“This is going to far.” Sweet Pea shakes his head trying to control his anger.
“Agreed.” Fangs stated crossing his arms.
“They hurt Y/n. I don’t know about you but I want revenge.” Toni all but growled in defense of her friend.
“I’m right here Toni.” Y/n smiled gratefully at her best friend before turning her attention back to everyone. “And I want revenge to.” Y/n stated from her seated position, still hurting all over from the beating.
“We’ll get it princess. We will. We all will.” FP promised his daughter as he walked over to her, he leaned down and kissed the top of her head.
Seconds later the door to the Wyrm burst open and in walked the beanie wearing teen that everyone had been trying to get ahold of.
“What happened?” Jughead said once she was fully in the bar. As he looked around he noticed pretty much everyone was there.
“Where have you been?” FP turned to his son, fuming in rage.
“I was with Betty, we had to look into something. I came as soon as I could.” Jughead shrugged his shoulders, not getting the urgency.
“We called and texted you hundreds of times.” Toni spoke up glaring at Jughead. How could he just ignore everyone trying to get a hold of him.
“Not to mention hours ago.” Fangs joined Toni in glaring at the beanie wearing boy.
“Sorry. I was busy.” Jughead furrowed his eyebrows in confusion on why everyone seemed so passed at him.
“To busy to come to the aid of your bleeding sister?!” Sweet Pea yells enraged, he took a step forward. How could he not care about his own sister then again Sweet Pea felt he shouldn’t be surprised. Jughead always seemed to only care about his Northsider friends, more than he cared about anyone else.
“We had to take her to the hospital.” Fangs added, he to stepped forward off the wall. Fangs stared at Jughead, pissed off. “You didn’t even get here till she was already discharged.”
“Do you even care?” Toni narrowed her eyes as she put the question out there.
“Of course I care.” Jughead scoffed looking over to his sister seeing her all bruised and bandaged, cut’s littered her face and neck. He could only imagine what was under her clothes. “What happened anyway? Who hurt you?”
Jughead’s lack of concern on his face and in his tone were shocking to everyone.
“Reggie and the rest of the bulldog’s. That’s who.” Y/n spat at her brother. How could he be so nonchalant about this?!
“Are you okay?” he asked although there wasn't any concern in his voice. That’s obvious.
Do I look okay?!” Y/n yelled not believing her brother just could stand there in front of her looking at her all injured and not seem to care at all. “I’m hurt, bruised, bleeding and broken. I’m in pain and one of the people I wanted here for me was my brother and he couldn’t even bother!”
“Why’d they attack you?” Jughead asks, pointing at his sister.
“Why?” Sweet Pea copied Jughead’s words while clenching his fists.
“Yes, why? I’m sure it was a misunderstanding.” Jughead himself narrowed his eyes at the taller serpent.
“They targeted me, Jughead.” Y/n spoke up, getting more upset with her brother by the minute.
“Did they think you were someone else?” Jughead was trying to find a solution as to why the Bulldogs would do this.
It shocked and amazed all the serpents and not in a good way that Jughead instead of seeing his sister and caring or wanting revenge he would try to defend the one’s recognizable for almost killing his own sister.
“Stop trying to make excuses for them!” Sweet Pea yelled, slamming his hand down on the nearest table. Which happened to be the table Toni and Y/n were sitting at.
Y/n reached for Sweet Pea’s hand, hoping to calm him down. To reassure him she was there. Before Y/n turned her gaze back to her brother.
“They followed me, they conquered me and they attacked me. They knew it was me, I was the intended target for their attack… And you don’t even care.” Y/n had tears welling up in her eye’s at recalling what had happened to her and that it seemed her brother could care less about her.
“What happened to my son that loved and protected his sister? Cause that’s not what I’m seeing.” FP shook his head, eyes filled with disappointment.
“Dad-” Jughead start’s with wide eyes at his father’s words.
“They hurt her and you're defending them, trying to find an out.” FP stated raising his voice, anger and pain obvious in his words as he spoke. “Get out Jughead.”
Jughead loaded at his dad like he was crazy. He wants him to leave! “What?”
“Get out of my home. Get out of my serpent den. Till you can care about your family again, get out.” FP had made his decision. He didn’t recognize his son right now.
Jughead looked around seeing how no one is opposing his fathers statements of kicking him out.
“Not that you care but they did this to send a message.” Toni tells Jughead before he turned to leave.
“They left a letter with me when they left me to wither in pain and almost die. It was a threat, and doing this to me was only the beginning.” Y/n told her brother with anger and sadness in her eye’s. Letting out an unamused laugh shaking her head. “Hope you enjoy your Northside friends Jughead. Since you apparently care more about them than your family.”
A tear ran down her check as she looked at her brother like a stranger.

Drag You Down
Jughead Jones x Reader
After a fight, Jughead is MIA. You find out he’s been hanging at the White Wyrm and you go to confront him. A heated argument leads to unexpected confessions.
The Whyte Wyrm was the last place you ever expected to find yourself. The dive bar, filled with smoke, thumping music, and the Serpents who called it home, felt like the antithesis of everything you were. But tonight, you had no choice. Jughead was MIA, and after the fight you’d had, you needed to find him—needed to make things right, even if it meant braving the lion’s den.
You pulled your jacket tighter around you as you pushed through the door, feeling the weight of every set of eyes that landed on you. You stuck out like a sore thumb in your soft sweater and sneakers, the good girl walking into the Serpents’ den. But you didn’t care about any of that. All you cared about was finding Jughead. He hadn’t answered your calls, hadn’t responded to your texts, and the empty feeling in your chest only grew when Toni told you he’d been hanging out at the Whyte Wyrm for days, avoiding everyone—including you.
You scanned the room, your eyes darting through the crowd, but there was no sign of Jughead’s familiar beanie or brooding presence. Instead, a tall, muscular Serpent caught sight of you, a predatory smirk spreading across his face as he swaggered over, blocking your view.
“Hey there, sweetheart,” he drawled, his eyes roving over you with an unnerving hunger. “You look a little lost. What’s a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this?”
You took a step back, trying to stay calm, though your heart was racing. “I’m not here for trouble. I’m just looking for someone.”
He leaned in closer, the scent of alcohol clinging to his breath as he sneered. “Well, you found me. How about I keep you company instead?”
You tried to sidestep him, but he moved with you, his presence imposing and uncomfortably close. “I’m looking for Jughead,” you said firmly, hoping the name would deter him. “Do you know where he is?”
The Serpent chuckled, a dark, mocking sound that made your skin crawl. “Oh, Jones? He’s not worth your time, princess. But I might be.”
He reached out, his fingers brushing your arm in a way that made you flinch, and panic flared in your chest. You opened your mouth to tell him to back off, but suddenly, Jughead’s voice cut through the noise, sharp and laced with fury.
“Get your hands off her.”
You turned to see Jughead standing there, his jaw clenched and eyes burning with a protective anger that sent the Serpent scrambling back a step. Jughead’s leather jacket hung off his shoulders, the Serpent emblem glaring in the low light, and his fists were clenched, ready for a fight.
The Serpent sneered but backed off, holding up his hands. “Relax, Jones. Didn’t know she was yours.”
“She’s not,” Jughead snapped, but his eyes flicked to you, and the tension in his eyes made you feel as though he hated saying those words. The Serpent slunk away, muttering under his breath, and Jughead turned his attention back to you, his gaze still simmering with anger.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Jughead demanded, his voice harsher than you’d ever heard it. “This isn’t your place.”
You swallowed, meeting his stare head-on. “I could ask you the same thing. You disappeared, Jug! You haven’t answered my calls or texts, and after our fight, I didn’t know if—”
“If what?” Jughead cut in, his tone sharp, though there was a crack in his voice. “If I was okay? Why do you always do this, huh? Running into danger like it’s nothing, just to find me?”
His words stung, but you couldn’t hold back. “Because I care about you! I was worried, Jug. You just left, and I didn’t know if you were hurt or—”
“That’s exactly the problem!” he snapped, his voice rising. “You care too much, and you always put yourself in the middle of my messes. I’m in the Serpents now—I’m dealing with stuff you shouldn’t be part of, and I can’t keep watching you throw yourself into danger for me.”
“What about you? That’s real hypocritical coming from you.” You scoffed, motioning to your environment.
“I’m the serpent, not you. I don’t have a choice in this life! My father is FP Jones. The Serpents are in my blood. Don’t choose this because of me. I won’t let you put yourself in danger!” He grabbed a hold of your wrist, as if doing so would force reason into you.
You took a step closer, your frustration boiling over. “So what? You just shut me out? Push me away because you’re too scared of what might happen?”
Jughead’s face twisted with pain, his eyes searching yours as if trying to find the right words. “I’m scared because I don’t want you to be part of this. The Serpents, the fights—it’s not your world. I don’t want you dragged down into it because of me.”
You felt your heart ache at his admission, the walls Jughead always kept up cracking right in front of you. “I don’t care about any of that,” you said, your voice softer now, pleading. “I care about you, Jug. I’m here because I don’t want to lose you.”
Jughead looked at you, his expression a mix of anger, regret, and something deeper—something raw and vulnerable that he rarely let anyone see. “No. Don’t. Don’t say that. Don’t make this harder than it already is. I’m doing this for you. You may not see it now, but you’re meant for more than this. Don’t let me drag you down.” Tears welled in his beautiful blue eyes. Your heart cracked at the sight. You sighed, cupping his cheek in your palm.
“Juggy, you are not a heavy weight to bare. You can’t get rid of me that easily. You will not drag me down.” You caressed his cheek with your thumb and he leaned into your touch, shutting his eyes. “I want to be here. I want to be apart of your life, no matter what that involves.”
“I thought pushing you away would keep you safe,” he confessed, his voice breaking slightly. “But it’s killing me. It’s only been a few days and it’s eating me alive. I can’t keep pretending like you don’t mean everything to me.”
Your breath caught, and you felt the sting of tears in your eyes. Jughead’s confession hung in the air, heavy and real, and you stepped closer. “Then don’t push me away,” you whispered. “I’m not afraid of your world, Jug. I’m afraid of losing you.”
Jughead’s resolve shattered, and he pulled you into him, his lips crashing into yours in a kiss that was both desperate and full of longing. The kiss was an admission, all the words he couldn’t say poured into the way his hands cupped your face, his lips moving against yours with an intensity that made everything else fade away.
You kissed him back just as fiercely, your fingers tangling in his hair, pulling him closer as if you could erase every fight, every fear, with the touch of your lips. Jughead’s hands slid around your waist, holding you tight, anchoring you in the moment.
When you finally broke apart, your foreheads pressed together, Jughead’s thumb brushed your cheek, wiping away a stray tear. His eyes were soft, filled with the vulnerability he’d been hiding for so long. “I’m sorry,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. “I’m sorry I tried to push you away. I just… I love you too much to see you hurt because of me.”
You smiled through the tears, resting your hand over his heart, feeling the steady beat beneath your palm. “You’re not dragging me down, Jug. We’ll face this together. Whatever comes, I’m not going anywhere.”
Jughead pulled you into his arms, holding you as if letting go would break him. In the noisy, chaotic heart of the Serpents’ lair, surrounded by the life Jughead had tried to keep you from, you knew that no matter what dangers lay ahead, you’d face them together.

i genuinely love that riverdale casually made its 4 main characters poly and it was still somehow the most normal part of the show. like in any other mainstream series this would be big news but here people barely even noticed because everything else was so completely batshit insane

Confession | Sweet Pea
Tumblr media
[gif is not mine; credit goes to the creator]
Word Count: 1.2K
Pairing: Sweet Pea x Fem!Reader, 2nd person pov
Warnings: mentions of fighting
Description: The night before the drug raid with Jughead and the other Serpents, Sweet Pea confronts his feelings for his best friend.
Trope: friends to lovers
A/N: The moment I saw this scene in 3x17, I knew I had to write a prequel to it.
- - -
You could tell something was off with Sweet Pea the moment he walked in the door. Normally so calm and composed, your best friend was fidgety and off.
“Alright, something’s wrong,” you said, unable to finally take it anymore. “What is it?”
“Nothing,” Sweet Pea maintained, not keeping eye contact. “Just forget about it.”
“Does this have anything to do with the Serpents now working under Sheriff Jones?”
“No.”
“Does it have something to do with the Serpents?”
“N-No.”
If you didn’t know Sweet Pea like you did, you wouldn’t have been able to detect the barest hint of a stutter of uncertainty in his voice. “No more games, Sweet Pea,” you growled, upset at his caginess. “Either you tell me or I’m kicking you out.”
Sweet Pea let out a defeated sigh, shaking his head. “It’s…a raid.”
“A raid? But I thought Tent City was raided a while ago.”
“No, it’s not that. Jughead has organized a raid to rid Riverdale of Fizzle Rocks and whatever else the Gargoyles are selling. That’s all I can tell you.”
“Are these orders from the Sheriff?”
“No. And you can’t say anything to him or anyone else.” Sweet Pea ran a hand through his hair. “I shouldn’t have even told you.”
You reached out, placing a hand on his arm. “I’m glad you did. This seems to be weighing on you and I want to be able to help. What about this raid has you spooked?”
“We’re outnumbered. Sure, we’ll have Archie and some of the guys from El Royale, but we don’t really know exactly how many Gargoyles are out there. Or if they’re armed.” His eyes met yours and you could see the fear in them. “Hell, we don’t even know if we’re all going to make it out alive.”
“You will,” you reassured him, with more certainty than you felt. “You and the Serpents have done way more dangerous shit than this and made it out alive. This won’t be any different.” Without thinking, you launched yourself into his arms, hugging him tightly. There wasn’t much else you could do to comfort him, but it was the best you could do in the moment.
Sweet Pea was still clinging to you when you started to pull away, an intense look in his eyes that you didn’t recognize. The way he said your name tugged at your heartstrings and you looked up at him, transfixed. “Just in case I don’t make it back, I want you to know something.”
“Don’t talk like that, Sweet Pea. You can tell me after you get back.”
“No.” Sweet Pea shook his head. “It has to be tonight.”
“Then what is it?” You were utterly confused, but your racing heart told you that you knew deep down what he was going to say.
“I love you.”
“I love you, too, Sweet Pea.”
“No, I love you,” he said, desperation in his voice as he said your name again. “I have for a long time, I’ve just been too chicken-shit to say something.”
“Are you telling me this because you think something bad is going to happen to you tomorrow night?” You took a step back, looking at Sweet Pea in shock. “Tell me something, Sweet Pea: if this raid wasn’t happening tomorrow, would you have ever even told me this?”
His look away told you everything you needed to know. You felt like you’d been sucker-punched in the gut for the second time that night.
Sweet Pea started to say your name again but you cut him off with a glare. “I’m going to need you to do two things for me.”
“Anything - name it.”
“If you really feel this way about me, you’ll come back tomorrow and tell me this so I know it has nothing to do with this raid.”
Sweet Pea nodded. “And the second thing?”
“Leave.” You didn’t want to be so harsh on him, but you needed time to process everything that had just happened.
You could barely look at him as he gathered his things, making a point to leave his flannel behind.
“I’ll be back tomorrow,” he promised, giving you one last longing look as he shut the door behind him.
*~*~*~*
You fidgeted with the sleeves of Sweet Pea’s flannel that he’d left behind, trying to take comfort in his scent and its softness. With every second the clock ticked past eight, you couldn’t help worrying. Maybe something would happen to him tonight and you turning him down last night was your only chance to actually be with him - hell, you hadn’t even kissed him last night.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
You tried to do anything and everything to distract yourself, but you hit a point where your house was spotless and there wasn’t anything more to stress-clean. It was impossible to focus on any tv show or movie, your thoughts always leading back to Sweet Pea.
The knock at your door had you jumping, your heart starting to race as you ran for the door, yanking it open after confirming it was Sweet Pea. “You’re here,” you gasped, hurling yourself into his arms. “You came.”
“Of course I came,” he chuckled, more sure of himself than the last time you’d spoken.
“How did the raid go?” You asked, stepping out of his embrace and sucking in a breath when you saw the state of his face. “Oh my god, Sweet Pea - your eye!”
“Raid went okay, but I was hoping you could fix my eye?”
It was your turn to laugh as you took his hand and led him to the bathroom to fix him up. “Of course.”
The air was thick with a tension neither of you were ready to acknowledge as you got out your first aid kit and began patching him up. Although he tried not to show it, Sweet Pea winced as you cleaned his bruised and bloodied knuckles.
It wasn’t long before he was all cleaned up and sitting on your couch, both of you giggling at the irony of Sweet Pea holding a bag of frozen peas to his face to help with the swelling on his newly-forming black eye.
“Here,” you said, still giggling as you reached over to adjust his ice pack. “How do you feel?”
“Like I got in a fight with some Gargoyles,” he sassed, groaning as he shifted to a more comfortable position on the couch.
“Is there…anything else I can do to help?” You asked, making sure the flirtatious lilt in your voice was evident.
Sweet Pea reached for your hand, entwining his fingers with yours as his thumb ran over the back of your hand. “About last night…” he started, gazing into your eyes so you could see the truth held in them, “I meant every word I said. Yes, it might’ve been brought on by the fact that I was nervous about tonight’s raid, but it didn’t make it any less true. I love you.”
“I love you, too, Sweet Pea,” you whispered, bracing a hand on his shoulder so you could straddle him. You took his face in your hands as you leaned down to kiss him for the first time.
Both of you were smiling when the kiss ended, Sweet Pea’s hands resting on your hips. “So,” he began, sliding his hands up underneath the flannel of his that you were still wearing, “when do I get to take you out?”
“Whenever you’d like,” you smirked, leaning in for another kiss.

Boyfriend
Sweet Pea and Y/N have been seeing each other in secret for some time but as a new serpent enters the playing field, tempers flare but is it all what if seems?
-----------------------------------------------------
SP POV
"So when are you guys gonna stop pretending it's just sex and actually just sign the marriage licence, it's been like 7 months which is basically decades in the Serpents"
The water I gulped down nearly took deathly grip at Tonis comment.
"N-o no no" I managed to choke out between rapid taps to the back from Fangs.
"Toni please don't kill the man, I'm sure YN wouldn't like if you bumped off her play thing" Fangs quipped while watching the colour return back to my face.
"I'm not her play thing, if anything she's mine"
"And who exactly could you be talking about like that" of course she's going to join the conversation at the most inconvenient time. I wish the water had just finished me off.
"Y/N, we were just messing with him"
"Ah yes Toni because I love when my sex life is the topic of conversation amongst my friends, although I suppose you've nothing going on in your own lives" she dropped your tray next to me before sliding in across.
"And how is Cheryl?" you added, Toni sunk down on the seat with a groan.
"And Kevin?" sending Fangs sliding too, leaving me grinning into my soup. I caught her hand beneath the table as the other two tried to take back hold of their pride. We shouldn't have even been talking about this so openly in school, I'm really not trying to put a target on my back.
"If you do marry eachother I'll officiate"
"That's very nice Fangs but don't you need to be able to read to do that?" Fangs caught his chest in feign hurt at Y/Ns joking tone. We shouldn't be talking about this, they know I'd never be allowed to marry her, I can't even openly date her.
As if on que, Y/N dropped my hand quickly to place both in front of her tray, her eyes following the newest recruit to the Serpents. Jughead Jones. Now there's the only person her father would let her marry, another serpent legacy.
"Hey guys"
"Hey Jughead!" She responded very much too excited to him in my opinion.
"Y/N, I'm heading to Pop' wanna come? I know you really want to try it" how could he know what she wants? I'm what she wants. Right?
"Sure, see you later guys" y/n smiled and I could feel my other best friends shuffle awkwardly in their seats as y/n then strutted off with her future husband.
"SP-"
"Don't" I silenced Toni's saddening tone with a raised hand, I don't need their pitty.
~ 3rd Person
Over the next few weeks you spent more and more time around Jughead. Your father approved massively of this budding relationship, not going unnoticed by Sweet Pea or the rest of your friends. You and Jughead would go on jobs together, meet up before and after meetings together and just in general be together. It was becoming more and more difficult for Sweet Pea to be around and he began to retreat into himself.
~
5 weeks later - 3rd Person
Sweet Pea sprawled out across the tattered sofa of his very own trailer. Trying to take his mind of you and Jughead, he flicked through tv channels, then the books in his reach before finally landing on reading his history book absentmindedly. His eyes eventually weighing more than the book and closing. Dreams of you in eggshell coloured dresses waltzing up a flower covered aisle to meet a groom with a blurry face but a very prominent crown beanie splashed across his mind. The image jolted him from his sleep, crashing him to the floor.
Sweet pea rubbed his face with the blanket thrown across him, trying to remove the image from his thoughts. The soft glow from his ajar bedroom door across the darkened living room caught his eye. His hands ran down the blanket that was not there when he drifted off. Your hushed voice eventually met his ears from the bedroom, his senses waking one by one. He misses you breaking into his trailer nightly, the last time having been a few weeks ago.
Sweet Peas Pov
Collecting myself from the floor I snuck over to the door where I could accidentally on purpose hear her speak more clearly on the phone.
"Yeah there's just no future there - yeah - I really like being around him but what's the point when I don't want to continue - yeah yeah - I don't want any more feelings to grow - mmm - I just have to be with him to get where I need to go - yeah you're right- talk later love you Sis - bye - bye - bye" oh god it's happening, the end, she's ending it with me. I don't care if she's using me, just as long as she's with me. Right?
I heard her jump up from mattress. Crap crap crap. I went to scramble back to the sofa, sliding along the laminate in the blanket she had wrapped on me, flying straight back onto the floor. Ugh god my head. As I blinked her shape standing over me came into focus, I gave a small nervous laugh.
"Sweets, are you having fun down there?" She laughed offering a hand and instantly regretting it as I pulled her down on top of me.
"Now I am" I rolled her into the blanket and deep into my chest, squeezing as if letting go would mean she's gone forever. The closest we'd been in awhile.
"Sweet - Pea - You're - Crushing - Me" she attempted through my chest and began go gently push from me. It's already happening. She rolled her head up and gently kissed my cheek and I released my grip.
"Why are you on the floor"
"Why are you in my house?"
"Touché" she smiled before sitting up to retrieve her buzzing phone from her pocket.
"Who's are you giggling at?" I hate myself for asking but seeing her smile at her phone the way she smiles at me gave me reason.
"It's just something Jughead said -" ugh god why why why "- and I don't giggle" she gently hit me into my chest as I rolled from her and then up off the floor. I crossed the room towards the fridge where I rooted around.
"He was telling me about the book he's writing over lunch today, he's really got something for making up elaborate plans, we actually decided to -"
"We?" I almost growled at her as I pulled a beer from the fridge and turned to her disapproving stares. I know she doesn't like when I drink on week days, we were brought up in bar culture and she hates bringing it home with her. I'm not even sure she'd call me home anymore.
"Sweet pea don't get like that over Jughead, you like him I thought" she moved towards me in the kitchen, the blanket drapped over her still. I leaned on the fridge across from her and watched her prop herself up onto the countertop, her phone now next to her.
"Y/N, he rocks up into our school, parades around, Mr. Prince of the Serpents, takes you from me all the time so we can never have any alone time together and then -"
"Ah so that's what this is about, you miss the sex" she seemed to toy but I definitely wasn't in the mood to joke.
"No! Well yeah but that's not all I miss, this is the most we've talked in over a month and it's still about him!"
"Sweet Pea don't get angry at me!" She slid from the blanket and the counter. Too late, I was very much very angry which was only increased when her phone lit up, with the one word I'd never heard her use before, boyfriend.
"What the fuck?!" I lunged for it, almost forgetting my height, giving y/n a bit of a fright, something I had never done. Seems to be a day of firsts for everyone. Boyfriend?! Boyfriend?! She tried to reach for the ringing phone, this time I didn't forget my height, answering the phone and hoping I didn't hear the person I knew was on the other head.
"Hey y/n/n, I'll meet you at the usual spo-" I cut Jones off before he could finish, hurling the phone at the cabinets. This time I gave y/n a very noticeable fright as the phone screen came seperate from the motherboard.
"Sweet Pea!! Calm down! You're acting like a raving lunatic, let me explain!" She shouted back, more firsts from her, she had never raised her voice at me before but I suppose I started it. No she did. Jones did. I'm gonna kill him.
"Explain what?! What's there to explain Y/N/N" I used the name he called her like the curse word it was to me.
"Me and you have been seeing each other for like almost 9 months and that has meant something to me, clearly not so much to you" okay Sweet Pea that was probably a bit harsh. I breathed out deeply, trying to release any amount of pressure from chest. She moved from the kitchen and into the bedroom, returning again and putting on her jacket. Damn.
"You have no idea the kind of pressure I'm under Sweet Pea" she almost bit at me as she zipped herself up.
"Yeah I'm sure there's a lot of pressure straddling Jones" I was shocked I said that, she was shocked I said that. I think I don't even believe what I said but then again, he's her boyfriend. Boyfriend?! She's never called me that, would never call me that. This thought pushed the regret for what I said from me and replaced it back with anger.
"Oh whatever Sweet Pea, talk to me when you recover from the concussion you clearly got from the fall" She flew open the trailer door and stormed out into the cold night. I slid down the fridge, her smashed up phone alongside me. Nice one Pea, you really messed up this time..... except she messed up too, she's dating Jones and didn't tell me. She's dating Jones and didn't tell me. She's dating Jones and didn't tell me. I could feel my neck rise again with anger as I stood and went to the front door. I need to pay the serpent prince a visit.

“No I’m not. I didn’t come here to see him”
“What you come for then?” Cheryl frowns
“I came because I was invited” I reply crossing my arms
“Cher I invited her” Toni says to her girlfriend
“I don’t know why. Isn’t Sweet Pea supposed to be like your best friend”
“Yeah but I like YN”
“Oh you do?”
“Jesus Cheryl what’s gotten into you this evening?” Betty asks
“Nothing”
“I think I’m just gonna go” I say standing up from the booth. As I do I see Sweet Pea walking into the diner “yeah definitely going to go”
“YN!” He says as I walk passed him and out the shop. What the hell do I do? I think as I make my way home. Yes I want to be with Sweet Pea, but we’re just 2 different kind of people.
That night all I can think of is how I’m, well me. Making my decision I phone up Cheryl and head over to her house the following morning
“So you want the boy” she says with her hands on her hips “let’s get started. Toni hand me a brush and my curlers we’ve got a lot of work to do”
“Hey!” I pout making Toni chuckle
“Cheryl takes fashion very seriously. So clothes wise what do you want to wear?”
“I wanna wear a Serpent’s Jacket” this stops them in their tracks. Toni and Cheryl look at each other then at me
“You’ll have to go through initiation”
“Which is?” I ask looking at Toni
“You can either choose the Serpant dance which is basically a strip tease or….”
“I’ll do it”
“No wait YN. You have to do it at the Whyte Wyrm” Toni looks at me worriedly “it will be in front of men 3 times our age”
“Wait” Cheryl says with a twinkle in her eye “does it have to be, or can it just be in front of us, Veronica Betty, Kevin and Fangs?”
“Well I guess there’s no rule against that”
“Then let’s do it!”
“Well if your sure”
“I am” I eagerly nod my head
“Let’s get you ready”.
“Hey Sweet Pea!” Toni shouts as she makes her way towards the boys at the fair. I’m hidden behind Kevin, Betty and Veronica “we’ve got a surprise for you” I then walk to the front where a shocked Sweet Pea looks me up and down
“YN? What… how? You look…”
“I know”
“Toni let you borrow her jacket?”
“Nope it’s mine. I did the dance”
“You… Toni you let her…”
“No not at the Wyrm. She did it in front of us”
“So your a Serpent now?”
“That’s is if you want me”
“Hell yeah I do” Sweet Pea then lifts me up and kisses my lips before putting me back down “will you be mine?”
“Yeah course” this time I’m the one to initiate the kiss
“Finally!” Fangs groans making everyone laugh.

Note
Hi. Could you write about Cheryl Blossom leaving little notes in reader's locker, as she's in love with them. Cheryl writes that they're from a secret admirer but reader knows it's Cheryl as there's a red lipstick kiss on the bottom of each note. Thanks.
Cheryl skips up to Y/N’s locker…
Cheryl: you got a secret admirer?
Y/N: yeah and she’s quite a poet
Y/N holds up the lipstick mark on the page up to Cheryl’s face and smiles…
Cheryl: a poet? How do you know it’s a she?
Y/N: cause this lipstick is exclusively sold at a store that only one gal shops at…and you are quite a poet, Cheryl
Cheryl blushes…
Cheryl: meet me after school I want to take you on a little trip
Y/N: where?
Cheryl: anywhere you want. I wanna travel with you!

“What are you reading Y/n/n?” Jughead said as he came over to his girls booth at Pop’s.
Y/n turned to show him the title of her latest book. Smiling as her Juggie sat down right next to her rather than across from her.
“What are you up to today Juggie?” Y/n asked putting her back down to give Jughead her full attention. Taking off her glasses and setting them down on top of her book.
“Just spending time with you.” He shrugs a shoulder and wraps his opposite arm around her shoulders. “You wanna head back to the trailer?” Jughead asks brushing her y/h/l  y/h/c  hair back so he could see her face clearer.
“Sure.” Y/n nodds packing her stuff up. Totally ready for a night in with her boyfriend.

You Better You Bet
Previous - PART TWELVE - Next - Masterlist
Author’s Note: Holy shit y'all. It's been a hot minute, huh? I have spent a lot of time thinking about finishing this fic and I just simply must be done with this. I've got a few more chapters coming your way, and then I must bid au revoir to YBYB. It's just been so long. I love you guys so much and thanks for sticking around.
Pairing: Riverdale, FP Jones, and 19-Year-Old Reader
Description: A bet with Jughead leads to so much more than winning.
Warning: Language, Adult themes, Age Gap,
Song Inspiration: Everybody (Backstreet's Back) - Backstreet Boys (Get it?)
By the time Thursday came around, you were doubting everything. Your mind changed every five minutes. You shouldn’t tell Jug. You should have told Jug from the beginning. Well, better late than never, right? You shouldn’t even be with FP. You should be with FP and not tell Jug outright, but not hide it either. Your head cycled through every possibility all day long. You barely accomplished anything other than going through the daily motions, as you were too preoccupied with worrying over how tonight was going to go. No matter how anxiety ridden you were, you never texted FP. For one thing, you didn’t want to freak him out. He was probably already worried and didn’t need your freak out on top of his. But more than that, you trusted him. You knew this was important to him and the right thing to do overall, so you let him take the reigns. It was comforting to know that whatever ended up happening, at least you and FP would have to deal with it together.
You weren’t sure when Jug was heading over to the trailer, so you sent a text to FP after you got out of school simply asking him to keep you updated. He texted back quickly saying Jug was coming over now and he’d let you know how it went as soon as he could. You thought about doing something to preoccupy your mind while you waited, but knew that trying to do anything would be useless. So you just went home. And waited. And waited.
It felt like decades had gone by when your phone finally chimed with a text from FP asking you to come over for dinner. Was he serious? No context, no update. Just a dinner invite? You typed back furiously “uhhhh what am I walking into here, Jones?”. Fuck, it went bad. You knew it was a bad idea. Fuck.
His response came quick, but not quick enough to calm the rising anxiety in your stomach.
“He took it good. Invited Betty over too. Figured it'd be nice to get everyone on the same page right off the bat”
Oh. Okay. So Jug didn’t hate your guts. That was promising. You’d have to feel out exact how he was taking it when you got there, but knowing Betty would be there too was promising. You got yourself ready, texted Betty to see if she wanted a ride, and then you went on your merry way.
Betty had a lot of questions in the car ride over. She knew you had seen FP again because of your sleepover text escapades and you’d made some casual comments about how it was going here and there, but nothing of any substance. You kept FP from Betty mostly because you didn’t want to have to ask her to lie to Jughead. She kept the little information she had known to herself, but now that it was out in the open, she was ravenous for details. Between her and Jughead’s thirst for knowledge and inability to leave anything alone, you were shocked it had taken this long honestly. She asked how serious things had gotten and how often you saw each other and if you’d discussed any future plans. And you told her everything. Honestly, it felt nice to be able to confide in someone about your relationship.
By the time you got to the South Side, Betty was fully clued in on your life. You walked up to the trailer, letting Betty enter first. You ambled in behind her nervous as all hell. It was like telling Jug about the bet all over again, except with way more than 50 bucks at stake. FP greeted Betty with a warm hug and then turned to you. “How’s my girl?” he asked with a grin, throwing his arms around you and kissing the top of your head before you could even get a word out.
“Oh you know, living the dream,” you responded angling your head up so he could plant a quick kiss on your lips.
“God, it’s so much worse seeing it. Like I knew it was happening but- fuck, that’s just off-putting” said Jughead, with no real malice in his voice and just a dash of pure disgust.
“Aw, stop it; they’re cute!” Betty gushed. Your cheeks turned pink at the attention, but FP made no move to let you go which comforted your anxiety.
You hadn’t really thought about the whole “my boyfriend can’t cook anything that isn’t microwaveable” thing when you had originally made dinner plans, but thankfully he had taken the initiative to order in at some point. And Chinese food was bound to make anyone agreeable to even the most uncomfortable of situations.
But luckily, things were mostly normal at dinner. Jug and FP caught up on Serpent news, while Betty filled you in on Riverdale’s mystery de jour. (She was 100% convinced that there was something funky up with that new girl and her weirdly blonde dad, but everyone else thought she was crazy. You believed her, but knew better than to get involved. You were NOT going to be the next girl knifed to a musical background because you sniffed around too hard at the insanity that followed B around). Somehow, the conversations got intertwined when FP and Betty connected the dots that maybe this weird girl’s “Farm” was where Fangs had been disappearing to, and you found yourself extremely out of the loop. You excused yourself to start dinner clean up, and, to your surprise, Jughead volunteered to help you. Not that Jughead was a necessarily unhelpful person, you just assumed he would be of more help with the discussion at hand. And that he would probably want to give you a wide birth while he processed the news that you were dating his father. Either one.
You started to silently put away leftovers and wash dishes by hand, as you couldn’t think of anything to say to each other. Silence with Jug had always been comfortable before- a time to think and write and not have to fill the void with mindless bullshit. But for the first time it felt fragile- like one loud noise and the whole trailer would blow up. You just had to say something. Anything. But before you could decide on whether or not it was stupid to talk to your best friend about the weather, he decided to point out the giant leather-clad elephant in the room.
“I’m trying really hard to not be weird about this,” he admitted while drying the plates you were washing. You blinked at him, afraid to cut him off. “I mean, logically, i’m not…opposed. Dad and I have never been particularly close and it’s not like I even live here. You’ve just always fit into a particular space in my life and now I have to find a way to fit you into a very different space.”
“I get that. And I’m not asking you to change anything for me. I know we’ve always had a bond over growing up the way we did. Independent" - i.e. neglected- "and rocky." - i.e. unstable- "And I don’t want this to change that.”
He looked mildly incredulous, “Of course it changes that. I can’t-“
You cut him off. “Yes you can". You lowered your voice and turned to look Jughead in the eye for possibly the first time in weeks. “Yes, FP is my boyfriend. Yes, I have incredibly strong feelings for him that I’m still trying to work out. But I was your friend first. And he was your dad first- a shitty one! And you’re still trying to repair that relationship. You can still talk to me about him, even the bad stuff. I’m not going to automatically take his side in everything. I knew who he was when I started seeing him, don’t think I don’t know.”
Jughead studied you like one of the boards with red string and different clues he has set up. He just stared at your with those unwavering eyes and you refused to look away, not even once. He finally found whatever he was searching for. “Okay,” he sighed. “Yeah. You’re right. It’s just going to be an adjustment period. But if you’re both happy then…” he trails off and shrugs, but you can tell there’s more thoughts in that always one-step-ahead brain of his. You wait for him to form them into a sentence. “I don’t want you to get hurt either. He wasn’t always particularly good with my mom. Or Alice. Once things settle, he gets... complacent. Stops caring.” Jughead's gaze found a point in the distance to fixate on while he thought, surely, about his own relationship with FP Jones and how once things got hard, he stopped trying with him too.
“I know. And this has only been a few weeks, I’m not expecting anything at this point. I’m not saying he’s changed because I don’t know. I wasn’t there for the before and I can’t be sure if we’re in the after. i just know that I believe he has the capability to be a good guy, and that’s enough for me to give him a chance. I see it in the way he tries now. Please don’t think I would ever date a man believing he’s still shitty.”
Jug snorts at that. “You do love to put men in their place.”
“I really, really do.” Jughead bumps his shoulder into yours and it feels good. Normal. Feels like acceptance.
-------------------------------------------------
By the time Jughead and Betty left, you’d decided it was late enough to warrant you staying the night. You and FP flopped down onto the couch, coming down from a joint anxiety wave that you hadn’t even really noticed.
"That went well,” he stated to no one in particular. “I think,” he added, scrunching up his face just the tiniest bit.
“Very well,” you responded, turning towards him and tucking yourself into his side. “Jug and I talked for a little. He’s okay with it.”
FP just twisted his head to look and you and quirked it to the side, looking for more details. “It'll be an adjustment period for him,” you continued. “But nothing he can’t handle. I think he knows that this makes sense. We make sense.” You laced your fingers in between his as he kissed the top of your head.
“Good. That makes this so much easier,” he admitted, resting his head on top of yours. You sat like that for a while, wrapped up in each other, breathing slow, enjoying the silence, and sharing small kisses and light touches.
Eventually FP scooped you up and carried you to bed, where light touches became heavier and kisses became feverish, until you were both so warn out that you passed out, wrapped up in each other again.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Author's Note Pt 2:
I will never get over the Chad Michael Murray Organ Harvesting Incest Cult plot line.
Why are you, as an adult man, blonde, CMM?
Trying to get back into the flow of writing this as a full blown adult is crazy because I lack the suspension of disbelief that I had when I started writing this. Why are you dating that child, FP Jones? But for you all?? I will suspend my life if you asked.

Serpents and Sweethearts

pairing : JugHead Jones x MReader Tags: Established Relationship, fluff Word count : 807 Y/n: Your name L/n: your last name
It was a cool autumn evening in Riverdale, the kind where the leaves crunched beneath your feet and the air was cold and crisp. The sun had dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and deep purple. At Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe, the usual buzz was replaced by an air of anticipation as Jughead prepared to introduce his boyfriend, Y/N, to his friends from the south side.
Jughead had always been protective of the people he cared about, and introducing Y/N to the serpents was a big step. They had been dating for a few months, and although Y/N had been living in Riverdale for months now and was settling in with ease  He was still nervous about meeting Jughead’s friends. Jughead was determined to ease Y/N’s nerves.
“Are you ready?” Jughead asked, glancing sideways at Y/N. They were sipping on milkshakes, the sweet vanilla flavour doing little to mask Y/N anxiety.
“I guess so,” Y/N replied, His voice wavering slightly. “What if they don’t like me?”
Jughead reached across the table, taking hold of Y/N’s hand. “Trust me. They will, besides, you’re Great.”
Y/N couldn’t help but smile at Jughead’s encouragement. After a moment of quiet, He  nodded. “Okay, I’m ready.”
The bell above the door jingled as the serpents entered the diner making their way over to Jughead's table and sitting down joining them with ease “Hey guys, I want you all to meet Y/N.”Jughead said
The Trio  turned their heads, and a moment of silence fell as they took in Jughead’s significant other. Y/N felt a little on edge  under the weight of scrutiny, but Jughead squeezed his hand reassuringly.
“Y/N, this is Toni,” Jughead gestured to a pretty girl with dark brown hair with a stand-out light pink highlight  “and this is Sweet Pea,” he continued, pointing to a tall guy with a double-headed serpent tattooed on the left side of his neck. “ and finally Fangs” he said  gesturing to guy with a laid-back demeanour.
“Hey!” Y/N nodded, trying to mask his nerves with a small smile.
Toni grinned, her eyes sparkling with mischief.“Nice to meet you, Y/N. Jughead’s told us a lot about you. We’ve been looking forward to this.”
“Yeah, man,” Sweet Pea chimed in, crossing his arms over his chest. “If Jughead’s into you, you must be pretty cool”
“Exactly,” Fangs added with a grin, his laid-back demeanour putting Y/N a bit more at ease. “You must have some serious charm to get him to open up.”
Sweet Pea leaned back in his chair, arms crossed with a friendly smirk. “ and you're hot”
Y/N snorted a laugh at the unexpected compliments. “Thanks, I guess,” his voice steadier now. “I’m just trying to keep up with Jug”
Jughead chuckled, a hint of pride in his eyes. “You’re doing great.”
The conversation flowed more easily as they settled into a rhythm. Toni asked Y/N about his interests, and he found himself sharing stories about his life before he moved to riverdale. Sweet Pea and Fangs chimed in with their own anecdotes, and soon the initial tension began to dissipate.
Fangs grinned “ Jughead finally found someone who can put up with his brooding”
Y/N laughed, the sound brightening the tension in the air. “I wouldn’t call it brooding. More like intense contemplation, right?” He shot Jughead a playful wink, and he couldn’t help but roll his eyes, a smile creeping onto his face.
“Yeah, let’s go with that,” he said, relieved to see Y/N relaxing. The Serpents were accepting Y/N will ease, He was fitting in well.
At one point, Sweet Pea leaned across the table. “So, what’s it like dating our brooding leader over here?”
Y/N smirked. “It's a lot of intense contemplation followed by snack marathons. Pretty solid gig if you ask me.”
The table erupted in laughter, and Jughead felt the warmth of acceptance wash over him.
As the night wore on, Jughead and Y/N went over to the counter to order another
round of milkshakes “See? They liked you,” Jughead said, grinning. “I told you they would.”
Y/N chuckled softly, still feeling the adrenaline of meeting Jughead's gang friends . “I wasn’t sure how they would react..”
“They seem protective of you,” Y/N noted, glancing back at the group laughing and engaged in conversation. “Like they’d do anything for you.”
“Yeah, they would. And so would I,” Jughead replied, his expression suddenly serious. He leaned closer to Y/N. “You mean a lot to me. I want you to know that.”
Y/N leaned in, their lips brushing against Jughead's in a brief yet tender kiss. It was soft and sweet, a promise of something more, something real. As he pulled away, Y/N smiled, his initial nerves completely fading away.

Summer Fling
Request: Yes / No  Hi, I'm a new follower so I don't know if you accept requests, but I've been OBSESSED with Sweet pea. Unfortunately my Riverdale phase came back, since then I've been creating imagine scenarios with Sweet Pea, well, more specifically, Sweet Pea having a "summer fling" with a reader who has the appearance and personality of Liv Rooney and was super friends with Betty or Cheryl (and it would be as if Josie didn't exist or had never been involved with Sweet Pea but the reader) Anon
Don’t be shy, request things! <3 Have a nice day/night

The summer in Riverdale was supposed to be ordinary. Lazy afternoons with Betty, trips to Pop’s, and avoiding the Southside drama that always seemed to creep into the picture. I hadn’t expected it to be anything more than just a short break before heading back to my life in the city, but then I met Sweet Pea.
It started at one of Cheryl’s infamous bonfires. Betty had convinced me to come, saying it would be ‘fun and totally safe.’. I wasn’t so sure about the safe part, especially when I spotted the Serpents hanging around the edges of the firelight, their leather jackets catching the glow like something out of a movie. Sweet Pea was with them, leaning casually against his bike, arms crossed, and smile tugging at his lips. I saw him around before, mostly in the background of Betty’s stories about Riverdale’s chaos, but we never talked. That night though, he noticed me. When our eyes met, this spark, a flicker of curiosity in his dark gaze, made my heart skip a beat.
“You don’t look like you’re from around here.” He said when he finally approached me. His voice was low and teasing. I raised a brow, trying not to let his intense stare throw me off.
“And you don’t look like you talk to girls who aren’t from around here.” I shot back, folding my arms. To my surprise, he laughed, a genuine sound that made the butterflies in my stomach stir.
“Fair enough.” He said, holding his hand out.
“Names Sweet Pea.”
“Y/N.” I replied, shaking his hand and feeling the warmth of his touch linger a little longer than it should have.
That was the beginning of it all. Sweet Pea wasn’t like the guys I usually hung around. He was bold, a little rough around the edges, and completely different from what I expected. But there was also a softness to him, hidden beneath his Sperpent persona and the smirks, I couldn’t help but be drawn to it. Our ‘fling’ started with stolen moments, late-night drives on his bike, secret meetings at Sweetwater River, and whispered conversations under the stars. He showed me a side of Riverdale I’ve never seen before, the hidden beauty in the chaos, and I showed him that there was more to life than just surviving.
One night, we snuck into the movie theater after hours and shared a thing of popcorn he had somehow managed to swipe from the concession stand.
“So, what’s a girl like you doing in a town like this?” He asked, his tone playful.
“Visiting my Grandma.” I smiled.
“And maybe having the time of my life with a guy who’s way cooler than he lets on.” Sweets raised an eyebrow, leaning in closer.
“Cooler than I let on? You sure about that?” I laughed, pushing him lightly.
“Don’t let it go to your head.” He smiled, a soft genuine smile that made my heart race.
“You’re different, Y/N, in a good way.”
“Good different?” I teased, though my voice was soft.
“The best kind.” He whispered, his gaze locking with mine.
As much as I tried to keep things light, I couldn’t help but feel something deeper growing between us. But we both knew it couldn’t last. I was only in Riverdale for the summer and Sweet Pea’s world was here, tangled up in the Sperpents and everything that came with that.
The night before I left, we met by the river, sitting on a blanket as the water glimmered under the moonlight. Neither of us said much, the weight of the inevitable hanging between us. Finally, Sweet Pea turned to me, his expression serious.
“I wish you didn’t have to go…” He said, his voice barely above a whisper. I swallowed hard, trying to keep the tears at bay.
“Me too, but we knew this wasn’t forever.”
“Doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck.” He muttered, his jaw clenching. I reached out, taking his hand in mine.
“This summer… it meant everything to me, Sweets. You mean everything to me.” He looked at me, his eyes filled with something I couldn’t quite place. Sadness, hope, maybe even love?
“You’re not going to forget me, are you?”
“Never.” I promised, leaning in and pressing my forehead against his.
“And you better not forget me either.” He pulled me into a kiss, slow and lingering. It was like he was trying to hold onto the moment as long as he could. When we finally pulled apart, he rested his forehead against mine, his hand cradling my face.
“Goodbye, Y/N.” He whispered.
“Goodbye, Sweet Pea.” I said, my voice breaking.
