same ofc people are free to dislike or be skeptical of "reverse sonamy" but for me it seems like a misnomer or whatever lol! It's not exactly reversed, (for me) it's shorthand for sonic just being a bit more open about his affection for amy, whether it's conscious or not.

And deadass u could have amy be just as obvious as ever but sonic could be so obtuse/shy he wouldnt fully realize she likes him back lmao

Listen I know some people are iffy on the whole reverse Sonamy antics going on in speculation for the fourth movie. Some think we’re asking for him to be all goo-goo eyes and a stuttering mess over Amy and for her to be aloof about it.

But no, what I’m asking for is for sonic to be himself but lean more into him being a show off like in game canon. But also to be his movie self.

Like, sonic is himself movie wise but now with Amy in the mix hed subconsciously fix his quills more. Look to see if Amy notices a trick he did on a robots take down.

Of course Amy would probably miss these interactions cause ya know. They’re in the middle of going after Metal Sonic and whomever’s activated him, but she’s probably nursing her own crush on the instances she does catch sonic doing cool stuff.

Maybe it’s when sonic isn’t looking for her reaction. Sonic, obviously, being himself and maybe by the end of the movie they come to an understanding of the crush they have over one another but think the other doesn’t know.

Will the movie focus on a crush for one or both of them? I wholeheartedly think they will.

Will there be an active confession?? Probably not, since SEGA is an ass over such stuff. But I don’t doubt that the movie could be an opening into them making Sonic more open (than he already is rn) to Amy and his own feelings
