3am thinking about animorphs and how when i was 10 yrs old it really made me think about what is mercy. Mercy isn't just not killing someone. The David trilogy is what shaped my opinion on mercy. Cassie is the pacifist that doesn't want to kill him, but she is not the one to sit there and listen to his wails as his fate becomes clear. Its Rachel. The bloodthirsty one. The only one that could stomach doing this. Because that wasnt mercy. Mercy wouldve been killing him.
