#Oh sweet young women who want to get away and scary strangers that they romantisize only because they dream of an escape it gets me emotiona#emotional everytime#I see many people quote the dead on here and i get that#im reading through seamus deanes dead ends and he mentions a mother a lot#but id love to talk about eveline#its simple and repetitive which a lot of the dubliners short stories are but i really like it#i liked grace as well though i feel a but silly for having a hard time understading it#the religious context goes over my head#the way he discribes people really simply and sometimes in a really interesting echo of typical herotic characters is so hmmm#He really makes Dublin out to be a stasis and still stuck place#Dubliners 1914#James Joyce#Eveline
