hey i'm curious because i just found out about it and you're the expert, how do you feel about the clocktower boss in epic mickey? i think he's pretty cool since i love his music and design, even if the fight itself is a bit underwhelming since it's the first boss of the game ^^; however i don't have a big attachment to the tower character himself, so what's your opinion?

im far from the expert on the epic mickey version of him tbh fdkjngfdjkl, but i will say i agree on his design + music being good and that he falls into typical first boss/hand boss territory LOL

i think for what he is he's good, but im not a huge fan of them leaning on the "small world is an annoying song!!!" trope to make him all corrupt... like i get WHY they did it (because in general, small world is something people love to hate, esp in the era the game came out in & the guy who... either designed him in-game or wanted him in-game (i dont have the names or exact facts handy) called the IRL clock tower "unnerving" (or something similar) because he smiles all the time..?) but it doesnt mean i have to like the reason

since i headcanon my funny guy version of the (irl) clock tower as having various noise sensitivity issues, i extend those to the funny guy version of the epic mickey clock tower and that the whole thing is caused by a sensory overload meltdown caused by the record player itself rather than the song (which makes the, apparently canon in some epic mickey media, thinner route where ricky rat kills him even more upsetting) ... but that's just mostly me projecting because i love the funny clock and the funny song and my autismo causes me to have... a lot of sensory issues related to sound so it feels like a more relatable motive to kinda lose it and be Violent

plus it feels weird to have the park icon of the attraction not like the song, but, again, i know why they did it

anyway um. to answer ur question in less words: i like him a lot, but i dont like the circumstances of why he is acting that way in the game. but it's worth it because look at the silly:
