I’ve lost count of how many people say they won’t read the magazine or they don’t like the magazine because tofu is evil incarnate for one reason or another. Truth be told, especially since I stopped including recipes, the magazine itself has basically nothing to do with tofu and it’s not even really named after the stuff. It’s an acronym, and what it stands for is more important to me than arguing with someone about their illegitimate fears of soy. Life turns us upside down and backwards. It is not fair. It can be down right cruel. It is equally random in its disruptive patterns and its effect on us all. Much like class today. and being swept or just simply hanging on for dear life but hanging on none the less. Today as I got off the subway I ran into Professor @Edgarchutan we had a great talk on our way to class much needed. Then I stepped on the mat the warm up kicked my ass. followed by the technique of the day the positions amd sweeps kicked my ass. Lastly, the rolls and my fat ass kicked my ass. But something special happened ala old school #HELIOGRACIE I got my ass handed to me but I didn't get submitted. I was uncomfortable and that sucked but it wasn't that bad. I weathered the storm and I survived. I'm certainly a gentleman of a certain age but as @renzograciebjj says it gets easier because its all downhill from here. So all and all what you see is what you have scene on my face ever since I stepped on the mats of @renzograciebayridge a smile on my face. Once again I will say as a man fighting or the art of training to survive the storm for life as I recently discussed with Professor @gene_dunn_ allows me to feel like I have payed the currency for the honor of still being top side and breathing on this earth. I maybe old and slow but #imnotdeadyet. So I will keep on smiling and keep going into the frey until the wheels fall off. [READ ME] Ok here is some rather outdated concept-y art I did in my sketchbook around half a year ago. I wanted to post the finished illustration with Franz's new design (basically him with a slightly different haircut BUT I've had some ideas recently regarding clothing so I'll post some concepts too in the future) but my teachers are rather heartless and hw has become more demanding and time consuming than school itself. I'll remain occupied for the rest of the week and use the weekend to allow my wrist to rest and hopefully recover a bit.
