As I promised before, here are some extra doodles for their designs along w some backstory + discarded costume choices!

The reason why I made full body references when I only did a half-ish body drawing was because I didn't had the composition figured out at the time.

His costume design and backstory in the AU was heavily inspired by the Harley in the 2004 The Batman animated series because I happen to actually like how she was portrayed in that series.

Ofc I changed some key points, the biggest being the fact that he was never a psicologist because sdra2 already has Kokoro, plus, I thought that the idea of maintaining him as a journalist who caught himself in a mess was an interesting idea.

His civilian appearance was influenced by one of his beta designs.

The only discarded doodles I'm gonna show of him. They aren't detailed bc he got the role so I didn't see the point on detailing them.

I already knew how Mikado would look like so he doesn't have discarded choices except when it come to the color palette bc that's always a battle for me...

His design was slightly inspired by both Joker's design in The Batman 2004 and the Joker in the Suicide Squad Isekai Anime.

For a moment I thought about painting him a smile on his face like the anime Joker but inmediatly decided against it because I was too lazy to draw that a bunch of times🤷‍♀️

When I realized iroha wasn't gonna win I decided detail all her doodles and put them together so you could appreciate her design better!

Unlike Nikei, her costume design was more jester-like and includes the three diamond symbol bc I thought it would fit her very well.

If she would have won, her backstory would have been a lot more simple than the one Nikei has bc she simply got into the wrong place at the worst time and only helps Mikado bc he "promised" that if she served him, he wouldn't kill her so she doesn't even hide the fact that she doesn't feel love and instead fears him a lot.

Sure thing!

Emma Magorobi:

If you though Kizuna's wedding was extravagant, Emma's had reporters lining up at the reception just to get a view of the two of you 

Hajime has to act as a kind of bodyguard 

Of course, Nikei was the only one allowed (Something he would brag about for months)

Emma wears a luxuries white, long sleeved wedding dress

Emma is adamant on covering her scars, and you completely respect her privacy,

Being with you in a place of only your family and close friends makes her tear up, and she makes no attempt to hide her emotions

You are marrying her. She is getting married to you.

You tell her that you love her for who she is, not just because she's a Hollywood star

Knowing that she can trust your family, who accepted her as their own, and her closest friends who had experienced just as much pain as she did, Emma removes her contacts and doesn't dye her hair for the ceremony

In your vows, you tell her how you love the person she truly is, and she reciprocates your feelings in her own vows, showing genuine emotion, love, and gratitude 

Kokoro Mitsume:

Kokoro doesn't care much for weddings, but she can tell how much it means to you, and senses how happy you are about it

She'll help with anything you ask her to, but she mostly considers it to be your day

Her vows are pretty brief, and sound like a psychological definition of being in love, and while she doesn't have much emotion in her voice, she still has brief stumbles over her words with a small blush on her face, so you can tell me means every word 

She'd just sigh if you tried to pick her up bridal style for the picture, but that doesn't hide the small smile on her face

Kokoro didn't expect to have...fun, but she actually enjoyed the experience, but she would rather to have had less people present

It's not a day she'll forget anytime soon, or not smile when looking back on it, and it sure wasn't a day she would ever take for granted

Kanade Otonokoji:

Kanade makes sure the day is absolutely perfect, not a single possible thing could ruin this moment between you two

Today, she's not afraid to be the one bossing people around, and lord help anyone who tries to mess up your wedding day

Kanade's vows are breathtaking and emotional, making anyone who listens burst into tears, as she describes how much she loves you, how much you meant to you, and how she doesn't want to live a single day without you

Hibiki is crying, but acts like she doesn’t care, and Setsuka probably wasn’t even invited

Kanade writes you a song along with her vows, and plays it at the wedding’s karaoke booth

She’s written dozens of songs about you, none of which she actually published or played before, but today, she wouldn’t hold back her love for you, her true self almost slipping through 

She lets you pick her up for the wedding picture, but she could easily hold your entire body with just one hand 

She will shyly offer to feed you some cake, and might have to excuse herself for a moment if you actually agree

Even with her masterpieces that she sings and plays for you through the wedding, she still makes sure you two spend time together, dancing in each other’s arms as the ceremony came to a close 

Hibiki Otonokoji:

She is super excited about the wedding and is definitely going all out!

Obviously there's karaoke, along with colorful lights, cheerful music, and a giant cake

Instead of vows, Hibiki wrote a whole song for you! With the help of Setsuka and Kanade of course, showing just how much she loves you!

She would cover her face in her hands if you tried to pick her up for the wedding picture, but her adorable blush is still visible

Kanade makes a toast to the two of you, crying a bit as she does so, and congratulating the both of you

But it appears Kanade isn't Satisfied...

Hibiki insists that the two of you dance, and while she isn't the best dancer, she will still whine about how bad you are at it anytime you step on her toes

She'll try to dip you but fail miserably. You just laugh it off, happy that this is the girl you'll be spending the rest of your life with

Hibiki may never admit it, but nothing made her happier that day than being able to officially start a new life with you 

Setsuka Chiebukuro:

Even if she's the bride, in Setsuka's eyes, the day is all about you and her love for you

She makes it the best day either of you can imagine, filming every second with her eye camera

Setsuka goes all out with her vows, describing how much every moment with you meant to her, before sweeping you off your feet with the kiss

She also picks you up bridal style for the wedding photo, showing you off proudly to anyone and everyone

She dotes on you and feeds you wedding cake as all your family and close friends watch, laughing at your blush

Setsuka would enjoy a bar at the reception, and probably get in a dance off against Shinji at some point, but she's sure to save the last dance for you

Obviously she takes the lead, holding your hand and twirling you around, no matter your gender

Setsuka isn't shy to admit it was the best day of her life, always taking a break from her work and taking you to a fancy restaurant for every wedding anniversary to come

Sora:

Would enjoy a classy wedding, but not too luxurious 

Sora would tease you and act like this was all your idea, but she's doing most of the planning (But would always take your opinion into consideration)

Her vows aren't too long, but she spent a lot of time on them and tried her best to convey her feelings to you

She will feed you cake and will pick you up for the photo no matter what you say

She would always get you a banquet of flowers for your wedding anniversary, every single year

Sora would never forget your wedding day, treasuring every anniversary and every moment she has with you, nothing makes her happier than knowing you feel the same way, and your love is now officially eternal 

Yoruko Kabuya:

Yoruko would enjoy a calm, classy wedding rather than luxurious (But if you wanna spoil her, she won't object too much-)

She invites all of her coworkers and friends, and while she tries not to make a big deal out of the wedding, it really does mean a lot to her 

Her vows are pretty short but sweet, and she is trying her best to hold back tears 

She acts like the vows were no big deal, but she spent weeks writing hers, and almost breaks out in tears at yours 

Yoruko's dress is beautiful, but covers up a lot of her body, as she hates people staring at her body and cleavage during her job

She would absolutely refuse to let you pick her up or dip her during the kiss, her face would become as red as a tomato

If you tried to feed her cake, it would be just like the official Valentine's Day art, very blushy but won't stop you 

Iroha Nijue:

She probably had to wear a child sized wedding dress-

You can bet that Iroha didn't invite a single member of her family to the wedding 

Iroha would like a grand wedding, and being able to design the cake

You didn't think the Ultimate Painter would wear a plain white wedding dress, did you?

No, she filled it with as many details as she possibly could, with beautiful looking effects and scenery, with extra hints and details referring to both of your favorite anime characters and other special moments between the two of you that no one else would be able to understand

She has a giant smile on her face the whole day, and despite her short and simplistic vows, you can tell she put a lot of effort into them, and completely meant it

The playlist of the wedding mostly consists of anime theme songs rather than romantic or classical music, and the two of you dance to it

The cake is absolutely giant, and she savors every bite with you, and if you feed her, she will completely melt

  It was dark outside, and not even turning on lights in his home helped soothe his soul. Not even trying to design some colorful clothes helped, the usually comforting snip snip of his scissors doing nothing but make him feel more and more uneasy as minutes went by. Teruya couldn’t even focus on the task at hand, and his cuts and sewing weren’t as perfect as he expected them to be; it made him frustrated, yet he tried to go on for his sanity’s sake.

  His heart ached– a familiar combination of loneliness and grief kept his soul alert, his muscles tensing up at every sound, every flicker of light or even the familiar howling of the town’s dogs. It didn’t make anything better and at one point, Teruya dropped the cloth he had been handling with so much care, and left it on the table with an annoyed huff coming from his mouth; he couldn’t focus at all. His body was too tense, his mind was running with too many possible outcomes of that night… it would be better to pick up that idea once he felt a bit better.

  He was alone at home, with nothing but his projects to keep him company; and it wasn't like he could just talk with his best friends in the world, it was Friday, f or heavens’ sake! Haru and Satsuki were probably hanging out together back at his old city, playing around, eating at a McKing or something, and… maybe they had already found a new friend to replace him, one who wouldn't be as anxious as a toddler when his dad left on a business trip. Someone who wasn’t afraid of being on his own for more than an hour or two. 

  It wasn't like his father had never left him for a while in order to work; in the past, Teruya would just spend the night at Haru's place, playing and doing anything they could to avoid his anxiety from taking over him– but that wasn't an option anymore, and it hadn’t been for months. His friend lived countless hours away now in the city, and his dad now seemed him fit to be on his own now that he was finally sixteen years old. The merchant wasn't too fond of the idea, yet it was true that he wasn't a child anymore; he would prove to his parent that he could deal with anything!

  … or that's what he had thought earlier, when the sun could still be seen high in the sky, no darkness in sight. Being alone was something he despised with all of his soul but there was something worse; being on his own in the middle of the night…  It would be a miracle if Teruya managed to close his eyes for longer than a couple of seconds. His body felt cold from head to toe, palms sweaty by sheer nervousness; but he shouldn’t react like that. Logically, he knew that nothing bad would happen to him, yet his heart refused to listen to his mind, and so the boy looked at every little thing as if an unknown enemy would suddenly appear from the shadows of his room. It was exhausting, and… tarnation , there was no way to keep himself at ease, was it?

  If only his dad was there to tell him how he felt. No– he was almost an adult, for heaven’s sake! He should be able to handle some loneliness with no problem!

  Teruya decided to grab his phone; perhaps a video or two of Toktik would calm him down, seeing some cute animals or funny memes… he managed to let out a couple of chuckles, yet it still wasn’t enough to soothe that feeling of dread that plagued his chest. He looked at the screen without thinking at anything at all, only snapping out of his small trance as he saw a message coming from his dad.

   ‘Good night Teru Xoxo’ was all it said, and the boy let out a soft sigh. And then, his eyes sparkled as an idea crossed his mind– perhaps he could text someone! That way, distance wouldn’t be a hindrance for him to speak with his friends.

  But Haru and Satsuki were offline… However, checking between his contacts he realized that one of the people he had got to know in Utsuroshima was online– Nikei, the boy that Teruya had more or less fallen in love with in a short time. They had quickly become good friends, and hung out together alongside his friend group every now and then… he was a sweet person, and it wasn’t a surprise that Teruya took a liking to him. Haru and Satsuki knew everything about him by now, listening to him talk during their calls as if there was no distance at all between the three.

  Maybe talking with him would help. It took the merchant a couple of minutes to gather the courage to text a simple ‘hey, you busy?’, and a little smile appeared on his face at seeing an almost immediate response. Nikei was always like that, doing his best to listen and answer to everyone he cared for.

   ‘not rlly, and u?’ was what his friend had typed. It wasn’t anything too impressive or deep, yet Teruya couldn’t help it but grin as they began texting a bit more.

  ‘nah. just wanted to say hi. dad’s out and i don’t really have much 2 do u.u’

  This time, it took a couple of minutes for Nikei to reply, yet Teruya’s joy did nothing but increase.

  ‘same tbh. want to hang out? we could walk around or smt, don’t rlly have anything important to do rn’

  That was enough for his soul to feel calmer, soothed, and in no time the two were arranged a time and place for their meeting– it probably wasn’t a good idea to be outside so late with such low temperatures, but it would be worth it for as long as they could just… goof around with each other. Or so the merchant believed.

  He grabbed a couple of sweaters and his thickest scarf, for Winters near the sea were both humid and cold, so Teruya would need anything to avoid frostbite at that hour. He left his house, making sure everything was closed before going on his way.

  Utsuroshima was empty at that time, and only the sea could be heard– a couple of streetlights were on but otherwise, the daunting darkness made his throat feel tied up. Shaky breaths left his lips, forming small clouds of steam as the air left from his mouth. That was the place they had arranged to meet in, close enough to his house so anxiety wouldn’t affect him too much yet also near the town center.

  ‘Where r u?? :<’ Teruya texted his friend, his leg bouncing with sheer nervousness. And then, a pair of hands gently covered his gaze, and familiar giggles soon were heard. Soothing enough for him to do the same.

  “Hey, guess who I am?” a very ‘unknown’ voice said, a higher pitch than what the merchant had been expecting.

  “Nikei, I know it’s you!” Teruya replied with laughter in his voice, and then his eyes were free once again. Nikei grinned at him, also covered to the head with countless coats. “I was worried you weren’t going to come…”

  “I wouldn’t do that, don’t worry. So… where do you want to go?”

  That would be a little hard; being in such a small town, pretty much everything was closed by that time, except places meant only for adults like the rival bars close to the beach. They weren’t going to be able to sneak in, plus Teruya wanted to be somewhere quieter for the night… had it been another time, they probably would have just chatted on an Otori Mart, which his dad owned and sometimes let him design stuff for.

  “Gosh, I don’t know– you can pick. I’m sure you know of a good place,” he replied, and his friend gave a thumbs up and began walking towards a place Teruya didn’t know yet. Although, it wasn’t as if he did much outside of school and going out with his small yet warm friend group in the place, apart from sometimes visiting the beach after class.

  Who would say that a small place would have such intricate paths? Concrete turned into a mixture of sand and earth as they went on for a couple of minutes with nothing but nature in front of their eyes, until a small playground appeared far away– once they approached it, Teruya could tell that  it seemed old, almost abandoned, with an unavoidable corrosion made by the salty wind leaving a bigger mark than whatever graffiti other townsfolk left around. The boy wondered who might have drawn such… inappropriate imagery on a place meant for children, but he decided to not think too much of it.

  “We’re here. Welcome to… Utsuroshima Square! Where all your dreams become reality,” Nikei exclaimed, doing funny movements with his arms as he presented the toys that kids used to play with who knows how long ago– he was passionate when narrating the history of such a small place, and Teruya thought it was adorable.

  But well, anything Nikei did was cool in his eyes no matter what. Somehow the gelid coldness of Winter was forgotten as the other boy spoke, trying to make sure that he was still listening and paying attention. It contrasted against the warmth of his chest, yet… he missed his dad, however childish that might be. Teruya was quietly following the journalist, until in the end they sat down on the swings, facing each other without saying much at first.

  “You know, I used to come here all the time when I was a kid. Lost a baby tooth falling from the slide once,” Nikei said out of a sudden, trying to fill the silence between the two once again. Teruya let out a little smile, but it faded as quickly as it had appeared… his friend squinted his eyes at that. “Teruya, you know you can tell me whatever you want. We’re friends! I can tell something’s not right…”

  For a moment there was an uncomfortable quietness between the two, and Teruya played with the game as he analyzed whether to be honest or just keep up the act– what would Nikei say if he admitted to missing his dad? He was already in high school and, even if he wouldn’t say it out loud, it would be too embarrassing to say that to none other than his crush… who was also a good friend, one of the people who welcomed him to this unknown new town with open arms apart from Iroha, Emma and Hajime. And he had said it himself…

  Well. It wasn’t like the journalist would go spreading his secrets as if they were one of his articles– Nikei would never do that to him.

  “It’s… do you promise to not laugh at me?” he mumbled, and it took him a bit to go on even if his friend had nodded at him. “I told you dad’s gone, remember? And… gosh, I miss him so much. I used to go to Haru’s house when he was gone, and now I… can’t just do that! I hate being on my own.”

  His first instinct was to look at the ground– Teruya had told him that his mom had died a long time ago, but he had never admitted that he pretty much was terrified of not being accompanied by someone. Monophobia, some people called it, but he knew it only as anxiety.

  There was silence and for a moment, Teruya imagined the laughs that his companion would pronounce, echoing in the back of his mind as the wind moved his hair… it was only that, though. His brain was playing games on him as it usually did, for Nikei had nothing but softness in his visible lavender eye, the other one covered by his own hair.

  “You’ve always been with your dad, of course you’d miss him,” Nikei exclaimed, always so sweet with his friend. Teruya felt a couple of tears threatening to fall down from his eyes, but he moved his head to the sides and went on.

  “Oh, and– um, I really appreciate what you and the others have done with me. Welcoming me in your group and all. But…” the merchant mumbled, letting out a long, long sigh afterwards. “I miss Haru and Satsuki so much, you know? We haven’t seen each other since we last said goodbye, apart from our calls… I’m afraid they might’ve replaced me, or gotten bored of me, or–”

  “Teruya, hey… they’re your best friends! They’re not going to replace you– I’m sure they miss you as much as you miss them. Don’t say that, okay?”

  For a moment, the merchant looked away, knowing that what Nikei said was true; it would take a bit to convince his heart of the truth, but for now he would try to listen. He looked away before replying.

  “... gosh, I’m talking so much, I’m so sorry! I just needed to vent a bit… you cheered me up,” Teruya said in the end, letting out a little smile as he talked, deciding to remain quiet afterwards.

  Hearing nothing but honesty coming from his friend made Nikei’s eyes soften up, at seeing how much he trusted him in order to vent like that... He moved the earth with his feet, gaze on the ground as he decided to fill the silence with his words, avoiding his friend’s eyes while talking.

  “... I know what it's like. Being in a new, unknown place you still can’t call ‘home’... I don’t think you know, but– my parents abandoned me when I was younger,” the journalist admitted, letting out a soft sigh afterwards. From then, it was like an unstoppable flood came out of his mouth, and Teruya remained quiet to listen patiently; it was the least he could do for him. “Mom’s cousin took me in, but– well. He’s not the, uh, best person out there… I never know what he’ll try to do to me, so I must be as quiet as possible when I’m at home. And when I dated my ex, he– he became worse.”

  His voice broke in the end, his throat hurting by the effort. There was some kind of weight on his shoulders, on his neck, that felt lighter somehow with everything he said out loud. Tears threatened to escape from his eyes, but he fought them– he was supposed to be strong, and now his feelings were taking over.

  Seeing that Teruya smiled at him once again was enough to help Nikei continue talking, playing with his fingers in the meanwhile.

  “Sometimes, I feel completely alone, like nobody would ever care about what I say. But I have my friends, and I have you, Teruya,” the black haired boy said, a grin slowly making its way on his face. “I tend to lose myself in my articles and papers to not think about life. You guys help– and, I don’t think you know. I had a boyfriend once– Mikado, the ex I mentioned. I loved him with my whole heart, but he just… cheated on me with someone from his class. I guess that’s also why I’m wary of new people– somehow, I could open myself to you. And I’m glad for that, because we’re friends now.”

  “Oh, darn it… Nikei, I’m so sorry to hear about that– everything. I can see why you’re so passionate with journalism, just like I am with designing,” Teruya exclaimed, and his companion just nodded, looking away.

  “I– I don’t know why I’m telling you this, but… I just feel like I could tell you anything, you know?”

  And then, a sudden silence arose after his words. Teruya looked at his friend once again with curiosity, noticing that Nikei now seemed a bit nervous; he wasn’t used to talking about what was in his heart, and now the merchant knew exactly why.

  After placing a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to help, his friend found the strength to continue for a couple of seconds.

  “... fuck. I’m here to cheer you up, and I’m just telling you about myself and my issues,” the black haired boy exclaimed, his gaze falling on the ground. “I’m so sorry, Teruya.”

  “Gosh, you don’t need to be! You listened to me, so it’s only fair I do the same with you! I’m… I’m happy you trust me enough to tell me this,” Teruya replied with a smile decorating his face, slightly leaning towards his friend without even noticing it.

  He didn't tend to hear Nikei talk about his life with him, just with the rest of their friend group and even then the journalist tended to be pretty vague; he was too used to keeping everything deep inside of his chest, suffering on his own, for being ignored was common in his eyes unless it was about what he wrote for the school’s newspaper. For him to open up to Teruya like that… their friendship might have been pretty new, yet there was a strong bond between the two boys. 

  His heartbeats were loud against the silent night, deafening– instinct took over and without even realizing it, the merchant found himself getting even closer to his friend, to his lips… Nikei didn’t move at all, not knowing what to do, yet allowing him to steal a short kiss from him. Neither of them moved for a couple of seconds, in which Teruya’s cheeks heated up even with the gentle and cold breezes of the sea hitting them both.

  Crap. He let go of his friend as quickly as he had kissed him, ignoring the need of his soul to continue the small gesture.

  “Aw, shucks! I’m so sorry, I should’ve asked before–” Teruya started to say, nervously looking away, but he was interrupted by a pair of lips meeting his own. His eyes widened, and it was like time had suddenly stopped around him.

  His chest felt warm, his face felt warm; he felt like he could melt at any moment!

  “I love you, Teruya,” the journalist admitted with a soft voice after letting go, a reddish tint decorating his cheeks. Teruya felt himself being hugged and allowed it without complaint, shifting his weight on the swing so neither of them would fall.

  They had kissed! Twice! And Nikei had– gosh , it was the best day of his life!

  He felt safe in his arms, as Nikei played with his hair without saying much for a time that seemed eternal– or at least, Teruya wished it was like that, so their small moment together would never end. But his companion spoke up, and he tiredly raised his head to look at him.

  “You’re falling asleep… Do you want to go to your house?” was all Nikei asked in whispers, making sure to not startle the other boy too much. Teruya stirred up and nodded, getting up from his swing without saying anything at all; his tiredness was more obvious now, and the journalist couldn’t help it but let out a small smile at him.

  Joyful chuckles filled the air as the two walked together through the town, fingers entwined and a reddish hue on their cheeks. Suddenly the path didn’t seem so daunting– Teruya wasn't alone anymore, and he had kissed his crush! Who loved him, too! Perhaps being left behind by his dad had been the best thing to ever happen to him in a while, leaving him at ease in a still unfamiliar town by the seaside.

  As they arrived at Teruya's home, exhaustion soon took its place in their bodies; after a couple of long yawns, he ended up inviting Nikei to spend the night at his place, in a sleepover of sorts. The fear of being on his own was still strong, albeit it would be kept in check for as long as the merchant had company– knowing this, his friend (Were they boyfriends now?) ended up agreeing, too tired to walk back to his house.

  No words were needed between the two as a comfortable silence accompanied them; exchanging another pair of gentle kisses, the boy laid side by side on Teruya's bed, holding hands under the warmth blanket and never letting go of the other. They wouldn't be alone anymore, and their relationship would flourish from that point onwards, with no need to hide in that small town– that was one point for Utsuroshima, one good thing. Change still made Teruya, yet for once he was glad that they had to leave the city… he had a lot of things to tell Haru and Satsuki once he woke up!

  But that's for another story. For now they would sleep under the darkness of the night and the soft light of the stars, their breathing evening as they started to dream of mundane things; maybe about the future, or about each other– only time would tell.

Delivery service (Akane & Teruya) I can't explain this one, th-they just stand next to each other during the trial and somehow it turned into me liking them as a possible comedic friendship duo.

Clockwork duo (Fake Yuki & Yamato) The freetime events,also yamato's comment on him wishing "yuki" could've always been like this or something like that.

Holy glass duo (Kinji & Haruhiko) These two have so much potential as a duo just look at both of their free time events, they'd get along so flippin well.

Baton duo (Satsuki & Tsurugi) chapter 4, satsuki being a good influence and helping tsurugi lighten up warms my heart.

Schematic duo (Rei & Yamato) Their small interactions during the what if chapter made me interested, i'd love to try and come up with the wacky hijinks these two would commit.

Two cell duo (Haruhiko & Teruya) The bestie's, the best bro's, need I say more?

Web gear duo (Kiyoka & Mikako) I can't exlain this one but I think kiyoka and pre kg mikako would get along really great

Prisim duo (Teruya & Yamato) The sillies, rare pair of all time, short person and tall person, teruya's wackiness rubs off on yamato at times, they watch anime together, they do movie marathons together, teruya comes up with the silliest invention ideas and sometimes yamato actually makes them. Also both become symbols of hope for others.

Switchblade duo (Ayame & Akane) Do I even need to explain this one? chapter 2, the school flashback, akane redeeming herself because of ayame

Chesspiece duo (Tsurugi & Yamato) They were best friends, they totally no homoly played chess, I will never be over them

Sun and Moon duo (Utsuro & Yamato) shakes them what is with these two!? yamato doesn't take utsuro's bullshit, utsuro just rolls his eyes at him, and yet its implied alter ego kisaragi was able to stop the monokuma's because of him!? It was definitely not fake yuki who did that or yamato wouldn't be dead in general, so it had to be utsuro, so what gives sir!? Also everything in chapter zero, homo rivals 100% Also did you know part of yamato's name or surname means moon while the sun is apparently supposed to represent despair in this series? yeah, yeah these two are so nuts.

Trio's:

Healing web (Mikako, Ayame, & Akane) Mikako helps calm akane down in that one scene, I already explained ayame & akane, mikako and ayame totally did races together during hopes peak time, they could be such a cool trio.

Hyper care trio (Kanata, Ayame, & Satsuki) 3 of the kindest characters in the game, ayame probably needs kanata's health expertise a lot, satsuki cheers ayame on at matches, satsuki takes mild intrest in kanata's work and listens to her talk about it sometimes, kanata watches satsuki preform while also helping her incase she gets injured, they have movie nights and game nights, they also play d&d together. The they.

Professional trio/The three K's (Kinji, Kakureru, Kanata) Chapter zero, I also think they are just in general peek healthy friend group goals

Balloon trio/Sunshine trio (Haruhiko, Teruya, & Satsuki) The goofy friend trio I wish I could have, they are literally so sweet they deserve everything.

Survivor trio (Rei, Tsurugi,& Teruya) they are everything to me, they could have been such good friends/poly couple (potentially), if only tsurugi got therapy.

Analyzer duo (Kokoro & Sora) sora could be a decent influence on kokoro while helping sora get better at figuring stuff out during trials, also they would totally stay up and text each other.

Shiny Colors duo (Hibiki & Yuri) idk, I just think if yuri got past his dream just a bit I think he and Hibiki would be a kinda iconic duo, like they’d just click? I can’t really explain it but I think they could’ve been an interesting duo

Inkblot duo (Iroha & Nikei) siblings siblings siblings siblings, I’ve already explained a bit on Nikei and iroha possible relationship, they have sibling energy so much and I wish we got more interactions with them cause I bet they’d be sweet.

Smile therapy (Yoruko & Emma) yoruko complains about something and Emma listens, Emma vents to yoruko after opening up and she helps her with her trauma, they drink smoothies together, Emma helps yoruko keep her composure and control her temper, they take pictures together, they have friend potential I swear.

Bloody Mary duo (Mikado & Kanade) they come together just to make others suffer, they are a match made in hell and are each others only real friends tbh. They have surprisingly a few things in common and they bond over their shared bloodlust.

Poppy duo (Teruya & Yuki) they both deserve better and have suffered immensely, also teruya getting to know the real yuki while yuki has someone to look up to (aside from shinji) and listen to teruya ramble about fashion with interest, they are sweet.

Note sheet duo (Hibiki & Nikei) omg two of the begonia trio. Nikei interviews Hibiki and Hibiki rambles and complains to Nikei and listens intently while writing some of it down so he can keep it in mind, they bond over their devotion to their work and hatred of the Bloody Mary duo.

Lazy duo (Iroha & Syobai) epilogue, also maybe syobai helps Iroha get a backbone while Iroha helps Syobai let people in his life.

Cotton candy duo (Yoruko & Setsuka) setsuka helps yoruko be more outgoing, does her nails sometimes, helps yoruko warm up to people more while yoruko opens up her thoughts and feelings to setsuka and helps get advice on how to handle things, yoruko becomes friendlier and more laidback thanks to setsuka.

Rainbow flame (Shinji & Yuri) Shinji being the one to reach out to yuri and helping him warm up to other men because of how Shinji while pretty loud and a bit aggressive is also a huge sweetheart that cares for everyone.

Caged Sparrows (Sora & Nikei) nikei’s free time events, watch them. They are a mix of funny, interesting, and heartbreaking. I wish they got more interactions outside of the fte’s, also I’m convinced they’d either be partners or rivals.

Fake merch duo (Teruya & Syobai) teruya is a good influence on Syobai, Syobai is a bad influence on teruya. Teruya does not take Syobai’s shit, Syobai is somewhat refreshed by it.

Apple pun duo (Emma & Hajime) void theater, also they give off mom friend and dad friend energy and it’s amazing.

Sun vs Space (Mikado & Yuri) possibly could’ve had a really interesting dynamic, like chapter 1 hinted at a possible dynamic low key but we never got it so yeah I want this explored. Also yuri tolerating mikado because he’s smart enough to know not to ignore or underestimate the literal mastermind of the game, and mikado at least somewhat respecting yuri because of that.

Trio’s:

Begonia/trauma trio (Hibiki, Nikei, Teruya) OMG begonia trio my favs, I already covered why I like them but again they just have so many things in common and I just know they would be good influences on each other. Nikei teaching Hibiki to not take anyones bullshit, teruya and nikei possibly reconciling and bonding over their care for others and trust issues, teruya being someone Hibiki could vent to and be validated for being upset, teruya helping the others recover from their trauma while he heals just from being with them, I love them I love them so much.

Nail painting trio (Sora, Yoruko, & Setsuka) they literally had friend group potential linuj literally said so. I’m just imagining what a great influence setsuka would have been on Sora and yoruko and the fun hijinks that could’ve ensued with these three plus how it could’ve possibly affected the story. Seriously I don’t stay this enough, linuj should’ve let Sora interact with people other than yoruko or yuki more.

Void theater trio (Hajime, Emma, & Nikei) Do I need to explain, they have such a fun dynamic in void theater I wish we could see them interact when not dead and Nikei is not in a anger fit, I want more void interactions please.

Workout buddies (Yuki, Shinji, & Hajime) the bros, the buddies, the best buds. Yuki having two older bros, Shinji and Hajime’s friendship, combined it would be wholesome bro hours times two.

Rainbow trio (Iroha, Yuri, & Teruya) I think Iroha and teruya would be good influences for yuri, teruya and yuri being closer to Iroha would help her become more confident, and Iroha and yuri bond with teruya over their interests and help teruya improve his fashion designs.

The sun, The moon, And space (Mikado, Setsuka, & Yuri) just the space theme, and the complex dynamic of these three. Setsuka and yuri probably bonded on their own time and setsuka being setsuka eventually helped yuri get better with his unhealthy view of his dream, but when Nikei asks for her help she decides to for whatever reason invite mikado to join their little hang outs and oddly he accepts, like he probably knows she’s up to something but the three end up hanging out anyways and they somehow make it work. This obviously takes place in a au where yuri lives past chapter 1.

Bonus:

Groups larger than three plus crossover duos and trios:

Pain trio/Gladiolus trio (Mikado, Tsurugi, & Kanade) the exact opposite of the begonia trio, they are the ones that cause the pain and trauma, they only make each other worse, and I have a love hate relationship with them. Mikado and Kanade Soly bond over their fucked up mind sets and are in this trio for their own selfish needs. Who the hell knows how Tsurugi ended up with these two but it’s not like he hadn’t worked with criminals before, so he’s probably in this for his own selfish goal as well. I imagine the latter two being a horrible influence on Tsurugi while Tsurugi treats them as mere tools for his own benefit. Like I said, they are the exact opposite of the begonia trio, but their dynamics interesting to think about at least. Also they get a flower based name too, look up the gladiolus the symbolism fits these three well I think.

The amnesiac gang (Yuki, Yamato, Sora, Kokoro, & Teruya) they all have amnesia in some way and that bonds them, plus all these different kinds of people in a friend group is fun to think about. I imagine this friend group taking place in a non despairish au, Kokoro being her teen self and not related to mikako in anyway, and Sora being akane or someone else completely depending on interpretation. Also whether yuki is the real one or fake one is up to you guys it works either way.

The house of AI’s (Monocrow, Sora, AE Utsuro, AI Kisaragi, & Mikado) all the ai’s in the series as a group, what will they do. I think this is one of my favorite possible dynamics because they wouldn’t simply all become friends like…mikado and utsuro are in this group. They’d have such a complex relationship and I think it’d be neat to explore.

Space gang (Setsuka, Yuri, Mikado, Yamato, and Utsuro) omg all the space themed peoples. This groups a mess and yet you would catch them talking to each other every once in awhile, they also have a group chat. Non despair au obviously but mikados probably a annoying lil bitch still.

Smart gang (Yuri, Kokoro, Kanade, & Syobai) the iconic group. they probably have the same classes, have their own lunch table, and got a group chat in a non despair au. They probably wouldn’t get along in canon but I think they’d still bond a bit.

Therapy quartet (Yoruko, Kokoro, Akane, & Tsurugi) This is literally just these bitches need therapy and yoruko and kokoro answering the call but it’s mostly going to be yoruko, she’s the sanest in this group. Also all of them being people others look up to but need some help themselves.

Utsuro & Sora: did you know that both of their names mean empty? I’m dead I can’t believe it either. Anyways protag solidarity, I wonder how they’d get along if Sora wasn’t having a existential crisis.

Also kind of want to touch on the 7 homunculi, like we know what the pride!Utsuro situation is, and that wrath!Nikei will probably die and brought back.

But how about the others?

Like lust!Akane and envy!Mikako like in the anime? And what would their bond be like? Also we mention something about gluttony!Hajime taking sloth place cause that makes sense. And since wrath!Nikei is the one who betrays what is greed!Emma doing? And sloth!Iroha, does she just swap with hajime?

yeah i think akane and mikado would follow the story closely to canon lust and envy with some differences (i think lust!akane deserves to live longer than canon lust, maybe even shes allowed to live on as sora after all but one soul are used up)

i see these two as reluctant allies who only really work together because of mother

it might be a glimpse of her future life as sora as akane really cant stand mikados antics and finds him incredibly annoying

also as i think about it more, if gluttony!hajime was busy digging the tunnel then we wouldnt have yamato being stuck in the gluttony shadow realm, transmuting himself to go through the gate and using mikados souls to pay the toll and most importantly finding mikakos body

so what i think should happen is to completely remove the tunnel digging part, i think what would be more fitting to iroha is that instead of digging a tunnel she is painting the transmutation circle using colors that blend into the scenery. however, whenever an obstacle is present either military or hajime come to help get rid of whatever is blocking the circle

this way iroha does something more suitable to her character while hajime can be more present in the story, its kind of interesting to see how him as gluttony would change things up a bit. at least personality-wise as hajime isnt a complete moron like canon gluttony (since he came up with an elaborate murder plan in sdra2 for example). actually, i think that with his huge focus on good health, he hates being forced to use his homunculi abilities but has to comply nonetheless

hajime also allows akane to make sense not to die so early on as lusts death wouldnt cause him to flip out and consume everything in his way as much as it was with canon gluttony. its very likely that mikado manipulates him into doing that instead

when it comes to greed!emma, maybe she could take a similar but not identical position to canon wrath. she is a well known public figure and a famous actress (movies do exist in the fma universe, ed mentions watching a movie or two in the manga) who uses her position to spread propaganda and keep the citizens under control from an unseen place

the public is surprised to hear that miss magorobi doesnt fully need bodyguards to accompany her but she just replies that she knows a whole lot about self-defense (and has a coal shield)

Hibiki & Kanade

Hibiki outright threatens anyone who tries flirting with you. 

She wants everyone to know you’re off-limits (i.e kicking Nikei where the sun didn’t shine when he got too “invasive” in an interview about your relationship with the twins).

Kanade reverts back to her murderous-self at times, killing anyone you might be close to without you even knowing it.

Sometimes you had to break up vicious fights between them, seeing them legit killing each other to win your affection.

They only stop when you declared you’ll leave if they didn’t get along.

Hibiki sobs her eyes out, promising it won't happen again, while Kanade silently hugs you as you clean up their wounds.

Setsuka

Her motherly nature kicks into maximum overdrive.

With her cybernetic eye, she keeps watch over you, making sure nobody’s giving you trouble.

She’s not self-conscious of it anymore when around you, so she’ll keep it open to record every moment you two spend alone together.

She won’t kill anyone, because she’s smart and won’t take that much of a risk.

Though she might “accidentally” crush the fingers of her opponent with one of the balls if they were looking at you beforehand.

Emma

She'd spoil you rotten and spew threats at anyone who dares to insult you, even her assistants.

You're the only one who treated her as an equal the moment you met..and since then she became 100% obsessed over you

Often guilt-trips you through her classic crocodile tears and laments that you don't love her anyone, especially when you try saying you have somewhere to be.

You learned to see through them for the most part.

But she gets hostile and clingy if you don't tell her where you're going and/or when you'll be back.

Iroha

She starts dedicating all of her newest paintings to you, leaving them as gifts even on days that have no importance. Some are sweet and beautiful, and others are...slightly disturbing.

You notice she's using a lot more red than usual, too, and question her.

But she claims it's is the color of love, and you've been inspiring her a lot lately--that's the only reason.

You offered to buy her some more red paints, though she reassures you that she's got "plenty to spare".

There's this eerie look to her eyes as she says that, but you try not to think much of it.

Yoruko

Would slip drugs/poison into the cups of people who are bothering you or keep flirting with either of you.

It's not enough to kill them, of course, but enough to make them not want to come back to the restaurant.

After she's done and on break, she'll join you at your table, acting innocent as a lamb and feigning sympathy for the poor soul who had to be taken out on a stretcher.

She's so subtle you wouldn't notice a thing.

Sora

Would be the scary and silent type, glaring daggers at anyone who spoke to you, even Monocrow.

Ever since arriving to the island, she became extremely and obsessively protective over you, even though she wasn't sure why she felt this way.

Maybe you've been that important to her life..that she was paranoid about losing you.

You try helping her regain her memories--and pull her away from others when she glared at them for saying "hi" to you.

She snaps at anyone who dared accuse you of murder or being in Void, even if that makes herself look suspicious.

Kokoro

It's tough seeing her as a yandere tbh.

She's just very observant of your personality and the behaviors of others around you.

So she knows you're loyal and isn't concerned about you talking to other people.

She'll let you know, too, which comes off as a bit odd to you at first.

Though you mistake it for her feeling insecure, so you reassure her you love her with all your heart.

wow that’s so crazy!! can’t believe kids r fucking dead!! but it was like 20 years ago no one cares, nothing else is gonna happen,, time to settle down and have some kids!

jk everyone adopts, from the same orphanage, yamato was able to find one that had 4 little kids who had gotten close and didn’t wanna be separated, so all four households took one!

Enter Household Inori! Kanata, Kakeru and Kinji have lovingly taken little Hajime Makunouchi into their home! He’s a very lovely child, if a bit health conscious due to his past and his surgeon mother

Enter Household Hatano! Ayame, Kizuna and Kiyoka along with their lovely new daughter Emma! She’s just as fiery and passionate as her mothers, and it shows! They all work perfectly together, and are four girls you don’t wanna fuck with.

Household Kisaragi! Yamato darling hasn’t found anyone he really clicks with, but that actually works best for his darling Iroha! She’s used to being excessively monitored, so having some personal space when she needs it/being in a less crowded home is very good for her!

And finally, Household Iranami! Satsuki, Haruhiko and Mikako wound up with Nikei, who fits right in! He’s actually the reason the four were discovered, as Yamato was trying to track him down, since years ago Mikako had him at a time she wasn’t ready for a child, and gave him up for adoption. He wound up back in the system, and has now been reunited with his mom, and has two more adoring parents!

Yuki and Akane live together, and Mitch is by himself, but the kids still love them all the same! Uncle Mitch becomes a quick favorite and a source of candy before dinner, and Akane/Yuki can be a bit scary, but they’re still loved nonetheless!

So just like their parents, the kids grow up exploring their neighborhood together, and always questioning why they aren’t allowed to go into the woods, but never getting a explanation

I mean, it’s not like they need to get all freaked out and worried, they can just entertain themselves in other ways and be kept in the dark..

it all works until the day that they have to explain why Mr. Yuki won’t be able to play anymore.. he’s disappeared into the forest, just like Tsurugi, Rei and Teruya did all those years ago.

So the kids are all brought together as their parents sadly recount the story, and convince their kids they should never go into the strange forest with a history of making people disappear.. I mean what kinda kid would want to go poke around in there?

so the quartet sets off to find the missing people! just imagining how happy everyone will be to see their friends again, it’s more than enough to keep them all going!

led by (literal fucking idiot, too curious for his own good) nikei, they start searching. they’re able to piece together where it all happened, based off the pictures they’ve seen, and are very hyped to find the old tree akane had climbed, with the three missing children’s names carved in an- holy fuck is that candy??

swedish fish and sweettarts, lemonheads and 100 grand bars, fruit stripes and astro pops and so much more! And even better, they’re all from the 60s.. and lead right to where the children were lost….

But now is no time for fear, not when they’re so close to the truth! So they follow the trail until suddenly, everything goes shifting and spinning around then, the dark colors of the forest twisting and twirling into the much brighter hues of..

-Everything was blissful, S/O made friends and they spend time together until the idea of the party was proposed. If your actual self was being displayed, there wouldn’t be a chance that you would be offered to do something like this, but since it wasn't known, what could go wrong?

-The party was rather boring, in your opinion as you stir the beverage with a straw looking around. Your behavior perked up when Setsuka had approached, “Huh? What’s the matter Suka-chan?” You asked, forcing a fake smile onto your face as she slung her arm around you and laughed slightly. “Why aren’t cha havin funnn? This is a once in a life time chanceeee..!” There was a small hiccup could be heard from her while you shook your head. “I am, I’m just a little tired.”

- Setsuka nodded before she stumbled off, S/O scoffed, as they soon stood up seeing as the party was slowly starting to come to a close. “Don’t worry, I’ll help take some of them back to their rooms!” You chirped over to the worried Yokuro as you made your way towards Nikei and Iroha, and started to bring them off to their rooms.

-With a small chuckle, you spoke with the intoxicated teens as you brought them back to their rooms. “Smank you..s/o!” Nikei hiccuped as he made his way into his room most likely collapsing instantly. Iroha was just laughing uncontrollably and so you had to tuck her in before leaving. Humming softly, you been to whisper a song underneath your breath as she made her way to her room.

-The sound of the birds chirping is what caused S/O to wake up, stretching their arms over their head they got up and got dressed. Before starting to make their way towards the room after changing into their daily attire. The Ultimate plushmaker it was clear that S/o’s attire would reflect that with a pep in their step they soon excited the monocruise wanting something to do. This game was sure starting off slow, that’s for sure.

- I What brought them out of their thoughts was the sound of the bell ringing so they started running towards the curious of what happened. Perhaps a murder? A surprise visitor? Who knows, but then they arrived one of their guesses was crossed off of the list. That being a murder and the victim was nonother then the Ultimate Astronaut Yuri Kagarin. S/O had a frown on their face, contrary to the horrified expressions of their classmates. “Shame, I didn’t get to see it happen..” You muttered harshly underneath you breathe before shaking your head. “Poor Yuri, he was our friend!” You exclaimed, much louder as you put your hands over your eyes and shook your head being slightly dramatic, yes, but it certainly got the point across.

- Towards the end of the trial, S/o was slightly surprised to find out that it was Hajime that committed the murder. But the other side of her, behind the facade, was simply jumping in joy from this. What would be the punishment? The execution? So many thoughts raced, that she had zoned out during most of the end trial, but they soon snapped out of it at the mention of ‘void’ and ‘masterminds’.

- Before S/o could ask, Hajime was pulled off into his execution with S/o smiling cheerfully when the boxer was pulled away before it faded almost instantly as to not look suspicious.

- When it was over, S/O let out a soft giggle as well as a smirk with a small glint in their eyes as they left the trial room.

- Oh how they couldn’t wait for another murder to take place, things seemed to be getting interesting afterall..

- The next victim, Kokoro Mitsume, it should have been expected, she was to smart for her own good. Shame, as the saying goes, you win some and you lose some. In this case, S/o had won, rather than loss winning by seeing another murder take place as they predicted. Shaking their head, they turned and left the scene. A small smirk rising onto their face, as they rose a hand to cover it. Hiding it was the most crucial part, not that they were the murderer. They needed to keep their facade.

- At least, until they were cornered by a certain wizard. “S/O, you’ve been acting strange, ever since the first as if, you’re hiding something from the others.” There was a small smirk on the side of Mikado’s mask as he watched for their response. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Mikado. I’ve just been my normal self!”

-Mikado certainly didn’t believe that lie as he crossed his arms. His mask had a small pout, before it changed into a mischief smirk. “I find that hard that the innocent S/o would be hiding their true intentions away behind a mask. I wonder..how they would feel if they found out their light hearted S/o was really a blood thirsty monster.” Mikado let out a small laugh, while S/o let out a small growl in response. “I wonder how they would feel if they found out they’re inside a simulation.”

-This caused Mikado to stop his laugh, with a demented look, and a flame suddenly appearing in his hand. “What’s stopping me from killing you..” S/o didn’t back down, they weren’t afraid. “The fact that if you did, and the others found out and you’re excuted, then your plan will fail.”

- S/o saw Mikado’s hesitance and took at as a chance to escape, which they did. Singing the words, “Just wait you can't hide from me. I'm coming.“ A sicking giggle followed as they disappeared down the hallway.

- Knock knock

- Emma Magorobi, who would have though she would have killed her dear friend. As she claimed, what a shame indeed it was for her to do such a horrendous crime, it costed her life. If only she was more sneaky, shaking their head. S/O waved once again as the culprit was taken away, the glint returning once again. But it didn’t go unnoticed this time, there were a few concerned looks thrown their way. “I’m only wishing her a safe travel to a better place, perhaps she may see Kokoro again.” You chimed, with a small shrug of the shoulders.

- Some believed, while others remained skeptical of the situation. But it’s not like you had any harmful intentions, you were one of the kindest people they knew, so why would they assume such a thing about you?

- How naive they were..it’s a shame, really.

-Knock knock

- Setsuka, Ultimate Billiards player was the third victim. When the body discovery was announced, various foot steps soon bursted into the room seeing what happened to the female. Including, the ‘innocent’ S/o, but little did they know, their true colors began to show. A small giggle slipped out, before it turned out into full blown laughing. “Setsuka sure got to the point! She always was a cut above the rest!” The laughter continued until Yoruko called out. “S-S/o! It isn’t funny!” That caused S/o to stop for a moment and look at the female with a blank expression. “You’re right..it’s hilarious!” S/o covered their mouth and soon left the room, leaving the others within it.

-The feels occasional giggles escaped, as you watched the trial go on. Giving a small amount of help occasionally, but other then that just giggled along. When the trial was over was when you started to watch idly with a bright twinkle in your eyes. It provided much enjoyment for the hours that were spent. True intentions being exposed aloud, surprised faces, as well remarkable ones similar to their own. Alas, it came to an end, Hibiki and Kanade. Ultimate Vocalist and Guitarist, were soon excuted. Personally, S/o didn’t enjoy their execution but that was just them. “Well! Now that’s out of the way! I’m ready for the next murder!”

-“S/o! How can you say that! Those are our friends!” Teruya aruged to which S/o sighed. “Allow me to put this in a way you all will be able to understand. I was never your friend, you all were simply pawns, with no meaning. Say Teruya dies in the fifth class trial, it would have most likely been to his stupidity.” Waving a hand, S/o left while the others remained speechless from their words.

-Shinji Kasai, the Ultimate firefighter who would have expected for him to be the next one killed. Sighing, they looked away from the scene and stalked off. They might have felt a slight attachment towards him, it was strange. Looking down at their hands for a moment, they let out a grunt before tucking their hands into their pockets to await the trial at hand. Surely their pointless attachment will die off like the rest of them by the time the trial comes around.

-A suicide? They didn’t think that would have been the cause. But that was the conclusion reached at the end of the trial and judging by the verdict, it looks like it was the correct answer after all. What took them all by the surprised was the sudden change in Nikei, the air in the trial room grew very tense as Nikei spoke. S/o could understand why Nikei was angry as since they were at Mikado themselves. Pulling out a gun, they hadn’t expected that but they didn’t flinch.

-It wasn’t pointed at them afterall, the look on Mikado’s face as he told Nikei not to shoot. In what felt like a split minute, their body moved on their own. Running towards Nikei reaching out and smacked the revolver out of his hand just before he could pull the trigger. Panting heavily, S/o glared daggers at Mikado. “Shame, I’m sure you didn’t expect this in you plan..” Looking over their shoulder, they saw the surprised expressions of their other classmates before they started speaking. “You are should know what Mikado’s been hiding for so long! The fact that this isn’t real, we’re inside of a simulation! The deaths don’t matter! Contradicting to what Nikei said, everyone is alive out side of here! Mikado’s only trapped us here because he-” Before they could finish, they felt a chain around their neck.

-“You’ve already ruined my plans far more then you should have. Having you here is both a waist of time, and effort, so why not give you a proper send off..” Mikado replied, before snapping his fingers. “Monocrow, if you please.” Mikado called simply, as he snapped his fingers. The bird flew over to the button and clicked on it. “IT’S PUNISHMENT TIME!” Monocrow called out, as S/o was pulled off to their execution knowing that they couldn’t get out of. But instead of looking fearful, they actually looked excited, believe it or not.

Nightmare. That was the only word that could describe the direction this was going with this specific turn of events. She could never be enough for him could she? It’s like he hadn’t cared about her from the start or this was exactly how she was taking it.

There was a crunching sound as the skin surrounding her eyes cracked, and the colors glitched. There was a rasped laugh, “I’m never going to be enough for you am I? It’s bad enough that you left- but here I am breaking over you when it obviously never mattered-“

Her voice was off, like a strained and distorted speaker, he had only seen this once. That’s when it all came back to him like a truck. The mirror house, the foundation, Yuki. No wonder that memory was so obscured, Yuki didn’t want them together so likely divine luck made it possible for it to be difficult to get back. Though the grip around his heart was this one. His Sora was dead, all that was left of her and rebuilt was right in front of him and he was breaking her, in his hands and with his words.

Kado was right, ignorance could be the very thing that causes something important to him to break. It had been a gentle warning.

He wasn’t given a chance to take it back however as he felt a swift kick taking the mage down on his knee, freeing Sora from his grip.

She had brought her face in her hands, blue tears had stained her skin as the lights in her eyes flickered off. Sora was frozen that way.

Nikei’s voice was laced in ice as he roughly gripped his collar. “What the fuck did I keep saying you dumbass!”

The commotion had drawn out Iroha, Syobai and Kado from the brokers office.

Of course Nikei was pissed, he had been the most adamant about warning him. The most involved, but he wasn’t just angry, the journalist was on the brink of tears.

Something else came back to him then, something Nikei had said once. Do you have any idea the state she was in when I met her again? Or how long it took me to pull her out of it?

Iroha had gone to check on Sora at this point, grasping one of her hands and gently walking her away. She was most definitely off, but he noticed the tears still spilling as she was lead away.

Syobai had started an even stride towards the mage, but Kado very quickly rushed, laptop under his arm between the broker and Mika.

His own voice seeming to break the risen tension that was still layered in the room. “Wait a moment- before you go and break him. Perhaps it’s best he comes with me-“

Kado was visibly nervous but he firmly held his ground, even when Syobai leered in his face. “If you don’t take him out of here within the next minute? I’m shattering his chip.”

Kado adjusted his glasses muttering a quick thank you before prying the journalist off of him and dragging his distressed walking AE along with him out the door.

His pace was quick, he tugged him along until they were far enough away from the house. Kado exhales, offering a small smile. “Well this is a right mess, isn’t it Duckling?”

Kado wanted Mika to calm down, staying this worked up wouldn’t fix this. Though it was evident the others weren’t ready to see him again yet. To diffuse the situation he felt it best to separate him from them.

“Now I’m sure your thoughts are giving you grief but, I’m here. Should that hold any weight. Even if I’m not your first choice of who you want to be with right now.” Kado knew exactly what Mika wanted, he was impulsive after all. He saw a problem and wanted to immediately fix it, unfortunately that wasn’t going to work here.

“She’s in good hands, even if they aren’t your own. You’ll be able to work through this, with some time and effort.” Everything had happened so quickly. It was difficult to process especially with all the distress, the state Sora was in. It was difficult to focus on anything else.

Sora smiles softly at him, she let the ebbing headache go away instead of trying anymore herself.

She looks over to their right, seeing water run off of a large fake mushroom. Sora gently squeezes his hand. “Do you want to go under there with me? I personally don’t care if we’re a little wet before leaving. It was either going to happen now or over in aquatics…”

She just goes around doing her own tasks and vouching for people.

Just a chill crewmate who’s never suspected even though she usually finds the bodies first.

Yuri

Mains green or cyan with an astronaut suit and helmet

Def has a UFO pet.

Is sus of all the males (no surprise)

Will legit call an emergency meeting just to say “hey if any of you ladies are the impostor(s) feel free to kill me anytime~!”

It’s easy to find out he’s the impostor since he keeps killing only the men.

Mikado

Mains purple, yellow, or red with the tophat or plague doctor mask and black suit.

He plays fairly, so no magic is involved.

But he’s still a little shit when he gets impostor role.

Very very good at deflecting the blame on others.

Usually sticks close to his fellow Void members but won’t hesitate to backstab any of them.

Hibiki & Kanade

Both main either purple or red. and wear the same cosmetics.

Are pretty much together at all times, not trusting anyone else that could be the impostors.

But if they’re both impostors? Oh boy...

Someone: “If it’s not Hibiki then vote out Kanade" (or vice versa)

Nikei

Mains black or brown with a white suit and dum sticky note or safari hat (it’s closest to his irl one).

Is the guy who’d spend the whole discussion time trying to type out “suspicious”.

Usually does his tasks solo, but he’ll get annoyed if someone accuses him.

Strangely enough he doesn’t seem too bothered by the kill animations.

Shinji

Mains red or orange.

Has a mini crewmate pet he calls “little bro”.

Always insistent on teamwork.

When he gets impostor role he’s too afraid to kill and will allow himself to be voted off so he doesn’t hurt anyone.

Teruya

Mains green with a bush hat.

He finds the game eerily similar to the killing games, but he tries to calm himself down and have fun with it.

Mikado has killed him a dozen quite a few times and he’s not happy in the slightest.

Hajime

Mains yellow with an egg hat (bc he’s such an advocate for protein).

Usually tags along with Shinji so they have alibis for each other.

Doesn’t see the appeal of video games tbh but he wants to have fun so he tries his best.

Yoruko

Mains blue with a flower hat.

True to her actual profession, she’s swift at getting tasks done.

Though she might get bored if everyone’s still working on theirs.

Emma

Mains white or yellow with a crown.

She’ll remark how similar the game is to certain sci-fi movies she’s seen/acted in.

Was quite pleased to get the “villainous” role of the impostor and made sure she was a stealthy one, actually winning a few rounds.

Iroha

Mains brown or any color tbh, but can always be identified by a flat cap.

Has the mini crewmates. She adores them.

She sticks close to the Void members, afraid of being alone for too long.

Electrical tasks terrify her yet somehow she always ends up with at least 3-4 tasks there.

Yuki

Mains orange with a balloon.

Like Makoto and Nagito his luck is usually crap--either giving him the impostor role first time he played or him being killed shortly after finishing his first task.

He pouts but tries his best anyway to have fun.

Kokoro

Mains white or brown with an antenna.

Has a robot pet.

Like Nikei she’s usually off doing her own tasks, checking security the most out of everyone.

Can deduce who the impostors are v quick.

Setsuka

Mains cyan or pink with an antenna or eyeball lamp.

Video games aren’t her strong suit, but she tries to enjoy this one nonetheless as it’s not as high-strung as billards.

Her eye’s recording function allows her to remember exactly where she was and who she saw so she can give good alibis.

Shobai

Mains red, black, or white with the knife hat or plunger.

Doesn’t care much for getting tasks done right away.

And he won’t mind becoming a ghost bc “hey I can just go through walls no problem”.

ASOOT Timeline: September 2012 (School, Missions, and Goddammit Yasuke)

What’s that? Submissions work again? And just in time for September as well! Here are some fun fall shenanigans to kick off the new month! Definitely no disturbing moments here, no siree.–Timeline Anon.

September 2: It’s Teruteru’s birthday. He turns 17.

September 3:

It’s the first day of a new semester at Hope’s Peak. Mahiru tells her classmates about how Kasugano saved her and the others, Hiyoko apologizes to everyone for her past treatment of them, and Nagito shows up with his hair and skin restored to their original healthy colors. His relationship with Kanata is going very well, as is his recovery. Everyone’s proud of him.

Hibiki wants to post on Twitter to let her fans know that she’s okay. After getting the go-ahead from the rest of the Cuddle Puddle, she does so.

Hiyoko receives her code name. She is Hierophant.

The infamous serial killer Genocider Syo has claimed another victim, and Hajime decides that dealing with her will be the Quantum Crew’s next mission. As Sonia explains to the group, Genocider Syo kills handsome young men by stabbing them to death with custom-made scissors, and every one of her 87 kills was found suspended to the wall with said scissors, alongside the words “Bloodbath Fever” written in blood. Hajime reveals that Genocider Syo is an alter of teenage author Toko Fukawa, who has DID. This raises the question of whether or not to put Syo in jail when she’s caught; Toko herself is a good person despite her gloominess, and both she and Syo did help the Future Foundation during the Tragedy timeline, but Syo is still a serial killer who needs to pay for what she’s done. Kyoji offers to take Toko to a mental health facility in Hokkaido where she can get the treatment she needs. The group feels that it’s best to ask Toko herself what she wants first.

Kyoji has figured out Monaca’s new plan based on a conversation he had with her around July 25, during which she asked him if he could use his knowledge of genetics to age her up into an adult. Now, Towa Group has bought out all sorts of supplements from a medical supplier he usually goes to (Sora determines that said supplies were bought last night), leading Kyoji to suspect that Monaca intends to age herself up. If she succeeds, she’ll be a 10-year-old in an adult’s body, but if something goes wrong, she could be hurt or even killed. Naturally, the Quantum Crew must find her and stop her.

The Quantum Crew creates two teams. The first team (Hajime, Nikei, Maku, Taira, Sonia, Gundham, and Hiyoko) will look for Syo, while the second team (Chiaki, Emma, Sora, Mikan, Iroha, Kyoji, and Hibiki) will look for Monaca.

Iroha pays a visit to Umeko and Setsuka at their house. Umeko is almost done with her long-range detector, but she forgot her welding gun at her Hope’s Peak lab, so she runs off to get it. Setsuka, Iroha, and Mikan (who is here to play with Kotoko) ask Nagisa about Monaca’s location. At first, he won’t answer because he’s been sworn to secrecy, but when the others say that Monaca is putting herself in danger, he tells them that Monaca went to Towa Land, a small Towa-Group-owned amusement park in Niigata. 

Hibiki looks at her post and finds hundreds of supportive comments, which makes her so happy that she starts crying.

Bad End #2: The Surprise Attack.

After spending a little time with Hibiki, Hajime gets a text from Umeko asking for help with moving a heavy part out of Hope’s Peak. He bids Hibiki goodbye and heads off to help her.

When he gets to Hope’s Peak, Hajime enters the Physics Building, where he finds Umeko’s dead body hanging from the ceiling by ropes. Her throat has been cut. Hajime himself is then murdered by Yasuke. 

Hajime resets for the second time.

Hajime tells Hibiki that he just died again, then calls Umeko to warn her about the surprise attack from Yasuke. He manages to get through to her as she approaches Hope’s Peak, and she decides to go borrow a screwdriver from one of her neighbors instead. With Umeko’s safety secured, Hajime is free to have a minor breakdown, and Hibiki comforts him. His tattoo now has seven dots. Hibiki contacts the rest of the Quantum Crew and tells them what happened, and they all agree not to go near Yasuke.

That night, as Hajime and Hibiki cuddle in bed together, Hibiki cries that she’s scared of losing him, and it’s Hajime’s turn to comfort her. The two of them almost have sex, but they stop themselves upon realizing that now really isn’t the right time for first times.
