i would make much better first impressions if every social gathering of more than 3 people had to have a dog involved
#i need to be able to break away from the group and sit on the floor with a dog and make it do tricks for little bits of food#and kiss its head#and wrestle with it in the dirt#im not leaving early if theres a dog and i'll be in a better mood and i'll be more calm alert and engaged#there were 3 dogs at the boxing day gathering at the house today and i was polite and normal and present the whole time#obviously depends on the gathering but if its a boring social event a dog is a need not a want#besides our dog and my sisters bf's dog there was a new dog called bree who was also a collie and who was so gorgeous#and the sweetest quietest most good natured dog ive ever met. she loved me and we had a lot of scratching and cuddles#which goes to show that indy and barb being menaces is entirely our fault. thats all nurture#anewbrainjughead
