[ID: A two-panel "Pills that make you green" comic, showing two crudely drawn stick figures for people.
First panel: Two stick figures, one drawn in black, on the left, one green, on the right. The black one says: "You think I'm "unreasonably obsessed" with green people?" The green one replies: "Well yeah, our lives sort of barely affect yours at all." black: "Barely affect? This is by far the most important issue in politics right now!"
Second panel: Zoom in on green stick figure, which says: "…There is a literal portal to hell in Strasbourg and an Armageddon Beast rampaging through the infinite torment crucible." End ID.]

Inspired heavily but this video
Thinking about the difference in accent and sound between France's French and Canadian French.
Francis: hello my dear child how are you, I know I've been away a while but I'm here to visit
Matt: -speaks french Canadian-
Francis: what the fuck did you do to my beautiful language???
Obviously Arthur is basically fluent in French. That's his girlfriend/ex-wife/husband/ex-boyfriend. Also he's been invaded by France so many times. (Fun fact about a third of English words are actually stolen from French). So I love the idea that Francis finds it easier to talk to Arthur in French, then he does to speak to Matt in French.
Despite both knowing french, Matt and Arthur NEVER talk to each other in it, because Arthur just isn't actually fluent enough to translate Matt's accent & variations in his head
Francis & Matt: -having an argument in French in the living room-
Arthur: wait Matt can just you switch to english for a second, I need to check who's side I'm on
Two other videos about accents/language that I love and will ramble about in the tags

okay so THIS implies that france exists, or at least existed at some point. since it can't be french, if france does not exist. most likely, at least.
however, the eiffel tower is notably not in paris, and seems to not be in france. it appears in a grassy plains, which puffball speaker box says is "east of the canal."
there are three reasons for this which i can think of:
france used to exist, but no longer does. the eiffel tower is just a remnant of distant times when france did exist
the eiffel tower was relocated to a grassy plains east of the canal, but used to be in france
the eiffel tower makes things french

can we form a coup against asagiri and make you the writer instead? genuinely... I am not taking the Fyodor immortal information well.. please help............................ ( ´,_ゝ` )
Oh, I would absolutely not do BSD well either. I just wish Asagiri had stuck to his roots more. He was a great comedy writer, and the beginning of the story was great for it. It's the action and Death Note stuff he can't seem to get mastery of. But for the immortal part: I'm not entirely sold that Fyodor's immortal, yet. It seems like yet another twists that will twist to reveal oh, shocker, he faked his memories to confuse Sigma/the ADA... or something. Could very well be immortal, but not 100% guaranteed.

on the topic of stanne's being incapable of viewing feminism through any other lens than 'not like the other girls'... would anne even be regarded as so exceptional if she wasn't as privileged as she was? would the idea of her innate exceptionalism, her standing out at court as more fashionable/passionate/moral/intellectual/exotic still persist? i just have to wonder how many women could have been remembered by history as exceptional, if only given the ability to — if they had the resources from birth that anne had etc.

tbh whenever i see character designs like wrio where they’re associated with some form of carnivorous animal i instantly hc them as top tier belchers based on that alone, especially the wolf boys 😂 but i like that your ideas for him actually have substance
Well I'm glad that things at least sound like they have substance, as that's my real goal. I will say that these ratings are some ideas and I'm not saying that he's not CAPABLE of monster belches ever. I definitely believe that Wriothesley is. And this was for burps only, I do think he definitely can eat a ton as well.
Personally, I think characters can be complex, though not always absolute, with a lot open to interpretation especially in things like this. There is his character design but also what we know of him with his personality and setting. In this case, some of his personality and behavior conflicts with his "carnivorous" design. I do think he's capable but it also depends on who he is with and situation.
There is one more wrinkle to think about here too. Wrio is a plotter. Half the time, he's trying to disarm people to make them relax or intimidate them. He'll do what he needs to get information out of people.
So he can have manners when he needs to, especially when that gets him farther in society, especially when it disarms people in the Fortress who revere him and think he's unapproachable. Or those in the outside that think he's just a ruffian but he's "respectable."
But when he needs to, he can be one of the guys, crude, lewd, whatever else especially if it's a smaller gathering. He can hang out with other fighters during Pankration Ring matches or checking on him them. If that includes burping or eating then he'll do it.
If he knows that someone HATES or LOVES lack of manners and overeating but needs information from them? Well then they come to his office and he proceeds to eat everything and burp and slurp and pat his gut just to get a reaction.
But this is why sometimes thinking of a particular scenario or situation comes with a clearer answer because it's easier to predict behavior or if there's a reason they might act a bit out of character.
