I’m so sorry for taking so long to respond I was at school and on mobile, and then I was at my computer for a while… Um warning bc of this, I had a lot of time to think about this and um. It’s long boys.

Listen I’m a simple trash man, so to no one’s surprise I’mma do hawkeye.

Headcanon A:  realistic

Clint and Kate stay in touch through like snapchat and various messaging apps while they are on opposite sides of the US. (I firmly believe that there is no way Kate Bishop is going to be using Skype in the year of our lord 2018 (or whatever year it is in comic book time), She is not having her computer crash thank you very much Barton). 

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Speaking of staying in touch, I was thinking about this and like ok so Clint and Kate defo even when they are kinda mad/fight or whatever still probably like send each other a message every now and then like as an unspoken way of letting the other know they are still alive (this probably involves alot of pictures of spotted dogs, and Kate zooming in on various birds/blurred images of birds and fat pigeons and saying “i didn’t know u were on the west coast!”/ ”u”). And I got to thinking… snapchat Snap Chat streaks. And then I pictured Bucky Barnes answering Clint’s phone (either assuming Clint does something stupid while they are on their hunt for Natasha, and is like knocked out or something OR Clint doesn’t have his hearing aids in so he hands the phone to Bucky) to a very irate Kate Bishop yelling “Barton I swear to futzing God if you broke our snap streak because you sleep through a whole day again I’m flying back to NYC and you’re going to catch these hands” 

Also side note Kate and Clint defo have like 3 different hawkeye chats. Like they text to like meet up/figure out plans. Discord is the meme chat supreme. (But they also have discord channel that is just like theme shit talking people/complaining about their various teams) On that note I starting thinking about Clint using discord and like that mess of a man, like smh he probably accidentally ended up in like a Villain channel. Which once he figured out he and Kate took turns trolling and annoying the hell out of the villains before getting promptly like banned. Speaking of Clint gets banned from the avengers group chat like on the reg, probably a few times a day. Also I was thinking about Clint using like discord and chat apps and Clint definitely also with the whole villain thing is internet friends with a like low level villain. Neither of them are aware who the other are. 

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Clint and Kate both are still dealing with that motherfucking childhood traumaTM   and both still have nightmares and other triggers they have to deal with. (Also idk if this is canon/implied or a headcanon/ but I always thought of Kate’s dad as being abusive, not physically like Clint’s dad and step-dad, but defo emotionally.) Also because they are kind of hypocrites, they both probably don’t address this shit until it all collapses (I mean look at comic canon and tell me I wrong).

Because I’m a simple man who doesn’t like pain, some like stuff to help ease this pain: While they don’t really go into details/talk about their trauma, they have their own ways to help each other. Like somedays Kate is nonverbal, and they just start target practice for a bit, and then have a Dog Cops Marathon with Lucky. When everything is too much and it’s a bad sound day, Kate and Clint will spend a few hours making more and more ridiculous home-signs for the avengers or new superheroes on the scene. (ALSO BOTH Hawkeyes are Autistic you can fight me on this. This is the hill I will die on.) 

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

Clint Barton did not fucking kill the hulk. Civil War II didn’t happen holy shit. Holy Shit that is. That story telling choice bothers me on so many levels??? It’s a disservice for both characters. Okay first I think it’s terrible out of character for Clint “no killing” Barton. Like I know we’ve played kinda fast and loose with how much he’s willing to fucking injury people but um??? Killing the hulk just cause he might maybe do something???? Nope. Also the hulk, Bruce Banner, who was abused by his father and was afraid that he like was going to become a monster like him… being killed because of something he might do…Because he asked Clint to kill him, in case it looks like he’s about to hurt someone or go hulk or whatever it just..like fucking. And then having Clint, who was also abused by his own father, kill him. Idk it just fucking puts a horrible taste in my mouth and makes me uncomfy.
