i think the first half still fits, but just yk not in a literal way lol.. like they didnt actually grow up close in the same way but they cared about each other and all, and the shift in their relationship when kusuke starts getting more serious about their rivalry instead of just playing silly games like who can eat breakfast faster is something i find similar if u get me

and then the second half is just... perfect, like its literally them..

like i could post the entire second half of the lyrics and say its literally them, but i wont crowd this post with that lol so heres just a highlight i guess
