@katstevns: I’ve wanted to get this tattoo for a long time. I lost @imgavi and my grandmother in the same year, and coincidentally butterflies have been a symbol of my relationship with both of them for different reasons. I feel them with me always and know we’ll be together again in some other lifetime. I wanted this tattoo to look realistic, and like they were flying with me. And when @drag_ink offers to stay after hours to create a beautiful piece like this, you jump at the opportunity. Thank you Dragon 🦋 it’s more beautiful than I could’ve ever imagined

Today’s #fallitforward shoutout goes to two men. @stephen.j.stirling was an incredible author, and father to one of my favorite people in the world @lindseystirling . I had the opportunity to meet him all too briefly last December, about a month before he passed. Nothing can describe his strength not his family as they united against cancer. Mr. Stirling had a very contagious smile. And he smiled until the end. He smiled through the pain of a broken hip at the people who came to see him. He smiled through the pain as his daughter @brookepass told him about her expected baby girls. Tonight @markballas danced a waltz dedicated to Mr. Stirling. Good sir, you are a fine example of what being a man is. Thank you for helping Lindsey make this tribute to her dad. Lindsey, I’ve seen you go from heartache to heartache dealing with both @imgavi and your dad passing while your career has exploded with successes. Your ability to show such strength when feeling so weak continually inspires me. You’re entire family is amazing. Thank you.

Just gonna take a moment to appreciate that they guys are still playing shows after Gavi passed away; truly grateful and in admiration and I hope they know to take time to grieve if they need it.

He did, but he had some problems with his heart after the chemo...

Great news from Gavi!

Hey guys, I’m sure many of you will already be aware, our favourite keyboardist/keytarist/awesome human Gavi has been recently diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma (a type of cancer) It’s a very quick-progressing type, so he isn’t going to be able to tour for a while, as he receives treatment. But of course, no touring equals no income...which means hospital funds could be difficult. So us Stirlingites are helping out by donating whatever we can so that he might afford the treatment.
