In last ask you said that Lightningfur is mute, how does this affect her mentoring Hazepaw.

Not as much as you’d think! In real life, cats are relatively nonverbal creatures that only really meow if humans are around or if they have kittens, so I don’t see much issue in LIGHTNINGFUR being able to get messages across through body language alone.

However, she does have days were she is unable to get HAZEPAW to do what she wants. This issue usually pops up whenever she tries to teach him complex battle moves since she’s already using her body to demonstrate, thus being unable to sign to him.

But, that’s when help arrives in the form of GRASSTAIL! He isn’t a mentor himself, but he is the best in the when it comes to understanding and translating LIGHTNINGFUR’s signing. I suppose this means HAZEPAW had one and a half mentors sdlkfj

By the time HAZEPAW is made a warrior, he can understand LIGHTNINGFUR’s signing extremely well- only second to GRASSTAIL. Also, he and LIGHTNINGFUR sometimes share silent conversations via signing to each other.
