I think I made a bustier!? I say "think" because it just kind of happened. Patterned from scratch, of course. This is one of the foundation garments for my Elphelt cosplay!⁣ ⁣ Everything is going to attach to this, so I wanted to make sure it would have the structure and strength to deal with that responsibility. Bit of WIP on Raven's spike going through his head! I made 2 of these.⁣ ⁣ My process so far:⁣ I created the pattern by first constructing a long, tall pyramid out of cardboard & hot glue. Working with hot glue on a silicon mat is SO NICE.⁣ ⁣ I then covered the form in masking tape, drew my details, and sliced it off - transferring the shapes to paper.⁣ ⁣ I cut out my pieces from HD foam, beveled the edges with my dremel, and contact cemented all sides together.⁣ ⁣ I then dremeled the outer seams smooth and made the base more circular with heat. I'll still need to kwik seal my seams just to be safe, but I love how smooth I was able to get it all so far!⁣ ⁣ Then I did my worbla work over foam for the setting, and paper for the clover detail.⁣ ⁣ The next step here is to prepare the bases where the spike attaches to the front and back of the head. Good thing I have lots of neodymium magnets on the way!
