Ash is so cool. i like to imagine in my head that shes some kind of like. extension of falon'din that was saved from dying at a very young age. but she keeps evading death, sidestepping it since. always beside so many other people dying while she stands and watches and cant fix it. but she was meant to die so it will always follow her until she does. shes lived her entire life on borrowed time, and thats only made doubly so when she gets infected with the taint.

its tragic, but then shes sooo strong in return, out of spite. you practice hard to be the best you can before you die, thats what shes done. shes barely in her twenties and destroys the blight in record time while stumbling in a husband at the same time.

she taught herself how to do blood magic and is a staunch believer in it not being dangerous as long as you are strong enough to beat back the extra demon eyes that come with it and only use your own blood or that of someone willing to give it in a desperate situation. her and merill practiced it together growing up.

she uses a bow instead of a staff because she values practicality. she watched two best friends die. one was of her own hand after an action taken out of exhausted desperation. she gets older and forgoes armor at all, partly out of a semi-suicidal lack of care for herself and partly out of confidence that nobody can touch her. shes the queen of aoe and damage.

if someones a shithead about blood magic she just ignores that they exist, because why bother trying to talk sense into someone who wont listen from the start? she leaves to seheron with sten and refuses to be a higher ranking gray warden. shes had her share of being in charge and shes done with it. she wants to find a way to cure the blight so she can hang with her silly husband for longer than their timer allows. or at least to let him live a full life after shes gone.

she has a dog that she named after her patron god. when she isnt in armor shes the kind of person to hang around in like.. ethereal flowing dresses. she has no respect for authority and would much rather do the right thing as best she can within the limitations of the physical world.

shes bisexual. shes probably nonbinary but she doesnt have time to think about that. her eyesight sucks. um. i love her. thanks
