There’s a bit of an elephant in the room here. Seamus is Doc’s son. At one point, there’s a sign that depicts a robot holding the hand of a noticeably smaller robot. When first entering Midtown, there’s a regular-sized robot and a smaller robot. When talking to the bigger one, Elc, they say that they’re watching the smaller one, Yosh. This could mean that they’re either the parent, older sibling, or possibly the of Yosh. Regardless, the implication is clear. These robots can have babies, but how?

Well, I think there’s only one possible conclusion that can be drawn… It’s exactly like Robots (2005), where they literally make babies, ones that are given new parts as they get older. It can be inferred that, at “birth,” the parents are whoever actively participates in the baby’s creation. There could just be one parent, two, or maybe even more than two. What I’m also getting at here is that you cannot tell me that Doc didn’t go dancing through the streets yelling about how he’s gonna be a dad, just like in the opening scene of Robots.
