tbh i think they created EX mode just to use two of the 2nd phase magolor designs. because like magolor soul is like so much better than the other one
#i mean the other design is still good and more in line with the first phase's design#but magolor soul makes that one feel like a bonus fight. magolor soul is like. hauntingalmost#it fits the ''this is pure corruption. the host has been hollowed out and made into littlemore than a corpse.#dare to save him after everything hes done to you. this is the fate he fooled himself into.''#motif a lot better than the first one#the washed out teals and yellows make it feel like its not magolor anymore and that the fight has become tragic for him#still havent heard or seen the true arena fight bc i wanna see for myself but i hear it makes these aspects even more painful ough#also it just looks more grand in general like just look at the opening animation with the crown silhoette#its like a small claw on the first one and in the soul fight its spiraling#im pretty sure like. soul fight is pretty much canon bc iirc in thte magolor epilogue opening#im pretty sure we see the soul crown and not the story mode crown#echoed voice
