Hi! Have u done any pregnant Hanji and overprotective daddy Levi already?? Yep i think im craving for more domestic levihan family, im sorry đ
Im a bit new here in the community, and when i read ur works, i fell in love with it already, thank you for existing!!! đđđ
Hello anon! Thank you so much, Iâm so glad you enjoyed my other fics :3Â Sorry for the very long wait for this one, I've been struggling to find the time/motivation to write lately, but I'm feeling a little better and I figured I'd get to work on some of my prompts. Starting here!!
It ended up a little less domestic and a touch more angsty than I had originally planned, but only for a moment--happy endings all round!Â
Warning: this does start off with non-graphic depictions of nausea/vomiting, I hope that doesn't bother you!
Hange had been feeling unwell for days.
It wasn't an uncommon occurrenceâHange tended to wake up feeling nauseous some days, most often when she'd neglected to eat a decent meal the evening beforeâbut this was the fourth morning in a row now, that Hange found herself bent over the toilet bowl in the early hours of the morning, heaving up nothing but acid and empty air.Â
She retched until her stomach ached. There was nothing left to bring up, but her gut still rolled unpleasantly and there was a telling tremor under her tongue that warned her it might be best to stay in the bathroom a little while longer. She settled heavily against the wall to catch her breath.
It didn't make any sense. For most of the day, Hange felt fine. A little tired, maybe, but that was only to be expected after spending half the night every night on the bathroom floor. Tonight, no doubt, would follow the uncomfortably familiar routine: Hange would dry-heave a little longer, until the queasiness abated enough for Levi to convince her to come back to bed, and then she would toss and turn, too warm beneath the bed clothes, until she could fall into a restless sleep. She'd wake up feeling a little groggy, a little bleary, unreasonably hungry, but after a coffee and some breakfast she would feel well again. Perfectly normal.
Like clockwork, Levi appeared in the doorway just as Hange had flopped herself back over the toilet. She felt his palm, cool and soft, press against the back of her neck. Hange gathered her hair back from her face with both hands, braced her elbows on the toilet bowl, letting out a groan of discomfort as her stomach twisted, threatened to revolt again. Levi's thumb rubbed soothingly against her neck.
Sure enough, she brought up nothing more, but she gagged plenty, and found herself gasping for breath by the time she leaned back against Levi, aching and exhausted. His lips pressed into her damp hair.
Levi was as silent as always. His touch was pleasant, his presence welcome. Hange needed the hand he offered to pull her to her feet, needed his reassuring grip at her hips as she brushed her teeth and rinsed her mouth out. Her quaking knees felt unstable beneath her.Â
He lay facing her after they got into bed. Hange was sprawled out atop the covers, shifting restlessly to find the coolest patches on the bed. Levi watched her for a moment, then said, "This isn't normal."
Hange only grumbled.
"You said you'd book an appointment with the doctor."
Hange grumbled again. Levi ticked his tongue and rolled to lie on his back, staring at the ceiling.
"Call tomorrow."
"If I didn't know better," Hange said sluggishly, "I'd say you were worried about me."
He scowled and rolled onto his other side, his back to her now.
"No, just sick of waking up at half four every morning to drag you back to bed."
Hange managed a small, wicked snicker, but shuffled across the space between them and pressed an apologetic kiss to the back of his neck.
"Must be dreadful," she said. Her voice sounded raw, hoarse. She buried her nose into his hair and took a long, deep breath. Levi grunted, but reached back and pulled her arm loosely over his hip. He knotted their fingers together loosely.
"Call them, Hange."
Hange gave his fingers a gentle, reassuring squeeze.
"I will."
**
Hange prided herself on being a reasonably intelligent person. She had two degrees, was working towards her doctorate, and already had her name on a small handful of peer-reviewed research papers. She spoke multiple languages, read dissertations for fun, kept a (in Leviâs words) disgustingly realistic human skeleton in a box under the bed for study purposes, and had spent the better part of the last 26 years of her life studying human biology and physiology. Â
How she had not predicted that she might be pregnant was almost unfathomable.Â
She left the doctors office in a daze with an appointment card and several pamphlets in hand. She had been referred hastily to a midwife and the hospital would soon be sending out a date for an ultrasoundââAs soon as possible,â the doctor had said, âsince youâre not sure how far along you are.âÂ
The thing is, Hange had been on the same birth control pill for years now. Forgetful as she may be about many, many things (like eating, and bathing, and washing the dishes and taking out the garbage and and and), Hange was religious in taking that damn pill at the same time every single day. She had never missed it, not even once. Without a regular cycle, Hange had no way of predicting when they had conceived, and the doctor was eager to make sure no essential landmarks in her antenatal care were missed, if they could possibly help it.
The thought had never even crossed her mind. It seemed ridiculous now, in hindsight. The sickness was one thing, but now that she thought about it, there were a whole host of small oddities that Hange could easily attribute to pregnancy. Lethargy, and bloating, heartburn, and she had been peeing more than usualâHange groaned, and scrubbed her hands over her face. She should have suspected, at least. Should have put the pieces together sooner.Â
But, stupid and naive as it may be, she hadnt thought it possible. Why worry about it, when Hange had taken consistent precautions to avoid it?Â
She felt queasy the entire bus ride home.Â
It wasnât that she was against the idea of having children. One day, maybe. When she had finished her doctorate, got herself a steady, well-paid job. When she and Levi had moved out of their tiny, cramped apartment into somewhere bigger, somewhere more suited for a family.Â
And god. Levi.Â
This was something theyâd never really talked about. For his part, Levi never seemed all that interested. He was good with Hangeâs nieces and nephews, and Erwinâs son adored him, and he hadnât showed any express dislike for children, butâwell, tolerating other peoples little brats and raising your own are two very different things.Â
What if Levi didnât want the baby? What if he did? Hange wasnât even sure herself what she wanted to do about the whole situationâwhat if she didnât want it? What if, after some reflection, Hange decided now wasnât a good time? Could they even afford a baby right now? Hangeâs money was tied up in her education, while Levi was just making ends meet at the office. They got by well enough with just the two of them, but add in a baby? A whole other person, entirely dependant on them for support? Hange could barely feed and bathe herself, some days, never mind responsibly care for a child.Â
By the time the bus pulled up near the house, Hange felt more distressed than ever. Levi, at least, was at work until the evening, so she had a few more hours to herself to mull everything over, but the entire situation made her stomach clench and churn unpleasantly with every new thought.Â
The prospect of having a child was terrifying. The prospect of not having this child was nauseating.Â
Levi had left the flat in pristine condition when he had left for work, but Hange barely had the energy to feel even a little guilty as she shrugged off her coat and kicked off her shoes, leaving both strewn about the floor. She dumped her bag and made her way sluggishly through to the bedroom.Â
Levi had made the bed. The sheet was stretched flat over the mattress, the pillows perfectly fluffed and set against the headboard. Hangeâs nightshirt, one of Leviâs old, baggy shirts, too stretched and threadbare for him to wear, had been folded neatly and left on her side of the bed, her slippers lined up smartly with the bed frame. For some reasonâhormones, she told herselfâher eyes watered, and a lump swelled in her throat. She sniffled pitifully as she stripped off her clothes and pulled on the shirt, clambering into the bed and tugging the sheets until the cocooned around her.Â
Hange passed the rest of the day tossing and turning in bed. She tried to nap, but her mind was too restless, occupied with thoughts of the baby, with the concept of having to tell Levi when he came home. She could try to lie, say the doctors had done some blood work, that she was waiting on the results of some test or other, but Levi knew her too well. She could never lie to him, and her despondent state would give her away before she had the chance to say anything.Â
The sun was beginning to set by the time she heard Leviâs keys in the door. She felt exhausted, head aching with all the thinking, considering, weighing up her options; with running over every possible outcome she could imagine. Keeping the baby, getting rid of the baby, Levi not wanting the baby, Levi leaving over the babyâevery scenario she could imagine was worse than the last. There was only one idea that she had hardly dared entertain, in fear of disappointment if things didnât work out.Â
She heard Levi call out for her, but gave no answer. She listened, curled up in a ball on her side, as he shuffled around, no doubt picking up her coat and shoes from where she had abandoned them. And then he made his way towards the bedroom, steps soft on the plush carpet. The bedroom door creaked open.Â
âHange?âÂ
She made a small, warbled noise under the bedclothes. Levi came to sit on the bed, the mattress dipping beneath his weight. His hand found the curve of Hangeâs hip.Â
âHow was it?âÂ
Hange made another noncommittal sound. She wiped her nose and eyes on the sheets, but didnât dare show her face just yet. She wasnât ready. She had never prepared for this conversation, never even imagined it before today. It was too soon. Not enough time to rehearse.Â
Leviâs hand moved to her back, rubbing lightly up and down her spine, before dropping to the mattress behind her. He leaned over her, and she felt his lips press warm and gentle to the point of her shoulder. A fresh wave of tears poured over the bridge of her nose and down the side of her face.Â
She tried to be quiet, but somethingâthe shake of her shoulder, perhaps, or the shudder of air as she tried to take a steadying breath inâgave way to her crying. Levi moved off the bed, but Hange felt his fingers prying lightly at the sheets, pulling them down until he could get a good look at her face. He was kneeling by the bed now, face level with her, and he looked at her with worry pinching deep creases between his brows.Â
âOi, whatâd they say?âÂ
Hange bit the inside of her lip and rubbed her damp cheek on the pillow. If Levi was bothered by her using their bedding as a tissue, he didnât show it. He simply looked at her, eyes darting over her face, searching. It occurred to Hange then how this must look to him. She had gone to the doctors due to unexplained, violent sickness, and now she is in bed, hours later, still crying about whatever news she had received.Â
âIâm fine,â she said. Leviâs tense shoulders relaxed a fraction, but his face remained pinched, frowning and concerned. Hange wanted to tell him quickly, simply, like ripping off a plaster, but the words would not come. She opened her mouth, but her throat constricted painfully.Â
Eventually, she said, âmy bag. Thereâs some stuff in my bag. Have a look.âÂ
Levi gave her a somewhat quizzical look, but stood, dropping a quick kiss to her temple before going to fetch the bag, and dipping his hand in to fish out the contents inside.Â
Hange watched with her breath held and her stomach clenched as Levi pulled out the handful of leaflets and turned them over, looking at each one in turn. His eyes widened fractionally as comprehension dawned on him. His lips pressed into a thin line. Leaden weight settled in Hangeâs gut. She curled into a tighter ball, pressing the bedsheets over her mouth and nose, waiting for him to gather himself enough to say something.Â
After a moment, he spoke.Â
âThatâs all?âÂ
Huh? âHuh?!âÂ
Hange disentangled her arms from the sheets and sat up, staring at him. Levi moved to sit on the edge of the bed again, a scowl back on his face, though there was an intriguing flush high on his cheeks as he whacked her lightly on the top of the head with the leaflets.Â
âStupid four-eyes,â he said, exasperated. âCrying like that. I thought you were dying.â Â
âIâm pregnant.â Hange said the word slowly, carefully, in case Levi had somehow misunderstood. He had the audacity to look at her like she was stupid.
âI can see that.âÂ
âAnd you have nothing more to say about it? Thatâs all?âÂ
Levi shrugged a little at her. Aside from the small patches of colour in his cheeks, Levi seemed wholly unfazed by the revelation.Â
âItâs just a baby. We can handle a baby.âÂ
âThat doesnât terrify you?âÂ
Levi scrutinised her for a moment, before he said, âare you scared?âÂ
âYes? Yes! How are you so calm? We canât afford a babyâwe donât have the time for a baby? Where will they going to sleep? We donât have a spare room. Can we get time off work to take care of a baby? How will we pay for childcare when we canât be around?âÂ
âHange,â Levi said, putting a stop to her rambling. He watched her with a pinched stare. âDo you not want it?âÂ
Hange had spent the majority of the day mulling over this same question. Staring a family was a huge, life-changing commitment, something that required  careful forethought and planning. They had not had that luxury. Hange was pregnant now. She had doubts and fears, more than she could ever express, but the idea of simply having a babyâof having this babyâwasnât upsetting. In the small, brief moments she had allowed herself to imagine a future where she and Levi were parents, where they werenât wanting for money or time, where things were well, she felt happy. Giddy. The prospect was almost exciting.Â
âItâs not that,â Hange said earnestly. âI doâIâve been thinking about it all day, and IâI do want it. But I justâwe had no time to prepare. We have no savings, we have no space, Iâm a mess. How are we supposed to take care of a tiny person? Babies are hard work, Levi.â
âYouâre already hard work.âÂ
Hange laughed weakly, and wiped at her face again. Levi pressed a kiss to her raw cheek.Â
âWeâll figure it out,â he said.
Hange leaned into him, sighing quietly.Â
âIs this the kind of thing we can just figure out?âÂ
Levi hummed, shrugging his shoulder. His fingers skimmed up beneath Hangeâs shirt, splaying over the small of her back and pulling her closer.Â
âWhy not? Weâve done a good job bullshitting our way through everything else.â Â
Hange laughed lightly and bumped the side of her head against Leviâs. Â
âThis is different, Levi. This is a person. A tiny little person who is going to need me and you to do everything for them. What if we canât do it? What if we mess up?âÂ
âHange.â Levi pulled back a little and his hands came up to grip either side of her face, forcing her to look at him. âStop. I know all that. But if you want the brat, and I want the brat, weâve got no choice but to get on with it.âÂ
âI know, I know, butâwait, you want the baby?âÂ
Levi maintained eye contact with her, but it seemed to take a concentrated effort to do so. The flush of his cheeks deepened a little and his lips quirked at the corners. No doubt to compensate for the show of emotion, he pulled his face into his customary frown.Â
âItâs fine,â he said. Hange fought the urge to roll her eyes and caught his hands as he lowered them from her face, pulling them into her lap.Â
âAre you saying that because itâs already too late, or do you want to keep it?âÂ
Leviâs face took on a look of constipated strain. He curled his lip as though in distaste, then hooked a hand around the back of Hangeâs neck and pulled her face to his abruptly, smacking a kiss to her lips. He let his forehead settle against hers and stroked his thumb over the hinge of her jaw.Â
He fought to keep his tone neutral, but Hange could hear the happy tremor in his voice as he said again, âItâs fine.â
For the first time since hearing the news that day, Hange allowed herself to feel excited. To accept the idea that she and Levi were about to start their own bizarre little family. That Levi was still with her felt incredible enough, but to know that he was pleasedâit was more than she could ever have hoped for. Hange gave a wet laugh and kissed him again.Â
âAre you allergic to looking happy?â Hange asked as they broke apart. Levi clicked his tongue and pulled back to flick her square between the eyebrows. She laughed a little louder and leaned to wipe her runny nose on his shoulder. Levi muttered under his breath, but didnât push her away. Â
âOkay,â Hange said, after a moment. She sat back and pushed her hair back from her face. âOkay. Weâre having a baby, then.âÂ
Leviâs rubbed the smile from his lips with the back of his hand, nodding. âWeâre having a baby.âÂ
Hange sunk down to flop back over the pillows. Levi looked down at her, head tilted, chewing the inside of his lip. Hange reached up to brush his fringe off his forehead, warmth spilling in her chest when he held her hand close and turned to kiss her palm.Â
She smiled a little playfully, and freed a leg from the sheets to dig her toes into his ribs.Â
âIf Iâd known you wanted kids I would have been significantly less stressed, you know.âÂ
Levi quirked a brow at her.Â
âIâve told you that before.âÂ
âNo, you havenât.âÂ
âI have. At your sisters wedding.âÂ
Hange racked her brain, searching for the conversation. She remembered the occasion, and she remembered that she and Levi had somehow ended up babysitting Hangeâs family brood. She remembered Levi, wrestling to keep her youngest nephew on his lap while the eldest, still only five or six at the time, was clambering up the back of his chair, sticky hands tugging at Leviâs collar. Hange fought hard to recall more of what was said, but could remember nothing at all of Levi announcing that he had wanted one of his own.Â
âYou said these brats arenât so bad,â Hange said slowly.Â
Levi nodded at her. Hange waited for him to elaborate, but he didnât, only looked at her like there was nothing more he needed to say.Â
âThatâs it? Thatâs your idea of telling me you want kids?âÂ
âThe hell else could I have meant?âÂ
Hange dug her toe at him again but Levi caught her foot this time, pushing it firmly down onto the mattress. Hange reached for him with both arms instead, curling them around the back of his neck and tugging him down quickly. He toppled over her with a quiet oof, and Hange rolled them quickly, straddling his waist and dropping her weight down onto him.Â
âThat is the kind of thing you say clearly, Levi! These brats arenât so badâyouâre ridiculous!âÂ
Levi wrestled with her arms a little longer before giving up and bringing his hands instead to rest low on her hips. He watched her with a curious expression on his face, something open and soft, and then his eyes roved down to her abdomen and his thumbs brushed inwards, beneath the hem of her shirt, stroking over her lower belly.Â
This time, he didnât fight his smile.Â
He reached up and pulled her down by the neck, and kissed her soundly. Hange melted against him, welcomed the press of his tongue between her lips, shuddered pleasantly when he nipped at her bottom lip. She went with him willingly as he rolled them both over, nudging a knee between her legs and settling his weight against her.Â
She was spreading her legs to make space for him, when he paused suddenly, and pulled back, leaning over the bed and scooping through the discarded back of leaflets. Hange, winded and dishevelled, watched him incredulously as he flicked through the contents of one, then tossed it aside and opened another.Â
âWhat are you doing?âÂ
Without looking up, Levi replied, âChecking.âÂ
âChecking what?âÂ
âI wanna know if we can stillââ he waved a hand between them, and went back to searching.Â
âWeâve beenââ Hange mimicked his gesture, ââup until now anyway.âÂ
Levi looked up at her, looking mildly horrified. He held up one his open leaflet and said, âYouâve been drinking alcohol, too. Youâre not supposed to do that. And look, hereâyouâre not supposed to overwork. Youâll have to take on less hours at the university. And youâll eat. Proper damn meals. Every day.âÂ
Hange flopped back against the pillows, eyes rolling, watching as Levi picked up each new leaflet in turn, pointing out every little adjustment that Hange would have to make.Â
âThis one says you should get eight to ten hours sleep per night. Every night. And not so much coffee, the caffeineâs bad for the baby.âÂ
The baby. It sounded surreal. It sounded ridiculous. Levi shifted to sit against the headboard beside her after opening the chunky little What to Expect While Expecting volume Hange had been handed while leaving the doctors. He seemed thoroughly engrossed, and seemingly unaware when one of his hands reached out to pull Hangeâs hair free of its ponytail and sink into her hair. She hummed happily as his nails scraped over her scalp.Â
Things were still scary, and Hange was still uncertain about how this whole adventure might turn out. But Levi was still with her, and Levi was happy, and thatâ
âWell, that was good enough.Â

The call came in -- loudly -- at around 2 in the morning.
When Squidward rolled over to check his shell phone, the dull blue screen read, simply, âSpongeBratâ, accompanied by a vomit emoji. Sighing, the octopus put his phone on silent and went back to bed. Surely whatever it was the sponge wanted to blabber about could wait until tomorrow. After a decent nightâs sleep.
Unfortunately, sleep was hard to come by. Despite having switched his phone to silent, the deviceâs small blue screen continued to light up repeatedly, like a small, pathetic rave. Every few seconds, the small blue light cast peculiar shadows on the walls of Squidwardâs bedroom. Eventually, after thirty minutes of tossing and turning, the cephalopod grabbed his phone to shove it inside the nightstand -- when he caught a glimpse of the screen itself.
43 missed calls. 37 unread text messages. All from âSpongeBratâ Squarepants.
The phone rang again. This time, Squidward picked up.
âSpongebob, do you have any idea what time it is?â snapped Squidward, despite the uncomfortable, worried feeling growing in his stomach. âNo? Well, Iâll tell you -- it is two-forty-seven --â
âI-I know, Squidward,â came a small, shaking Spongebob-voice. âI just -- I didnât know what to do.â
Squidward paused. Well, that was ⌠not the regular Spongebob volume. Or tone. Or pitch.
âSqu -- Squidward?â came the spongeâs soft, sad voice once more. The frycookâs voice was barely audible. There was some sort of loud, constant whooshing happening on the other end, not to mention a weird crackling noise, which made it very difficult to hear. Squidward sighed, wiping a tentacle across his eyes.
âIâm here,â said Squidward. âWhatâs this about, Spongebob?â
Silence. Then, crying -- and not Spongebobâs usual loud, obnoxious crying. This crying was quiet and gentle, barely decipherable against the loud whooshing on the other end of the line. Squidward sat up then, pressing the phone close to his ear.
âSponge,â said Squidward, panic rising in his chest. âSponge, whatâs wrong?â
Spongebob sobbed something indiscernible. Then, he stammered, âIâm -- Iâm hurt, Squidward. Iâm hurt, and ⌠Iâm lost.â
Something funny exploded in Squidwardâs chest. Before he knew it, the octopus was out of bed, scrambling for his jacket and keys. Gripping his shell phone tight, Squidward asked, âWhere are you? Whatâs going on, Spongebob?â
On the other end of the line, Spongebob snuffled. âI got on the wrong bus,â he explained, in a shaky, uneven voice. âI -- Iâm in a place called âDeviltownâ now, and the current is so strong, and the signal is pretty bad --â There was that distorted, crackling sound again -- followed by a few more broken whimpers.
Squidward sighed, feeling his hearts crack with every little sob. âHey, everythingâs going to be fine,â he said, stepping out the door and into the cool Bikini Bottom night. âStay where you are. Iâm on my way.â

Deviltown, it turned out, was several hours away from Bikini Bottom. Squidwardâs shell phone indicated the drive not only went straight, but downward -- which was certainly a problem. Oceanic towns grew more and more dangerous the deeper you went, and Deviltown was apparently thousands of nautical leagues under the sea. Wherever Spongebob was, even the sun couldnât reach him.
Undeterred, Squidward set off on his journey. His boat was constantly maintained, so the cephalopod was certain it could handle the perilous road ahead.
For the first hour or so, the drive was uneventful -- peaceful, even. The streets were smooth and well taken care of, which was good considering the massive tax hike this past year. Squidward even put on some Kelpy G, which certainly helped to soothe his nerves.
Later on, however, the drive got worse. The once well-maintained roads gave way to rickety rocks and slippery sand, with only a few sporadic road signs to get by. Moonlight became sparse, and by the time Squidward reached a vertical road, he had his brights all the way up -- and was still struggling to see.
A nearby rickety sign read âDeviltown, 10 nautical miles downward.â Peering down into the deep abyss, Squidward gulped. Despite his headlights, he still couldnât see a thing -- just a vast expanse of open blackness.
A tight feeling wound itself around Squidwardâs chest. He thought about backing up, turning around, and going straight home. This was ridiculous. Why was he out here, in the wee hours of the morning, chasing after SpongeBrat Squarepants, of all people? The boy had other friends. Certainly one of them would be willing to retrieve him.
Squidwardâs tentacle hovered just over the gear stick. Thatâs when he saw it: in his passenger seat lay Spongebobâs wrinkled little jacket. The sponge must have left it behind the other day, when Squidward (begrudgingly) drove them both home from work.
Squidwardâs chest felt hollow, suddenly. He thought of how many times heâd seen Spongebob in that exact jacket over the years.
He thought of never seeing him in that jacket ever again.
Groaning, the octopus switched gears from âDriveâ to âDrive, But Downwardâ, and puttered his way into the deep and black abyss.

The journey into the inky black was, bar none, one of the creepiest things Squidward had ever experienced. He told himself, repeatedly, that if he just stared straight ahead and focused on the task at hand, then everything would be fine. Still, hearing creepy noises in the darkness (and being unable to see where they came from) was severely unsettling.
After what felt like forever, the vertical road became horizontal once again, and Squidward finally drove into Deviltown. Luckily, the town had the decency to set up some lamp posts, possibly for out-of-towners like Squidward who were unused to the darkness. Still, the lamp posts were few and far between, and there was nobody out and about, giving Deviltown a fittingly creepy vibe nonetheless.
Tense, cold, and worried, Squidward drove further into town, squinting for Spongebobâs bright yellow body. Surely the boy couldnât be that hard to spot -- he was likely the only vibrant thing down here. Surely --
Oh. Oh, no.
Squidward brought his boat careening to a stop. Clambering out of it, the octopus made his way over to a rickety wooden bus stop, with a flickering lamp post just overhead. On a bench nearby was none other than Spongebob Squarepants: cold, alone, and unconscious. For a moment, a horrible thought passed through Squidwardâs head -- is he dead? -- before he saw the spongeâs chest rise and fall, taking slow and steady breaths.
Breathing a huge sigh of relief, Squidward looked up and down the street. No one in sight.
Gently, the octopus leaned down and shook Spongebob lightly. âHey,â said Squidward, awkwardly. âWhat are you doing asleep all the way out here? We have work tomorrow, you know.â
Spongebob stirred. In the dim light, Squidward realized the sponge really was hurt -- his usually spiffy shirt and tie were ripped straight down the middle. Beyond the fabric, the spongeâs chest was badly torn up, too, and for some reason, he had not regenerated yet.
Squidward swallowed. âSpongebob?â
The sponge stirred once more. This time, his eyes opened -- and he smiled, weakly. âSquidward,â he slurred, happily. He tried to laugh, then winced, clutching at his stomach and chest. âSquidward, itâs you ⌠you came ⌠â
âOf course I came,â muttered Squidward, before he could stop himself. âI -- you ⌠ugh, I hate you.â
Scooping up Spongebob, Squidward gently carried him over to the boat, positioning him carefully in the passengerâs seat. The sponge fussed a little about being buckled in, but otherwise, seemed too out of it to complain properly. Taking a deep breath, Squidward got back behind the wheel and started the engine.
âHeheh,â chuckled Spongebob as the boat roared to life. âVroom-vroom.â
Squidward rolled his eyes and began turning the boat around, back towards Bikini Bottom. âWeâre going home now,â he said, with a sigh. âYou need to see a doctor for ⌠whatever it was that happened to you.â
Spongebob simply nodded, then fell to his side, leaning all of his body weight on Squidward as he drove. The octopus felt warmth rising to his cheeks, and for once felt grateful for the murky blackness of the ocean void.
Spongebob was mumbling something.
âWhat is it?â said Squidward. âAre you okay?â
âI âŚuh ⌠love you, Squidward,â said Spongebob, in a very loopy voice. âI love your big nose, and your paintings, and I wanna ⌠get married, someday. Okay? Can we get married, someday?â
Squidwardâs entire face was bright red now. It took everything in him not to just veer in a random direction and crash the entire damn boat. Taking a deep breath, the octopus collected himself. Spongebob was just severely injured, and loopy as a result. He didnât really mean any of this.
Squidward decided to play along. âYeah,â he said. âYeah, we can get married.â
âMm,â said Spongebob, chuckling softly. âCan I -- can I wear a dress?â
âSure,â said Squidward. âWhatever you want.â
âAnd youâll ⌠and youâll kiss me?â
âMhm,â mumbled Squidward.
âAnd I can ⌠listen to you play the clarinet around the house ⌠and, and paint with you ⌠and watch your soaps with ⌠you ⌠â
Squidward looked over. The sponge had fallen asleep, and was snoring loudly. Which was ⌠good. Very good. Excellent, even. That way, they couldnât talk about marriage or love or any of that absolute nonsense. Now they could just drive forward in sweet silence.
Still, Squidward found himself dwelling over Spongebobâs words far more than he would have liked.
About an hour into the drive home, the octopus glanced over at the sponge, still fast asleep beside him. Fixing his gaze forward, Squidward took a deep breath, clutching the steering wheel in a tight death-grip.
âSpongebob, I âŚ,â Squidward began, shakily. âI love you. I love you, I love you.â
Squidward found that once he started saying it, he couldnât stop. The words felt good in his mouth, like a massive weight had finally been lifted off his chest.
âI love everything about you,â said Squidward, his three hearts exploding inside his chest. âYour annoying laugh, your stupid singing, all of it. I want to read with you, and garden with you.â
Squidward hesitated, his words floating out into the open water.
âI love you,â said Squidward, one last time. âAnd I ⌠I donât know what to do about it. Maybe Iâm a coward. Iâm sorry.â
Squidward looked over. Spongebob was still fast asleep, snoring away against his arm -- but the smallest of smiles had appeared on his face.
-0-
Squidward woke up in the hospital, seated in a chair next to Spongebobâs hospital bed. The poriferan was wide awake, watching an episode of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy on the hospital television. Of course.
The sponge turned. âSquidward!â he exclaimed, his voice loud and back to normal. âYouâre awake!â
âUnfortunately,â muttered the octopus. âHow are you feeling?â
âGreat!â chirped Spongebob. âBetter than ever, actually -- but the doc says I should stick around for a little while, just in case.â
Squidward glanced down. Sure enough, Spongebobâs chest had almost fully regenerated. Thank Neptune. When they arrived at the Bikini Bottom General Hospital early that morning, Spongebob was still in rough shape. The doctor said Spongebob most likely had a run-in with a deep-sea predator, and the attack was too quick and too constant for the poriferan to regenerate. Not to mention there were several lacerations to his vital organs.
Still, sponges were pretty sturdy folk -- and all Spongebob really needed was a long rest in a controlled environment.
Squidward breathed a huge sigh of relief. âGreat,â he said, awkwardly. âI, uh. Pay attention next time you get on the bus, alright? So I donât have to come running after you.â
Spongebob laughed. âOkey-doke.â
The two then sat together in silence for an uncomfortable amount of time. All the while, Squidward wondered if perhaps his stupid, impulsive, not-really-a-love-confession-confession had actually gotten through to Spongebob. His hearts twisted up at just the thought.
âHey, Squidward?â
The octopus looked up, and was very surprised to find splotches of red decorating the spongeâs cheeks.
âWhat?â said Squidward.
âMy, uh, sea flowers have been dying lately,â said the sponge, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. âMaybe you could come by and we could share some gardening tips?â
A brilliant red blush planted itself on Squidwardâs face. Then, he cleared his throat, and folded his arms across his chest. âOnly if we get to watch a soap afterwards.â
Spongebob grinned. âDeal.â
Squidward found himself grinning, too, despite himself. âDeal.â

I will likely be compiling these ficlets into one combined fic on ao3. I originally wasn't going to, but I definitely didn't expect so many requests. So keep an eye out for that, at some point.

This isn't pee.
Part 1: Congratulations Part 2: Im having your baby Part 3: Plum Sized Part 4: Kicks and Catch Ups
The next few months flew by. You and Harry were anxiously awaiting the babyâs arrival. Now that you were down to your last few weeks before the due date, things were coming together. You had spent the last two weeks finishing the nursery and piecing together all of the furniture. Well, Harry had done most of the work there but to be fair, you could barely walk without waddling and bending down was just not an option. Luke had come over to help as well and Harry had been grateful. He wasn't the best at following the instructions to properly build things. The nursery was finally complete though and it looked amazing. The crib, the changing station, the rocking chair, all of it out and ready for the baby. Hell, you were ready for the baby. You hadn't slept in weeks. You sat in the rocking chair, rubbing your belly and thinking back to the other night. You had only managed to sleep a few hours, but luckily Harry had been by your side the whole time.
*You rolled onto your back with a small groan. Nothing was working, you were overly tired, frustrated, in pain, and hungry. You were so uncomfortable you actually wanted to scream. Your stomach was massive, a giant lump sticking into the air and because of that, no position in bed was comfy. Literally not one, your back hurt, you hated sleeping on your side, your stomach was clearly not an option, and Harry was curled into a tight ball which meant no cuddles. On top of not being able to find a position to sleep in, you never slept more than an hour at a time. Tonight especially, you had been experiencing braxton hicks contractions most of the night, some of them leaving you in tears. You placed your hand on your stomach and could feel her kicking around. Figures, I go to bed and youre wide awake but the minute I get an ultrasound youre curled in a ball sleeping. You could feel her tiny feet pushing through the skin of your stomach, giving you butterflies and a smile. There was just something so strange about feeling a baby kick within you, and while it was strange it was a beautiful part of pregnancy that you would for sure miss. But of course, right now you just wished she would sit still and go to sleep so maybe you could also get some sleep as well. You winced in pain as you felt another contraction come on. You were focusing on your breathing when Harry rolled over concerned. âYou okay babe?â he asked, his voice extra deep with sleep. You held up a finger and sat up, trying to breathe through the pain. He held your hand and rubbed your back anxiously. âShould we call the doctor and go in to get everything checked out? How regular are your contractions?â He was beginning to panic.Â
You took a deep breath and squeezed his hand while attempting a smile. âIâll be okay....ohhh....Dont call the doctor....they are just Braxton hicks....â You breathed deeply and continued holding his hand. After a minute the contraction seemed to have ended and you no longer felt like you were about to push the baby out, you fell back into your pillow. âIve been having Braxton hicks all night. Seems our little one is extra active and pushy tonight.â you laughed rubbing the massive belly. Harry lifted up your t-shirt and smiled. He pressed a couple kisses around the belly and then one to your lips. âYoure incredible, have I told you that before?â
You laughed and nodded. âNot that I wouldn't take it again though.âÂ
He kissed your lips, âYou, (y/n)â another kiss, âare the strongest, most incredible womanâ his lips were pressing against yours longer this time, âI have ever met and there is absolutely no one else in this world I would want to make this amazing little human with.â As he was finished the kiss you felt another contraction coming on and you whined in pain. Harry sat next to you, pulling your body against his chest. âBreathe babe, itâll be okay.â He sat there doing your pregnancy breathing exercises with you as you waited for the contraction to end.Â
âAhhâ you groaned holding onto the stomach and leaning your head back against Harryâs shoulder. âThis....this â you stopped and let out a long breath. âThis is a good one.â Harry rubbed the stomach and sat with you until it was over. You looked at him with tears, âI hate this part of pregnancy.â The lack of sleep was defntitly setting in and you were feeling all kinds of emotions.
Harry sighed and kissed your cheek as you scooted back to your pillow. He got up, walked to the kitchen and came back a few minutes later with a cup of tea. âMaybe this will helpâ he smiled and climbed back into bed.Â
You sipped on the tea and felt a big kick. âOhhh.â you grabbed Harryâs hand and placed it on your lower stomach where the kick had been. You felt another kick in the same place and Harryâs face lit up as his hand moved so slightly. He loved feeling the baby and talking to her. It was one of his favorite things to do. If it were up to him, you would be shirtless all the time so every kick the baby made could be recorded. One of your favorite things of course had been watching him during the ultrasound when it did a full kick. His mouth had fallen open as her little foot moved on the screen and on the stomach.Â
âThat was a good one.â He smiled and kissed the spot the foot had been before replacing his hand. You moved his hand to the position you were feeling small kicks, your hands on top of his. You could feel the kick through his hands which wasnt surprising considering the amount of movement the little one had been doing all night. You yawned and Harry smiled sleepily. âReady to try this again?â You nodded and he flipped the light off. This time, you were on your side, resting the belly on a body pillow so that it was supported a little more. Harry was cuddled up against you as the big spoon, his arms wrapping around you, his chin nuzzled into your neck. His soft breathing went down your neck, sending goosebumps all over your body. You breathed in his sweet smell and smiled. His warmth was helping you, just as it even when you weren't  pregnant. Harry always seemed to be your answer when you were having trouble falling asleep. He was so perfectly cuddly, warm, and sweet. Now was no exception to that, your eyes drifted closed and you breathed a sigh of relief for the first time all night.Â
Your sleep did not last long. After a few hours of sleep you felt a sharp contraction and sat up immediately sucking in a breath and turning on the light. Harry shifted again and blinked tiredly. âAnother one?â he asked concerned again. âMaybe we should go in..â
âNo......â you let out a deep breath. âIâm okay......ââAre your sure love, this seems a little much..âYou nodded breathing trying to breathe through the pain.Â
A few tears dropped down your cheek and Harry wiped them away with his finger. He sat up and slowly massaged your belly, gently pressing and rubbing the soft skin. âShh little one you need to sleep nowâ he whispered against the stomach. You felt the baby move a little more and he continued on slowly rubbing the belly top to bottom. âBaby your hurting mommy, I need you to sleep so she can sleep too.â He pressed a kiss to your stomach and your breathing slowed as the pain did. âThatâs a good baby....daddy loves you...â Your eyes were fluttering closed as the pain was leaving your body and sleep was taking over again. Harry hadn't stopped though, he began to softly sing, âyou are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy, when skies are grey, youâll never know dear, how much I love you, so please don't take my sunshine away.â It was working, you could feel her slowly settle within you, no more kicking, flipping, or shifting. âYou are my sunshine baby, and while daddy is so excited to meet you, you need to stay inside there a little longer preferably with a little less pain to mommy...â  Harry rubbed the belly a few more times, but you were already falling asleep again just like the baby. He kissed your cheek and continued to hum to the melody of the lullaby and whisper to the baby.  You smiled and listened to the endearing things he was saying to the little one. Harry did this most nights, told the baby he loved it, how amazing it was going to be, and how he couldn't wait to meet it. You loved it, all of it. How supportive he was, how excited he was, and you were excited to see him as a dad.
âI love youâ you whispered without opening your eyes.
âI love you too.â Harry pulled you close to him and continued rubbing the belly until you had fully fallen asleep. He then drifted off as well, his head on yours, his hands on the baby. *
Harry had definitely fully stepped into daddy mode. He was always hovering over you making sure everything was okay, bringing you water or food, checking your heart rate, the babyâs heart rate, and asking about contractions. He was paranoid that he was going to miss you going into labor and delivering. He had woke up crying one night from a dream where he had missed the delivery of the baby and since then, he was glued to your side. It was very rare you had time alone to yourself like you were having right now. You rocked back and forth and smiled. It was crazy to think that 9 months ago you weren't with Harry and didn't know you were pregnant. Now? The two of you had managed to work out a lot of the original problems and your relationship was stronger than ever.Â
âThere you are.â Harry smiled. âI brought you some water.â He sat on the rocking chairs footstool and handed you a cup.Â
âThanksâ you took a sip and watched him look around. âIt looks good.â you noted.
âIt does. Think the little one will like it?â
âYeah I do..even tho the little one will be sleeping with us for the first 6 months probably..â
âReally?â he asked.
âMhm.â
âThats a long time...â
âWell yeah but the baby is going to need us a lot at first..I mean they will need fed every few hours...then need diaper changes..we aren't even going to get any sleep probably...â
âBut what about you know..us time...â
You laughed, almost spitting out a mouthful of water. âWhat about it?â
âWe cant do it with the baby there. And if the baby is there for six months..â
âWhy not?â You interrupted. âThe baby will be asleep and won't even notice or be aware of what's happening. Plus, I think it may be a bit of time  before we are ready for that again. Personally I don't want another baby right away and I know that all of these parts are going to have to heal before anything gets stuck up there.â Harryâs face twisted in confusion.
âLike how much of a break?â
You smiled and leaned forward kissing him. âI don't know Haz, but Iâm sure we will be okay.â Harry frowned. You had to give it to him, right now your sex life was kind of killing it...even though you had a massive stomach and a baby inside of you, your hormones kind of made everything better. It was the one side of pregnancy that had really boosted your morale. Although the last week had been fairly uneventful for you and Harry due to the contractions and pain you had been experiencing.
Harry suddenly stood up and held out his hands with a smirk.âI have a surprise for you.â
âA surprise?â
âMhm...â He grabbed you and helped you up, before gently pulling you out into the hallway.Â
âWhat kind of surprise?â
âYouâll see..â
âHarry...I hate surprises..â
He laughed and walked you into the kitchen. He sat his laptop on the table and grinned opening it up. âThe little one is due in a few weeks..so I figured we should probably get out of the house while we can. I rented us an airbnb for the weekend... and its beachfront.â
âReally?â you turned and looked at him with a hopeful smile. âJust us? In a beach house? All weekend?â
âYeah, no fans, no paparazzi, no family, no friends. Just us.â You smiled and kissed him over and over again. You had been craving some beach time, and some time away from everyone else. You loved your family, and Harryâs family, and Luke, but it had been a lot. Everyday someone came over to check in on you and Harry. They brought new baby stuff, enough stuff that the kids closet was already full. Your family and Harryâs family stopped by asking about the baby, how you were feeling, and to give advice. They all had their own ways of raising kids and you weren't sure you wanted to follow either exactly. You and Harry had become a little annoyed with the overwhelming surge of people in your home everyday. The only time you were alone with Harry was at night. You either slept or had sex. Not a lot of time to talk other than that. You were starting to realize how little time you had to appreciate the things you and Harry did alone. You wanted to savor every minute you could get with Harry before the baby came. You wanted to secure your relationship. The beach house would be a perfect time to just enjoy the last few days of being a couple without a kid.
âI love you.â
âI love you too. Now I already packed our bags so get in the car.â
âI have to pee...â
âOh my gosh..â
âHey its your fault you know. You put the baby in here and itâs the one pushing into my bladder every five minutes.â
Harry laughed and nodded to the bathroom. âFine. Fine. Hurry up, Iâll grab you a snack for the car.â
You smiled sweetly and winked. âHave I told you how much I appreciate you...â
Harry laughed and shook his head, âWhat do you want?â
âA sandwich...with peanut butter...and honey...and bananas...and maybe some of those mini chocolate chips..â you grinned and blew him a kiss.
âYoure lucky I love you.â
âI know...â you called while walking into the bathroom.
After peeing, you walked back into the kitchen with a groan. You had some pain and some slight contractions but nothing too serious. It was just really uncomfortable. Harry looked at you with a concerned face. âYoure not going into labor are you?â
âNo...â
âGood because the beach house is kind of far from your doctor and I was really hoping we could have some time just me and you.â
âIâll be fine. Itâs just uncomfortable being this big all the time.â You looked down, the baby had finally dropped, your stomach following with it. Your stomach was massive and made you look like you were about to give birth to twins, so there was really no comfortable way to get around or do things. âThis baby has a few more weeks left anyways.âÂ
He smiled and helped you into the car. âOkay as long as you say so.â The drive was kind of painful. You had to pee every hour, your stomach had been tightening the and contracting the whole drive, and you could not get comfortable in the seat. But, after almost 3 hours of driving and 3 bathroom breaks, you arrived at the beach house. It was beautiful, a small rental sat right on the beach with a nice patio overlooking the water. Harry dropped your bags inside and then looked over at you with a grin. âWant to go for a walk?â
You nodded sticking your hand out to him, he grabbed it, kissed your cheek and walked out to the white sand, kicking off his shoes. The two of you took your time, making your way down the beach, hand in hand. You kicked sand at him and laughed, he kicked water at you in return. You watched the birds, looked for shells and sat by the water as the sun set. âItâs beautiful.â you leaned your head on Harryâs and felt him nod.Â
âJust like you.â You nudged him and smiled. He looked over and kissed you softly, his lips lightly hovering over yours and laughed deeply. âYou are so tempting, god (y/n).â
You laughed and shook your head standing up. âCome on...I need to pee again.â
âAgain? Dear lord woman you just went like 20 minutes ago.â
âWell our child keeps kicking me in the bladder plus maybe I just want an excuse to get you inside...to bed.â you winked and turned away.
âIf you wanted to take me to bed all you had to do was ask.â Harry laughed and followed after you. âI hope after this one is born your bladder goes back to normal.â
âIt probably won't.â
âThat would be a real shame.â
âWould you still love me? Even if I have to pee every hour of the day?â
âOf course. I still love you now don't I? Plus that would just prove you gave me the best gift of all time.â
You smiled and continued on the walk back to the house. You had managed to make it to the patio door when Harry tripped walking up the stairs. You stood there laughing at him, while trying to make your way to the bathroom at the same time. All of a sudden a warm liquid made its way down your legs and onto the patio. âHarry.â
Harry shaking off his hands from falling looks down, sees the liquid and freezes. âBabe..you really couldnt wait to make it to the toilet?â
âHarry.â you repeated looking down.
Harry walked over to you and looked unsure of what to do but laughing so hard he had tears falling down his cheeks. âYou actually peed your pants. I really cant believe that.â You smacked his arm and he froze looking at you again and trying not to laugh. âDo you want like a towel or something..maybe you could just jump in the pool..â
âThis isn't pee.â
âNo. Don't pee in the pool, Iâll get you a towel just stay here.â
âHarry.â you say again more urgently. âThis isnât pee.â
He looks at you, his mouth dropping open and his face confused. âWhat?â
âMy water broke.â
âWhat?â
âMy. Water. Just. Broke.â Harry stood there trying to understand everything and you were getting frustrated that he wasn't doing anything.. âHarry Iâm about to go into labor.â Tears were in your eyes, you were so far from the hospital, you didn't have any of your things for the hospital, and you didn't even know how long you had before the baby was ready. Harry looked at you, saw the tears, and took a big deep breath.
âOkay. Okay. Calm down babe. Everything is going to be okay. Okay. What do we do? Do we drive back? Are you having the baby now? Should I call someone? Should I call a doctor? Should I call an ambulance? Should I-â Harry was talking faster than you had ever heard him talk and you could tell he was panicking.Â
âHarry. Get everything in the car. Iâm not having this baby without my doctor.â You waddled towards the car. âAnd get me a towel...in case I leak more..â Harry nodded and started moving quickly. He threw the bags in the back seat, tossed a towel in the front for you to sit on and jumped in the car. You looked over at him anxious. âStart the car.â
âI don't have the keys.â
âWhat do you mean?!â You nearly screamed. You were already holding back tears and one slid down your cheek as Harry watched. You took a deep breath, rubbed your stomach and looked over. âHarry. Go find the keys.â He jumped out, returning minutes later with the keys.Â
âFound them! They were-â
âHarry I don't care. Just drive. Please.â You were starting to have contractions. You gripped the handle in the car and groaned in pain.. Harry looked anxiously over at you, rubbing your leg with his free hand.Â
âLets go have this baby.â He said with a smile.

So kind of a random chapter but the baby is almost here! Any bets on if its a boy or girl? One part left in the Pregnancy Series :) Hope you enjoy lol xoxo

Minor Head Trauma (Part 3)
Pairing: Will Halstead x Reader
Warnings: Swearing, Drugs (misuse)
AN: Iâm not a doctor, please donât think my medical advice etc is in any way accurate. Also iâm not American and havenât been to Chicago so I apologise if my geography or depiction isnât right.Â
When an old friend of Ethan Choi showâs up in Chicago ED sheâs about to make life very uncomfortable for Will Halstead
Part One Part TwoÂ
********
Predictably, you had not been allowed to rest when youâd gotten back to the base. After giving your team a debrief of what had actually happened to you the General had then sent you straight back to regular duty. Sometimes he made you wonder whether he was more inclined to be your General or your father. You only thought about it sometimes, because if you tried too hard and really thought about it you were worried you wouldnât like the answer.
That had been a week ago, your head was pretty much fully healed, you were still getting the occasional headache but it wasnât anything that was making you suffer too greatly, you suffered much more simply from having to deal with Nolan 24 hours a day.
Rooting around in the pockets of your jeans you found a handful of change and counted it up desperate that it reached the right amount for a large mug of black coffee.
Luckily it seemed your pockets for once were deep enough to scrounge the right coins.
You pushed your way into the tiny coffee shop near the base, it was always filled to the brim with off duty service men and women. Men and women who had more sense than to risk the baseâs cafeteria.
Elbowing your way to the front of the queue and glaring at any squaddies that tried to get in your way you ordered your coffee from the overly stressed barista and then fought with another customer who insisted that the coffee youâd ordered was his instead of yours.
By the time you squeezed back out of the cafĂŠ you were once again in a miserable, pissed off mood. What you saw though in front of you shocked you right out of that mood once again.
âDr Halstead?â
âCaptain Y/L/Nâ he looked almost embarrassed.
âWhat are you doing here?â
âI was, uh, I was looking for youâ
âfor me?â
Rubbing at the back of his neck Will took a few steps towards you. âI thought Iâd check up on you, on your headâ
âMy head is fine. I told you, itâs pretty thickâ you moved out of the way of a group of squaddies coming through the doors again which put you a bit closer to Will. âHowâd you even find me?â
âOh, uh, Nolan, he had to give a phone number on your arrival to the ED. I rang him, he told me youâd probably be hereâ
âOkâ frowning you sipped at the coffee in one hand. ânext question, why?â
âWhy?â
âWhy are you ringing Nolan and turning up outside the coffee shop I go to to try and find me?â
Ok, now he really did look embarrassed. It was sort of cute, but didnât answer your question. âAre you busy? I mean, do you have to head back to the base straight away?â
âI donâtâ you did. Why were you saying you didnât? You were going to get in so much trouble for this. Will was smiling though and your brain wasnât functioning. âWhat did you have in mind Dr Halstead?â
âYou really need to call me Willâ
âYou going to stop calling me Captain?â
âMaybeâ
He was too charming for his own good, with that little half smile thing he was pulling off, hell the man was just⌠yummy. âSo, what do you want to do Will?â
âWalk with me?â It was getting to be Autumn and even though the chill was starting to settle it was still warm enough to walk without turning into an icicle. âYou look good in a uniform Captainâ
âYou didnât look bad in your own either Doctor Halsteadâ
Together you walked down the street, you werenât in the best area of Chicago and dilapidated social housing marred most of your view. Windows boarded over with chipboard and gang tags sprayed onto them. You didnât even notice though; you were focused on Will.
Being focused so much on Will was probably what made you miss it, the shadow in the alley coming up in front of you, the hand waving at you and then suddenly the whisper of your name.
âY/Nâ
Stalling beside Will you peered around him and found the frantic eyes of your informant. What the hell was he doing this side of Chicago.
âDaniel, what the hell?â you moved quickly pushing him back into the alley out of sight of any curious residents who still had glass in their windows. âWhat are you doing here?â
âI need to talk to you Y/N, real bad likeâ
The boy was shivering and trembling uncontrollably and the frantic look in his eyes filled you into the problem quite quickly. âFuck Daniel, youâre strung outâ
âPlease Y/NâŚâ
âI told youâ you snapped âno drugs, I'm not fuelling your addictionâ
âY/N?â Will, crap, heâd followed you into the alley and was looking at Daniel in concern. âHe doesnât look so goodâ
âHeâs fineâ
âY/NâŚâ
âNo drugs Daniel. It was our dealâ
âI think they were badâ he chattered out âY/N, I'm not high like usualâ
âWhat?â you werenât a doctor, you had no idea how different drugs affected the body. Really looking at him though you realised that maybe Will was right. Daniel didnât look good and youâd seen him at some pretty fucking low points. âWill?â
Will was already moving to Daniel pushing him down onto a broken packing crate, the young manâs trembling seemed to have turned almost violent now and the shivers were racking his whole body.
âWhat did you take?â
Danielâs eyes flicked off Will and back to you, not strung out enough to not be naturally nervous of a stranger he didnât know. âSpeak Daniel, heâs safeâ
âDonât knowâ you could barely understand him, he was finding it difficult to speak from the chattering of his teeth. âThey gave me a syringeâ
âYou fucking idiot, and you just took it?â
âI had no choiceâ
âY/N, we need to get him to the EDâ Will was pressing his fingers onto various parts of Daniels body, obviously looking for something.
âHow did you get here?â
âDroveâ
âLetâs go thenâ
Will got his shoulder underneath Danielâs arm and helped get the younger man back up to his feet he then rooted around in his pocket throwing his car keys at you. âI want to keep an eye on him, you driveâ Will pointed back down the street. âCarâs that wayâ
That was quite a decent distance to go in broad daylight. The last thing Daniel, or you for that matter, needed was to be seen together. âWaitâ
Pulling off your jacket you removed the top layer of your uniform, the simple khaki fleece, put the jacket back on and then shoved Danielâs skinny arms through the fleece which also had a hood thank the lord, you pulled that over Danielâs head.
Will thankfully didnât question this just held Daniel still enough for you to dress him. When you were as happy as you could be that no one would be able to recognise him you nodded at Will. âLetâs get him to hospitalâ
Will bundled Daniel into the back seat of his car getting in as well and you started up the engine. Your driving skills had been honed in a military Humvee, driving through the sand dunes of Afghan being shot at by insurgents hence it had been mentioned by your civilian friends that you were a little⌠crazy.
Your dangerous (youâd debate that label) driving meant you got back to Chicago Med in record time. Daniel was now turning a sickly yellow colour and sweat was beading his face. He really didnât look good.
Will had to practically carry him into the ED shouting for various other drugs and tox screenings while he laid Daniel down onto a trolley.
âYou idiotâ you said again, a lot less vehemence behind it though this time. âWhat was your big plan here? Wait in that alley until I randomly turned up?â
You couldnât understand a single word that Daniel said this time. Instead you took hold of his hand. âWillâs a good doctor. Heâll get you fixed up. Then me and you, weâre going to have a discussionâ
Will was back and breaking the hold you had on Danielâs hand as he moved you out of the room. âHe needs to be registered on the systemâ
âHe canât be registered Willâ
âI thought that may be the answerâ
âI'm sorryâŚâ nurses were running in and out of the cubicle that Daniel was laid in, doing the various tests that Will had ordered. âI can register myself againâ
âWhat?â
âI came back for a check up for my head. Charge me for everythingâ
âYou wouldnât need those tests for a head wound. It would be questioned why I ordered themâ
âWillâ grabbing his hand you pulled him away from the bustle of the ED and into a quieter corner. âI'm sorry, I'm so sorry youâre being involved in this but understand me when I say that Daniel can NOT be registered at this ED. For more than his own sakeâ
Will remained silent staring down at you.
âPleaseâ
âIâll bring you the forms. Fill them out for yourself⌠Y/N if thisâŚâ
âIt wonât bounce back on you. I promise I wonât let itâ
âThe general?â
âAmong other things. Just donât let him die Willâ
âYouâre going to be a problem, arenât you?â
âAlwaysâ
Before you could really compute what was happening Will had bent down, pressed his lips against yours in a kiss that seared a trail all the way through your body and then heâd disappeared again. Striding back into Daniels room, where you could hear his voice shouting out demands for even more tests.
Fuck, this was going to be all kinds of problems and you werenât even sure if it was Daniel that you were thinking about.

OK so I need to get some stuff out so I'm just gonna say everything that's on my mind at the moment feel free to scroll past but you can read this if you wanna know what goes on in my messed up head
I'm trans and there's so many statistics that worry me, like a lot. It's always going round in my head that I probably won't make it past 30 and there's a high probability I'll get sexuallly assaulted and the 41% and its just all the time and I don't know how I'll deal with it. I'm also ace so corrective r*pe is something I need to be aware of, as well as the fact that I'm a minor I'm constantly worried about how my orientation is gonna affect my life.
I think im probably not neurotypical but there's no way for me to check because when I told my mum she laughed at me and said that was just all kids but I kinda feel like an outcast (I'm aware that makes me sound like ugh I'm 14 and nobody understands me) and I feel like a side character in someone else's story. We went to the doctor once but then my mum belittled me in front of the doctor and I had to go on an anxiety thing and it never got followed up and even though I got put on an anxiety course my mum still doesn't believe I have anxiety and anyway that's not what the point was I don't think I'm nt.
On the top of anxiety I think it's getting worse because I'm having more regular panic attacks which is not good⢠but I cant do anything about it really so I just have to deal with it but it's not good while I'm excersising because then I almost pass out because I can't breathe
I'm scared my health is slowly declining
I'm scared that things won't get better in college and the same types of people will target me and I'll have to keep on internalising it and getting misgendered and asked what's in my pants and told How many genders there are and asked uncomfortable questions about sex.
I'm scared that if potential girlfriends find out things about my sexuality like that im ace they'll hate me and it'll ruin our friendship NAD things will get out that I don't want to be out
I'm scared that I come on too strong and all my friends hate me because I'm annoying
I'm scared of dying
I'm scared that one day I won't be able to stop myself from doing something stupid
I'm scared that people will notice when things are off with me and I'll be forced to talk about what's wrong with me with people that I don't trust fully
I'm scared that I'm not loved as much as my other siblings
I'm scared that I'll always be scared of things that are stupid like the dark and horror games and that people will judge me for it
I'm scared that I can never be sorry enough
I'm scared that I'm not enough
I'm scared to ask people for things even though I shouldn't be
I'm scared that people won't understand when I ask them things and they'll hate me because I worded it in a way that made sense to me but sounded rude to them
I'm scared of being forced to do things that make me feel disgusting
I'm scared that I'll never become who I want to be. I'll never get a binder or top surgery, I'll never get people to use my pronouns, I'll never look the way I want to
I'm scared people won't like me
That's all I an think of, if I think of more Ill reblog this. If you've read all that, sorry, but thanks x

heâs excited for the âlady doctorâ and iâm uh. not a huge fan of that wording
23:02 pre-sneeze noises and hand motions are Delightful

he wants to go back to japan
he canât read or edit and listen to music at the same time! me neither
someone asked what a good pet would be and phil went on a lil tangent about how itâs important to have enough time to take care of the pet you choose!! dont get an exotic pet or a breed of non-exotict pet that requires a lot of time, money, or energy to care for it if youâre not at a point in your life where u can take care of it to the best of your ability! <3
hedgehogs are one of the most common animals in the uk??? what the heck?
he canât remember whether or not heâs seen a hedgehog irl so he texts mum lester to ask <3 why is this the sweetest thing in the world . like seeing a hedgehog irl would be an experience that his family facilitated or even if he was moved out when it happened it would have been so exciting that he def would have told kath about it. so any way it happened she would know about it. my heart is Warm.
heâs not a huge summer candle burner but as soon as itâs september heâll be on the pumpkin spice train
mum lester texted back and apparently his grandparents had a family of hedgehogs in their garage and his granddad built them a little hedgehog house to hibernate in :( wow!

he feels a coffee buzz after five (5) chocolate-covered coffee beans. r u sure u even drink coffee phil????
rye bread is worse (in philâs opinion) than regular bread and is âclaggyâ. i busted out laughing and texted my mom IMMEDIATELY bca LOOOONG time ago we were at a family christmas party with my dadâs extended family and all of the Adults were playing scrabble. my mom ended up spelling claggy and everyone else was like THATS A MADE UP WORD WHAT THE FUCK!!!! and my mom was like ???? no its not? my dadâs family is from the eastern us and had never heard the word claggy before and i remember my dad giving my mom shit about it for YEARS afterward because she caused such an uproar. idk if it was a regional thing or if americans just donât say claggy but REGARDLESS. my mom and i had a good laugh over this description of rye bread and we both love phil

okay so hi im uh a smol kid on tumblr (twelve please dont judge me for being on tumblr this young) and im about to start going on birth control. no, im not having unprotected sex with guys (which would be weird because im lesbian) im going on it because ive had my period (irregular, heavy, and overly painful) i was wondering if theres any common side affects that i might get/how to deal with them if theyre bad? thank you :^)
This is so important! Birth control is not only for preventing pregnancy. It has a number of other, equally wonderful uses, the most common of which is regulating irregular and painful menstrual cycles. No judgement at all babe!
The biggest piece of advice I can give you is to give your body time to adjust. Your doctor will likely write you a prescription for a few months to give you time to try out a particular dosage of birth control and to see how you like it. You can always switch dosages if the one you start taking makes you feel uncomfortable. Because youâre âsmolâ youâll probably take one of the lowest dosages of birth control.Â
Some people experience a small weight gain from birth control (this will probably not happen to you because youâll be on a low dose) and most people experience a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. Youâll feel very deeply for the next few months, this is just your body adjusting to hormones. This is totally normal and nothing to stress about, but you will cry during Disney movies if you donât already.
Youâll also notice that your period becomes clockwork! Your first few periods may only be âspottingâ (low flow) and may only last a few days. But once your body gets regulated, you will start receiving a regular, once-a-month period that lasts about a week. Your cramps will also be much less intense, you may not even need to take an aspirin with them.
Good luck!

300+ TOP DENTAL ASSISTANT Interview Questions and Answers
DENTAL ASSISTANT Interview Questions for freshers experienced :-
1. Tell me about your organizational and administrative skills and experience? Another fact of working as a dental assistant has to do with your administrative and organizational expertise. Aside from working chair side with patients, you may also be required to greet them as they come in the door, answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, restock supplies, and more. You will need to convince the interviewer that your skills are on target with the needs of the job. For example, "I have experience with answering telephones and I have learned and implemented several methods of filing and record keeping" would be a great answer, but only if you are prepared to elaborate on that experience. 2. Will you comfortable working with children and adults? You will likely be required to work alongside a dentist, so your interviewer will ask you this question in order to gauge your comfort level. Although it is okay to express a preference for one over the other, you should be able to provide an answer that portrays your ability to work with either age group. "Although I especially love working with children and keeping them excited about good oral hygiene, I am just as comfortable working with adults" is a fantastic example answer. Although you may not be assigned to work primarily with children, your preferences will likely be noted if you are hired. 3. Which is the most important job of a dental assistant at a dental facility? While I feel that every task that a dental assistant performs is important, making patients feel comfortable is probably the most important. This is because a patient who is at ease is easy to handle. Equally important is sterilizing instruments because infection control is vital to managing dental procedures effectively. 4. Tell me briefly do you pay attention to detail? Yes I am very detail oriented. Like, when i was working within a previous job i was always told to keep my are clean. So what I would do was wipe down all cabinets with disinfectant make sure everything was in order, make sure all instruments were autoclaved and put in its original spot. I would also make sure the oplatory was set properly making sure their was nothing missing or out of order. Overall making sure the setting was perfect. 5. Can you handle criticism? "I will be able to perform to the best of my ability under any circumstance and I am always thankful for constructive criticism" is a good answer, but you should follow up with a reason why constructive criticism is helpful to you. "I am always willing to learn from my mistakes and learn better, more efficient methods of getting the job done" will suffice. 6. Can you work under constant supervision? Since you will only be allowed to perform direct patient care under the supervision of a dentist, you must be able to work while being watched and readily accept criticism. 7. Is oral health and hygiene important for you as a dental assistant? It seem's like a silly question, but your interviewer has a very good reason to ask. If you are not passionate about your own oral health and hygiene, it is unlikely that you will be able to convey the importance of oral care to your patients. You may even choose to describe your oral care practices to your interviewer so that they can better understand your methods. You might answer with "Absolutely. I make sure to brush twice a day and after meals, and I see my own dentist at least twice per year." You may also be asked to explain why oral health is so important for overall physical health, as well. 8. Described about a tough patient you had to deal with? I wouldn't say that I have had a "tough patient". I would say however I have had several circumstances in which I had to use my skills and training to figure out the needs of each patient and do my best to meet their needs to make the appointment run as smoothly as possible. That sometimes can be tough, but it is one of the challenges I enjoy most in this field, making the dental experience as pleasant as possible for the patient. 9. How will you react suppose if a patient complains that you didn't properly care for them during the last appointment? I prepare a complaint form, I would do all I could to know what it was that make the patient unsatisfied and I do my best to fix the problem before the next visit. 10. What techniques you employ to keep an office organized? Keeping a uplifting and positive attitude and use the teamwork technique. Always making sure everything is stocked and sterilized to make the day run smoothly.
