‘Stay safe, Cheer up’ blurb event

Harrison has never been this stressed in his entire life. He knew since the beginning - and mostly through Tom’s experience - that this day would happen because of his choice of career’s path.

And today is the day.

Slowly walking along the red carpet, Harrison joins his cast’s friends to pose in front of tones of paparazzi, excited fans and interviewers screaming at him to answer a few of their questions. Acting as one of the main characters in a movie is for sure attracting a lot of attention, making your career explode in no time.

The suit neatly chosen by his stylist feels a bit uncomfortable as Harrison keeps smiling for the cameras. He acts as casual as he can but not without feeling a growing pressure in his chest, slightly squeezing his torso at times. But he has to keep his cool and deals with it anyway.

At least, he knows you are waiting for him. You are actually with his mum, Charlotte, Tom and his brothers at the entrance of the movie theatre, somehow away from some noisy paparazzi who only wants to bother you. Thinking about you actually appease him, regulating his breathing as he continues posing.

As his fellow cast’s members disperse, the dark blond knows it’s time to get some quick interviews done. So he did at least three, the interviewers being quite nice with him. Seeing he has some time left for a last one, Harrison looks through the sea of people and pick an interviewer.

The male interviewer asks similar questions as his previous colleague, not unsettling the british boy.

“Now, more about you. You’ve got quite a role in the movie, right Harrison? And a tough one, should I say! How did you manage to deal with so much mental pressure and stay healthy?”

“Oh well” starts Harrison, thinking about where to begin with, “I’d stay the crew was a great help. As you said, my character was quite tricky and hard to play, so I had a personal mental coach to help me with it. So-”

“And did your girlfriend also help you?” the interviewer interrupts excitedly.

If that isn’t straight to the point enough. All evening, Harrison wondered if he’d get this kind of questions, private questions, and there it is. As much as he did his best to keep you out of the spotlight, he knew any of his moves would be scrutinised 24/7.

But you discussed a lot together about this matter, and you clearly told Harrison to not worry too much. Well, you are an independent woman who achieved a lot by yourself, so, he quotes you “Not like some pap’s are gonna scare me, most like THEY will be the scared one in the end!”. And he couldn’t agree more with that.

So Harrison deeply breaths before answering.

“In fact, my girlfriend has been totally amazing when I was shooting for the movie - she always is anyway. We tried to keep in touch as much as possible when we couldn’t see each other, otherwise she’d just visit me on set. And that brought me so much positive energy back because since we started dating, I knew already how much of a fantastic woman she is. So caring, ready to help at all time and just lovely. She always knew the right words to tell me when I was feeling down, so I don’t know what I’d do without her now. Pretty much nothing, to be honest. She also never hesitates to kick me in the arse when I’m just being moody or stupid and-”

As Harrison keeps gushing out about you, his mood lightens up more and just thinking that you are actually here, waiting for him to arrive, overwhelms him with happiness.

right now? either vera or mabel. vera is... not Right, and not Wanted by the outside world, so she’s angry and stupid to combat it. and mabel just... loves Her Person more than anything in the world, so there’s that.

again, mabel!! she’s so fun and angry all the time and it’s so freeing to just be able to do whatever the hell you WANT with a character

Uh!! I think i use a lot of metaphor and write a lot of physical affection :’) i’m not sure if others would agree but that’s pretty basic!!

usually while listening to songs!! fr example my most recent posted fic is a lyric from ‘cop car’ by mitski because the line ‘i get mean when i’m nervous / like a bad dog’ makes me think of mabel, thus that fic came into existence.

SUMMARIES i hate summaries usually i just paste in whatever i’ve got as the first sentence.

not really? new fandom but. i got my bread and butter, dude, i don’t feel like branching out. writing’s just a hobby i’m okay at.

i don’t think so !! like some of the stuff is personal and you can’t really understand from an outside POV, but. most of it is just dorky found family stuff!

oh dear god yes... i mean. obvs river youre asking this youre aware of my aus. but i have a billion aus, theyre my favorite thing to write and ive got at least three for every fandom i’m in. i have an au for my lab rat beetlejuice au, too, which i’ll get around to writing someday.

ALL I DO IS DESCRIBE PEOPLE’S TEETH AND PHYSICAL AFFECTION. uhh i use the phrase ‘bared their teeth / had far too many teeth / smiled with too many teeth’ a lot, its because i find it the easiest descriptor for monsters and i like to write about monsters.

ohh god okay youngmabel take three. anna wears soft reds and lots of layers-- to contrast mabel, who wears a thin nightgown and has a bright green color palette. this is largely because mabel has been made to show herself to everyone who’s tried to control her (sally, aurora silver, etc) while anna hides in herself. anna specifically wears one of mónica’s old sweaters, because she can hide and protect herself with her family, while mabel cant. also i love mónica im so hype to have her in the series. mabel also repeats things in groups of threes (”hello, hello, hello, anna, hello, hello, hello”) because she’s fae. i love her. ough and i cant wait for the character development you guys rnt ready fr this dumb series

What other medium do you think your story would work well as? (film, webcomic, animated series?)

I WOULD LOVE FR IT TO BE AN ANIMATED SERIES but also it as a film would rock.... yeahhhhh

Do you reread your old works? How do you feel about them?

my xmen ones, yeah. they’re really comforting for me. i feel like i wanna give my kid self a big big hug.

you know what? its pain story time gsdfdsfsdfsd ill put em all under a read more. tws for a couple vague mentions of blood, some unsanitary kinda stuff, menstruation, brief mention of surgery (not in any detail) and some detailed descriptions of a whole lotta pain.

okay so in remembering all my pain stories, ive remembered quite a few injuries i got when i was little, that i dont really remember the pain of, i just remember that it was painful, including

falling (with extra momentum) and splitting my gum open on cobblestones

getting smashed in the face with a dodgeball

that time i got a throat infection so bad that breathing hurt and i sat in the school office for several hours before my mum picked me up

falling off monkey bars, landing on my butt and being so winded that i couldn’t speak for ten minutes

being pulled over by my nana’s dog, landing on my shoulder and yet again being winded, this time so bad that i couldn’t breathe in for about ten seconds and for those ten seconds i genuinely thought i might die

that time i got a bladder infection - i remember writhing in pain in the backseat of my mum’s car as she drove me to A&E but i don’t really actually remember the pain

the chronic stomachaches i would have that i recently realised might be connected to my possible lactose intolerance/sensitivity and the fact that i pretty much only drank milk as a child (can you guess how the bladder infection happened)

with doing pole, i constantly get covered in bruises and such and a lot of moves cause some low-level pain but that’s because of the grip - the pain is mostly due to like, the pulling on the skin and its never really more than a few bruises and some tender skin on the thighs (except for that time where i somehow tore the skin of my thigh... underneath the top layer of skin fsdsadsa). the closest i’ve gotten to a proper pole injury is falling out of a duchess onto my arse and being a little more bruised that usual, and the several times in the past couple months that i’ve smashed my head into the pole whilst doing a flying cat at full power. 

and honestly pole has done a lot for my pain threshold. it’s like, i notice the pain is there, but it doesn’t bother me because i’ve felt it so often. and its also because i know that the pain of keeping this grip is way way less than the pain that i will feel if i let go sdfsdfsdfsd i find myself with so many small bruises now that i know aren’t from pole because of the position of them but i cant think where i got them - because they’re probably from bumping into things and that pain is so small and common to me that i immediately forget about it

on the other hand i also have. really bad hips. and sometimes when im just moving, ill catch a nerve and a shot of pain will go through my entire leg and that shit hurts. ive noticed it most commonly happens if i twist when im stepping somewhere but i dont turn the leg thats planted. i was also once balancing on one leg whilst putting a sock on and my hip just. popped out. and i think it immediately went back but i couldnt properly move that leg for ten minutes and i was in a fair bit of pain

my worst pain experiences though... hoo boy. i kinda narrowed them down to three.

im afab and i have periods so of course i gotta deal with cramps every so often, and they can get pretty bad - just like, doubled over, seeking out anything warm to put on my stomach. i’d say about a 5 on the pain scale. but after my gsce exams (exams that uk kids take in year 11 which is the equivalent of sophomore year of high school. they’re the first exams you take that you get an actual qualification from) i didnt have my period for 3 months. and if im late on my period, my cramps get bad. so on the 17th august, a week before my 16th birthday, ya boy was in fucking agony and for some reason in my brain i was also vehemently against taking any painkillers. eventually my nana convinced me to take one of her morphine tablets though and i felt way better hdfgdsff

theres also the time last november when i got an ear infection. earlier that day i had had a massive nosebleed that lasted for about 20 minutes and made me feel super woozy, so along with all the shit that came with dealing with that (i had to go to A&E to get checked out) it was already a pretty rough day. and then that evening my ear started hurting real bad and it just progressively got worse, and i hardly slept that night at all. i was in pure agony by like. 1am and it lasted the entirety of the night, no matter that i took painkillers. the only reprieve i got was at one point, i was watching yt videos and an ad for headspace came on, and i listened along to the meditation thingy it was doing, but of course once the ad was over, the pain was back full force and i could do nothing but cry (so of course i started to get a headache on top of all of it). thankfully once i got to the doctors the next day and got some antibiotics, it cleared up super fast. i was also talking to darkwarf (i wont tag him so he doesnt have to read this fdsffds) and funnily enough our talks that night were what birthed his character teddy.

and then what i think is officially the worst pain ive ever been in, was the first time i got my tailbone infection. me and my mum went on a coach to a roller derby game and at the end of the day my tailbone was aching quite a bit, as if i’d bruised it. i brushed it off as just being the fact that i had sat in shitty coach seats for several hours, then uncomfortable plastic chairs for more hours, then shitty coach seats again. the next day though. ya boi was in agony again. i could not find any way to be comfortable - the closest i could get to comfort was standing. every movement of my hips was pure pain and i couldnt walk properly. the pain was so bad i just could not put one foot in front of the other and i ended up walking by essentially swiveling on each foot and keeping my hips as still as possible.  the worst part was when my mum drove me to the walk in centre - although i knew that i was going to where i would be helped, the car. oh, the car. somethign about that seat - and since this infection has recurred several times, i know it is a feature of all car seats - maybe it was the angle, or whatever, but it was pure agony to sit in. i spent the whole car ride with my arm on the car door and my other hand on the car seat, holding myself up to make it not so bad, but with every bump of the car, pain was fucken. shooting through me. it would take me like 10 full seconds to lower myself into a chair or push myself out of one.  sleeping was awful cause i sleep on my side and i turn quite a few times before i can get to sleep - and of course turning with my hips how they were was incredibly painful. im not very vocal when it comes to pain but this thing had me yelping and everything. plus the antibiotics i had to take were fucking miserable. they tasted absolutely disgusting and i had to have them 4 times a day on an empty stomach (no food 2 hours before or 1 hour after) for 2 week and it was awful. this bastard is also recurring. the last time it got super bad was funnily enough about a week after my ear infection. honestly yall. late nov-dec 2018 was the worst fucken time for my physical health. but actually! in 2020 i am hopefully getting a surgery to stop the infections once and for all! but with the way the NHS is going, honestly who fucking knows. i do know that i will hunt down and kill boris johnson if he stops me getting this surgery.

They slam the door behind them. Viktor moves from Strix’s side to barricade the door with a nearby bookcase, spilling the ruined books across the floor. Strix stumbles to the wall furthest away from the door, turning around to press his back to it and slide downwards, haltingly. Viktor joins him a moment later, copying his movements to drop down next to Strix, panting hard.

“That was my last round.” He gasps out, tossing his empty rifle to the side. He pats his chest reassuringly though. “Two ‘nades left though.”

Strix manages to dig out his pistol – he lost his sniping rifle a few hours, days ago, he’s not sure – and clicked it open. “No ammo. No flares either.” He counts. The gun too joins the other one and he gazes at it forlornly, head dipping down to rest against Viktor’s shoulder. It’s quiet, save the sound of their breathing in the room, but they know the silence is just a mask for the oncoming horde of darkness who will be crashing through their weak defences in a few minutes time.

The rest of the room offers no other weapons either. It’s been looted enough that only furniture and useless knick-knacks remain, nothing that could even hold off the darkness for long. They are wallowing in a trap of their own making. Viktor seems to notice it too, for his hands feels for Strix’s own to hold in a vice-like grip. “Think that bought them enough time?” He rasps.

Strix nods. The beings are truly of their nature, and would not be able to resist the siren call of Strix’s flare that burns just beyond the cabin’s door. They will not be pursuing the small group of survivors following the original escape route to lands yet to be touched by the darkness. Strix and Viktor have done their part. Strix just hopes that the group – Kinessa with them – follows the plan too.

For once since this nightmare started, he lets some of his paranoia go. There’s no use in staying vigil for the beings he knows will be coming soon. All that’s there is to wait for their ends. Still, Viktor is a reassuring warmth next to him, even if he privately wishes Viktor went with the survivors while he still could. But Viktor had stayed stubborn now and forever it seems, refusing to let his lover face the darkness alone. “If you’re going to buy time, then I can double it.” Viktor had said, fire burning in his eyes.

The fire is smouldering ash now, his eyes filled with a different sort of determination. Determination to face death with dignity, side-by-literal-side with Strix. Rather than despair, a strange calm overcomes Strix. He turns his face to Viktor’s. “Cigar?” He quips.

Viktor’s grin is fleeting, but warm. Luxuries like smokes had run out years ago; the jokes hadn’t. One of the things Strix treasures about their relationship. “Oh yeah, I’ll ask our friends outside if they can spare one.” Viktor replies, then sets his face seriously again, subject change imminent. “I wish we had more time.”

“Had enough to pull our heads out of our arses and realise what we had.”

“I know but...” Viktor trails off, in thought. “We didn’t even get to tie the knot.

“The lack of priests might also be another reason.”

Viktor huffs out a laugh. “Then let’s do it now.”

Strix straightens up a little more. “What?”

“Why not now? Seeing as...” Viktor gestured to the door. “Now’s better than never.”

Strix smiles slightly and says, “Is this a proposal, Vitya?”

“If you’ll have me.”

“Of course sir.” Always, and forever.

Both their heads whip around when the warm atmosphere is broken by the banging at the door. They’ve been found at last. Now filled with agency, Viktor detaches the last two grenades from his belt and holds one aloft. With his other, he holds Strix’s hand and looks at him adoringly, ignoring the screeches and roars outside their makeshift haven.

“I take you, Strix, to be my husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. Literally”

The last part makes Strix smile grimly, but he copies Viktor with the other grenade. The banging is getting louder, and now there are splinters flying off the doorway from the force of it.

“And, I take you, Viktor, to be my husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.” Strix echoes.

Wood splits. Claws and sickening red light seep through. Now, the cries for blood almost drown out Viktor’s next words.

“With this ring, I’ll marry you.” He pulls out his grenade’s pin with his teeth, dropping the live ‘nade onto his lap to hold thread the circular metal onto Strix’s ring finger.

“And with this ring, I’ll marry you.” Strix repeats him, and slides the ring onto Viktor’s own finger. He takes a moment to admire the sight of their hands clutched together, the bands shining in the deadly red glow just outside their door.

Viktor lays a hand on his cheek and leans in, eyes never leaving his, “I pronounce us husbands.”

Strix closes his eyes and kisses Viktor gently as the monsters break through the barricade. There is a split second of dreadful roaring, creatures thrashing in the doorway, the taste and softness of Viktor’s lips against his own.

Then the grenades go off.

@tailorofkings how do i tell if its rp or a fic or just a post. The tags are confusing to me. I can usually tell when it two people back and forthing the reblog or when theres a pixellated pic at the top but sometimes i cant tell Im sorry. I think i’ve reblogged rp before. I will try harder not to.

One of the first things to look for is: Is the blog you are reblogging from a Roleplay blog. Pretty much all of them say so in one way or another in their blog description. If so, it is HIGHLY likely that the posts made on that blog are in some way roleplay related.

The next thing is: If it sounds like it is written in character, if it has direct speech, if it is @-tagged for another Roleplay blog, if it is a back and forth between two character blogs IT IS ROLEPLAY.

Honestly, if you want to be safe: Don’t reblog anything story or character related from roleplay blogs.

Some of us are alright with it, but most are not. It messes with our activity and makes keeping track of threads immensely difficult, meaning the writer you like enough to want to have their writing on your blog is having a hell of a hard time DOING that writing.

At least for me it is also, that you are taking a part of a greater work entirely out of context and possibly misrepresent something for your own enjoyment and no matter what most people seem to think on this website, not everything is for them to do with as they please.

I am currently at a point with this fandom where I don’t want to roleplay anymore as a Kingsman character because of the overwhelming number of OOC/Personal blogs that give a rats arse about us roleplayers beyond satisfying their (mostly shipping) wishes. I am also very close to, without warning, block personal blogs for reblogging roleplay.
