I deleted duolingo so I could update my delivery app to get delivery & now I'm stuck with the feeling of "I need to do my duolingo it's approaching midnight I'm running out of time"

But I'd been kinda sick of it for a while, just kinda keeping up with it bc of my 400+ days streak

So me needing to delete an app to get food delivered seemed like as good a reason to finally stop as any.

#speculation nation #it's for japanese lol. which i do still wanna learn #it was useful for dependably teaching me hiragana and katakana. i know those very well.#but with the layout changes and the structure changes i was losing steam with it #and i went so long just practicing hiragana and katakana that i forgot a lot from the main path #and it's SO fucking annoying to go back to old stuff. especially now that everything is so VAGUE #plus they were giving chump change xp for old lessons. makes it hard to wanna continue lol.#so imma just learn elsewhere. on my own time.#i do have two japanese books i can learn from. one on kanji and one on general learning.#those would probably be more productive than dealing with the hassle of duolingo any longer lol #im just bad at learning languages if i dont have the pressure of structure. ah well. i'll get there someday.
