trans headcanons for pre-existing characters in de are cool and fun and i respect ppl who do it bc its fun but personally i just cannot get into it because... you dont think that being a fucking transvestite in revachol would vastly alienate your personal experience from a cisgender person? in a game where you can literally choose to be a bigoted, raging fascist... in a game that takes a half-comedic sequence to talk about revacholian homosexuality and how phobia and bigotry still very much exist despite its legalisation; about its politics and how different members of the community choose to live with their desires...that the realities of a trans person living in revachol would be on the fringes of its society - communal, and possibly illegal - where everything could hinge on staying closeted.... in a game that lives and breathes the divides between its inhabitants, a trans person existing in the story would be a pretty big fucking plot detour into abandonment; marginalisation; unemployment; poverty; cisnormativity; intersections of oppression... and that/those character(s) would DEFINITELY NOT be... like..... a highly decorated police lieutenant.
