Like was in the plans the whole Olivia & Josh drama and her leaving the show ? Sure!

Its not like they played Rini as the main characters and the main ship for 2 seasons

Bc that's its what I saw but maybe I wasn't watching the same show as them you know

Maybe they didnt see Ricky always putting Nini above Gina and not seeing to be interested in her that way

Maybe they didn't saw how since the very first episode of season 2 they were pairing EJ and Gina together

Oh I wonder what Tim must been thinking when he made EJ only to be his personal punching bag, making him lose a girl to Ricky then in season 2 show him struggling but being pushed to the side pretending it was funny or something how nobody cared about him, and how the whole Ricky and Nini thing affected him making him actually scared of opening up or even accepting his feelings for Gina bc of it and then only to have Ricky come in and pull the same stunt from season 1 (which it was totally in the plans for Rini not to be endgame)

If that was the original plan then why make a whole season building up to EJ & Gina getting together

If it was planned then it would be way more convenient to just let EJs plot in S2 be centered about college and then writing him off or maybe introducing a different love interest instead of building up to him getting together with Gina only for it to fall apart horribly in season 3

i don’t even use this app anymore but im posting these here because i have been a rina shipper since 2019 and this is all i’ve been thinking about since the episode aired. like i’ll literally kms 😭. also every portwell who says they “ruined” gina’s character this season simply doesn’t understand her 👩‍💻 and only like her when she’s with ej. she didn’t treat ej “horribly” and he’s not some innocent little baby victim, he’s GROWN. all she wanted was for him to give her the time of day and in their breakup she gave valid excuses for her breaking up with him (also she didn’t need excuses. if she wanted to breakup just to breakup she should be able to?). he’s supposed to be in a college and is starting adulthood, she’s about to be a junior in hs… like completely different stages in their lives. making gina out to be this big bad villain because she no longer wanted to be in a relationship with someone who kept making empty promises and kept letting her down is very weird. like, shipping aside this isn’t even ab rina it’s just ab y’all being weird… anyway, if you’re mad gina broke up w ej and u hate her bc of it that tells me u never cared about her AT ALL. “season 2 gina would never” yeah bc s2 gina put everyone else’s happiness over her own.

ej did have a stressful time and that’s sad but he also kept making promises to gina and kept letting her down… anyone in that situation would react like gina be FOR REAL.
