a poll for fans of 'carve your name into my chest' (and anyone else who likes steddie and/or hockey and/or smut)
okay. i hate to have to do this but i do need to do some explaining before we jump into the poll.
if you read fanfic, you know that "mens hockey rpf" is shockingly somehow an absolutely huge fandom.
if you've read MY fanfic, carve your name into my chest, you'll know that i wrote a steddie hockey au.
now. there have been some rumblings that a few folks have written what we are affectionately calling "'"in universe 'rpf'" - as in, they've written fics which are about the steve & eddie (& others?? ;)) from 'carve' from the perspective of a fan in those universes writing RPF. head trip? don't worry, you can read them standalone as well.
(and if this is inspiring you and you want to also do this, know that it is absolutely an open invitation that will lead to me screaming in glee in your inbox any chance I get)
SO. with these rumblings hopefully getting posted soon, so everyone can enjoy them, we're a little torn on the best way to consolidate them on ao3. i've got a poll in here with some of the options, so please vote, but also PLEASE feel free to reply if you have suggestions / other ideas / just want to get really excited about this with me. OKAY, without further ado:
note: the biggest differences between 'series' and 'collections' are: 1. you can subscribe to series but NOT collections, which is a bummer, but 2. anyone can add fics to a collection, for a series you'd need to request to be added as a coauthor, and then other coauthors have a lot of control on the series, which might be less than ideal.
#carve your name into my chest#out on the ice verse#hex isn't writing#hex asks questions#my first poll!!!#thats exciting#there is too much text in this post but im trying to lay out my options#im leaning collection but im bummed that you cant subscribe to collections#though i will obv post the hell out of all of this
