#p#videoedit#florence pugh#florence welch#florence and the machine#florence + the machine#midsommar#ari aster#feminist#feminism#feminist film#feminist art#midsommar is not feminist but i will make it such#high as hope#im going thru a midsommar phase rn and here is why#when i watched it for the first time last halloween it hit such a strangely personal note i couldn't deal with it#and it forced me to reconcile myself to my failed relationship#not with my gf but with my ex-fiancee who was semi-ironically nicknamed (by me) bear#and with whom i had a relationship remarkably like dani's with her shitty little ph.d man#ie i was traumatized and needed their support and they didnt know what to do with me so they treated me like shit#and i let them bc i was codependent and afraid#anyway recently i discovered my ex-fiancee is obsessed with midsommar and the irony of this is so fucking funny#that ive had to reappropriate it to myself as a form of catharsis#so here you go!
