#97#💖#ik nobody cares but i care so#i have not the energy or eloquence or knowledge to explain why this matters.#but if you cant be bothered to look it up:#imazighen are the colonized indigenous population of north africa and our languages and practices and culture have been repressed violently#for decades upon decades to the point that SO SO SO SO SO MUCH is lost just fully lost because it was not written down and was beaten out#of generations of people. the moroccan government has historically been and still is hostile to imazighen and amazigh activists.#i WAS THERE when our writing system was legalized. i was watching the tv with my mom when it was announced.#i know no one cares or knows. but it does matter yknow?
