& since you asked, the history i'm studying starts from when greece became an independent country, until the dictatorship of 1936 that basically ended allll progress in parliamentary democracy. the book is so badly written though, bc instead of dividing chapters in chronological order (revolution: 1821 - 1829, post-revolution: 1830 - end of 19th century, and modern greece: 1900 - 1936), it's divided thematically. chapters go like: economy, politics, refugee situation, Cretan issue, and issue of Pontos. so, in every chapter, i meet the same dates, but each time it's talking about a different thing that jappened during that period of time (eg. in the "economy" chapter, there's a section talking about how in 1893 there was complete bankruptcy. like they were BROKE. and in 1897 they had to pay back the turks. doesnt explain why they had to do that. now, if yoy move a chapter further, in the "politics" chapter, the war between turkey and greece is mentioned. it started in 1893 and finished in 1897 with greece losing. THAT'S where it explains why greece had to pay money to turkey (for damages and stuff like that).).

anyways, point is, that you gotta look all over the book to piece a war or a contract signed between countries, bc its information is split across the entire book. and i have to learn that entire book like the back of my hand. greek educational system is so shit, but it's exam season is strict af. the better i know shit by the book, the higher the grade i get in my exam paper.

so yeah, i feel like rereading your bradley fics will help me get my mind off of the fact that i have the final in a day .........
