Thinking about people complaining about the designs of the playable character models and wanted them to be "fixed" or changed,,,
Do y'all even know how long that would take?
#this is why they made changes to Rosaria's character model while she's still in production#because if they realise she had to have changes only after her release there's literally nothing that can be done#changing or adjusting a character model will also mean they have to alter their pre-existing animations#i keep seeing complaints about albedo and diluc (and rosaria)'s models and bruh#im hoping you guys arent serious about them making minor changes to how a character looks#even though its aesthetics they still have bones attached to individual hair strands and bangs#more bones might have to be added to the model#plus its just more of the regular model + unwrapping the model and texturing#tbh idk if they actually texture their characters by unwrapping them - maybe they just paint them on instead#either its still a lot of work#then its adding bones and weights and making sure they dont bend weirdly when animated#sure they could reuse the old bones and weights and add new ones but it doesnt mean the old animations can easily be copied onto the new on#also its a few (a lot) animations to remake for pre-existing characters#2 idles and so many normal attack animations + plunge animations and burst and gsjahdkska hell#thinking about it is overwhelming#and they all would have to have the same new model for consistency#literally all this for a few minor changes to existing characters#im not saying making changes to characters are bad however if they've already hat regular combat animations and all that#then asking for changes to the model wont even mean anything#i dont work in the game industry but being a games student i feel like i can see so many things happening should they decide to remodel#thats most likely why they made changes to rosaria - they probably discovered issues while animating her and had to remodel her#even if that's not the case i dont see how it's anyone's business#in short if you're serious about wanting the development team to make changes to existing characters in game just give up#it literally would take just as long to make a whole new character#genshin impact#kjcl talking#rant#sorry

first let me get this out of the way yeah i know q is his own person why do you need to make everything about ships its their story blah blah blah that’s a cop out and an excuse to not hold the writers accountable and you know it miss me with that shit
SO like q and alice getting back together like????? isnt THE problem for me???? yeah im upset because i think theyre terrible together and theyd be really good friends thats what i was hoping that convo was gonna be but here we are lmao MY issue is two fold
ONE it makes this season feel like a fucking waste of time. like why spend the literal ENTIRE season every interaction q and alice have going over how they are o v e r having q LITERALLY SAY HES DONE making a big deal about it showing he in love with someone else having this whole episode being about disillusionment and how bad it is only to have alice make it sound like its a good thing???? the whole point was they “worked” in s1 they arent those people and to act like either of them could still be is like???? contradictory to what the episode said and TO WHAT THEY WERE SAYING ALL SEASON like three quarters of this season was saying one thing and they just changed their minds at the end to a completely different thing and it just feels like well then what was the damn point
and TWO the one youve all been waiting for like................................... it’s not a good look fam. ive said it for years you guys the magicians likes to throw themselves parties about how diverse they and the stories they tell are but like its just surface shit yeah margo is bi do we ever actually see her with anyone but men? no. same with q outside of el. look at how many poc we have!!!!!!!!! are their storylines substantial and numerous? HARDLY. the fuck has penny done all all season outside of julia. fuck all. this isnt new. i complained about it after 305 and ill keep doing it because they wont fucking learn. this is honestly the worst kind of queerbaiting in my opinion like at least when its just subtext you dont feel like the writers are fully USING you. i feel USED. like after 405 they just talked and talked and talked about this love and how groundbreaking it was and my dumb ass finally thought they got the message that we dont want to HEAR about people being queer we need to SEE it and it needs to be serious (also add the marina thing to that list at the beginning, cool shes got a gf let me SEE them cowards) the magicians is all talk and no action when it comes to their characters that are minorities and its fucking exhausting and damaging and as much as i love this show im getting whiplash because i trust them i do i trust them for 3/4 of a season and they go and invalidate everything for what??? who even knows and i feel this way because this isnt the only time theyve done this THATS why im so upset and not hopeful because they have a track record and if i dont love all these characters more than i hate this bs id be done but..................... shes still here because i love margo oh dont get me started on that im done thanks bye
