I really liked this quote and looked up the original to post that but that literally says:#'They were grotesque like useless young men in a depression.'#like what these things aren't even in the same ballpark#imo a more apt translation of to hungarian to english would be:#They were a tragicomical sight; like youth doomed for passivity in time of crisis.#I guess it has more to do with the archaic language in english and that depressio and young men really didn't mean the same for Heller#as it does for me#but I just like the sentiment of the hungarian much better
