I saw someone mentioning this on Twitter and I just. can't stop thinking about it.

So at the start of Journal 3 we find an entry about giant "vampire" bats.

I think tasting your own blood when you get a minor injury and it bleeds is a pretty common thing, so I'm not sure why he's trying to convince us he's never tried it?????? Like, my guy, you didn't have to make it suspicious, but you did anyway. Now I'm concerned.

(Also, a really bad job of convincing us he never tasted human blood. If you're going to erase that part, maybe erase the whole sentence altogether. Like, with just "human blood tasted" we can guess where this is going.)

And I guess having opinions about how good human blood tastes is kinda weird, but knowing the guy it isn't the weirdest thing he's ever thought or done. He burns his own face because it's faster than shaving, for fuck's sake.

VR ottaa Sm6 Allergro -junat käyttöön kotimaan liikenteessä / VR starts operating the Sm6 Allergo units in intra-Finnish traffic

Aiemmin Helsingin ja Pietarin välillä liikennöineet Sm6-junat ovat tähän asti olleet VR:n ja Venäjän valtionrautateiden RŽD:n yhteisyritys Karelian Trainsin omistuksessa. RŽD:n laiminlyötyä taloudelliset velvollisuutensa Karelian Trainsiä kohtaan on VR tänään 14.12.2023 lunastanut yhteisyrityksen lainat ja panttioikeuden kautta ottanut kaikki neljä Sm6-junaa haltuunsa.

Sm6-junat ovat olleet käyttämättöminä yli 1½ vuoden ajan liikenteen Venäjälle päätyttyä Venäjän hyökättyä Ukrainaan. Kunnostamisen ja mahdollisen uudelleenbrändäämisen jälkeen junat tulevat VR:n omaan liikenteeseen todennäköisesti vuonna 2025. Sm6-junat perustuvat samaan perusratkaisuun kuin Sm3 Pendolino -yksiköt, joten mahdollisesti – kenties jopa todennäköisesti – ne tulevat liikenteeseen Pendolino-brändin alla.

The Sm6 trains, which previously operated between Helsinki and St. Petersburg, were until today owned by Karelian Trains, a joint venture between VR and the Russian state railway company RŽD. However, as RŽD repeated failed to pay their share of Karelian Trains' expenses, VR today took over Karelian Trains' loans and has taken over the four Sm6 units.

The Sm6's have been unused for 1½ years, as passenger services to Russia ceased as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. After renovation and possibly rebranding, the units will enter service on VR's own routes, likely in 2025. The Sm6 is based on the same platform as the Sm3 Pendolino units already operated by VR, so it is possible – perhaps even likely – they will enter service under the Pendolino brand name.

I get nine's motivations now, but his connection to MK doesn't make sense.

Was the Pillar of Creation damaged from Azure...taking the Jade Emperor's power or was the Pillar damaged by MK's fight with Azure.

If it's the first one, then Nine hanging around doesn't make any sense and him waking MK up didn't even need to happen. If it's the latter, then it wasn't expressed in the show that MK was the only one who could break and/or fix the pillar, and that's a huge thing to leave out.

And we know MK's not the only one who can damage the pillar. It was damaged before and Nuwa had to fix it. SO if the pillar of creation just needed to be damaged for Nine to get out, why the fuck didn't he leave as soon as those holes in the sky happened? Why didn't he peace out as soon as the Pillar of Creation was damaged, why did he stick around?

To see what choice MK made?? WHY DOES HE CARE ABOUT THAT, he just wants to go back out to see chaos. He wants to exist outside of the cycle.

So, since whatever choice MK made didn't matter, why did nine stick around and hold the Monkie Kids hostage and go through all that trouble. Why did he not just leave...as soon as he could. If he wanted to stick around and see what MK chose, then he could've, like, watched from the outside and been like "Hm. Oh he chose to face the chaos, that's nice. Anyway, bye."

I'm BASICALLY just wondering why Nine is around even toward the end. Why is he so invested in MK when Nine escaping the cycle didn't hinge on the Pillar of Creation being restored.
