this is just devolving at this point and damn i dont want to just fcking complain about twitter on tumblr its all stupid everything should b destroyed. thats what i feel like telling ppl when theyre like 'lol cute but thats not gonna make a difference' i just want to be like u know ur right we are so fcking fcked all our problems are so intertwined if we tried to solve one the whole shit would unravel faster than we can mentally process and we will have to shake society to ITS FOUNDATIONS TO ITS FCKING CORE. so ur right nothing we ever do no movement fcking nothing matters u idiot u just choose what u think is important to ur ego to ur being to ur brand what can u give leniency to in the moment. everything is a fcking joke and the jokes on me and everytime i start to feel better i have to get smacked in the fcking face with bullshit but thanks for the reminder id rather be aware i guess
