I think I made a bustier!? I say "think" because it just kind of happened. Patterned from scratch, of course. This is one of the foundation garments for my Elphelt cosplay! Everything is going to attach to this, so I wanted to make sure it would have the structure and strength to deal with that responsibility. If you'll notice, the zipper is much longer than is needed, that's because the other side will be attached to the white dress. I'm so close to being able to get bustin on that crazy gown, just let me at it already!! #bustier #seamstress #cosplaysewing #cosplaygirl #sewist #handmadecosplay #imakecosplay #cosplaywip #garmentsewing https://www.instagram.com/p/B8KSeHLDlal/?igshid=1unu2fxmlgbif

"I am a wolf and I will not be afraid." What've you been working on or doing to stay busy? I've been spending the day crafting so far, lots of armor texturing for Venusaur! I cant say I haven't been letting myself get distracted by WoW, though, hahaha! 📸 by @tunatoe of @SynergyCraft #aryastark #aryacosplay #midwestcosplayer #cosplaygirl #gameofthrones #synergycraft #gamofthronescosplay #gotcosplay #aryastarkcosplay #cosplay #cosplayphotography #winterfell #womenofcosplay #imakecosplay (at Plattsmouth, Nebraska) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-NFTmxDIab/?igshid=ggd1qv3diqqf

Bit of WIP on Raven's spike going through his head! I made 2 of these. My process so far: I created the pattern by first constructing a long, tall pyramid out of cardboard & hot glue. Working with hot glue on a silicon mat is SO NICE. I then covered the form in masking tape, drew my details, and sliced it off - transferring the shapes to paper. I cut out my pieces from HD foam, beveled the edges with my dremel, and contact cemented all sides together. I then dremeled the outer seams smooth and made the base more circular with heat. I'll still need to kwik seal my seams just to be safe, but I love how smooth I was able to get it all so far! Then I did my worbla work over foam for the setting, and paper for the clover detail. The next step here is to prepare the bases where the spike attaches to the front and back of the head. Good thing I have lots of neodymium magnets on the way! I will also heat-engrave some detailing on the spike and fill in those foam seams.
