As always this isn't wrong.

The answer for Americans is vote in the primaries and get better people into the final races, while criticizing and holding politicians accountable. But for people not in the US it just doesn't affect everything the same as it does for US people.

And unfortunately for Americans voting is a harm reduction technique. Republicans can and will, and actively are, committing genocide against the trans community in the US.

It's foolish to invite MORE death, heartbreak, and genocide around the globe, so more often than not I (and other US based people) will try to encourage everyone to use the harm reduction technique of voting. We have the power to do it in the US as a tool of hopeful harm reduction (and maybe change if we scare them enough) so that's why you see those things, and unfortunately there is a very western-centric pressence online so it often dominates the main pages. Doubly so affects how people percieve the people online around them, and often assume everything is US based.
