5, 7, 8, 12, 18!
5: all time or just this week? im going all time..
1] hoedown - emerson, lake & palmer, trilogy
2] plastic age - the buggles, the age of plastic
3] release, release - yes, tormato
[this is via last.fm, and not counting my physical media]
7: AGGHHH THIS IS SO HARD 😭😭😭 im doin top five :>
uh uh. 5] black moon - emerson, lake & palmer. OH MY GOD this is such a great album, especially for a revival period. i haven’t fully picked it apart, so it’s a little low on this list :>
4] magical mystery tour - the beatles. what, i can’t ignore my cataclysmic hyperfixation on them in my early teens. blue jay way is the best song on the album btw
3] hot space - queen. should be higher but obviously there are better contenders. very underrated 10/10
2] love beach - emerson, lake and palmer. i can’t believe it, theres something better than love beach…
honourable mentions [because there can only be one 😔]: olias of sunhillow - jon anderson, tormato - yes, trilogy - elp, 90125 - yes, view monster - lemon demon, paul’s boutique - beastie boys, 好き好き大好き - jun togawa, sheer heart attack - queen, and going for the one - yes
and number 1 🥁🥁🥁: clockwork angels - rush. no surprise but like. thats alot of albums… i wasn’t going to name all of my honourable mentions. i listen to a LOT of music and i consider it all good unless proven otherwise
8: theres so many, but these are just off the top of my head
‘me im just a lawnmower; you can tell me by the way i walk’ [i know what i like [in your wardrobe] - genesis]
the opening and ending of awaken - yes
‘tell the moon dog, tell the march hare’ [we have heaven - yes]
‘nothing can survive in a vacuum’ [turn the page - rush]
all of taste of my love… hehe <- who said that [love beach - elp]
12: theres so many…the obvious answer would be greg lake, but really. how fun would it be to have a conversation with geddy lee? or a tea and a chat with chris squire, or keith emerson? there are so many fun and exciting characters [musicans, that is] to just talk with
[this reminds me of a dream i had where i shadowed freddie mercury and his cats around]
18: you know me, the elp nut. but i actually am beginning to grow on renaissance — not to mention my relistening of serú girán and genesis :> and omg. rick wakeman’s solo albums…
