i cant quite explain it and this is such a trivial headcanon but the way they use ja in soc seems like ja is an older kerch word that's lost its meaning (because otherwise it wouldn't be italicized and othered, because majority of the characters are speaking the kerch that we read as english) and while jesper doesn't do that, he mimics the habit by adding 'yeah?' to the end of sentences

#hi you guys get to be subject to whats caught my brain for the night GBHWTBHDFH #and two of these come from ppl who seem to perceive themselves as above the other (so it can come across as almost mocking)#and then the other two times (anya and kaz) seems to be using it to insult them / throw it back at them #i will hyperanalyze this. idk i just think its interesting #in case its important. the order of ppl saying it is hoede/anya/geels/kaz
