okay. so i am thinking, have been thinking. n this is the simplest i can think to get to it. so mayb. if there was a line of dogs tht was like. composed of….. like. some greyhound, flat coated retriever, great dane, n mayb…american bulldog? mix those genes all around until u get something that is. biggish. with decent health. just like overall fairly easy temperament & exercise reqs. lastly && most importantly.. ….a short single coat. this is the main goal, short n single

then. there will be a second line also. composed of…. of maybe.. corso and tosa inu and maybe presa genes? boerboel? bully kutta if u could get em? & to whatever good lgd are available, probly mostly anatolians n working pyr if this hypothetical takes place in america? then stir them up together in a big pot to get a solid short double coated farm-y guardian mutt

could hypothetically. maybe use these to make some nice medium energy, fairly trainable for dog-beginners but still more aloof, tinged toward guardian temperament “breed” with a short single coat bc…. there is just a lot of fur. longish medium double is a lot. it seems like SO just in case anyone wanted to dedicate their life toward a dog w my exact specifications. & u may be thinking “des what is the utility of a guardian breed whose coat wouldnt allow it to live full time outdoors?” well. not much utility probly. i dont need it to live out there, mines a pet. it wouldnt be very useful i imagine, thats why they dont fuckin exist in any form as far as i can tell. all the group 2 breeds have double coats, it’s inescapable. im not saying i made up a useful breed its just the one i want to exist

anyway post brought 2 u by ummm i saw the first snow of the season recently & pups winter undercoat feels so dense n thick im intimidated for the coat blow already & i have been inventing a fictional short single coated guardian-esque breed in my head to cope

#speak #im fine w the medium guardy temperment my dude has but like if i wasnt #theres not a ton of breeds who r so down to ignore strangers #Particularly not one w a short coat and def not w a single coat #like dudes coat is SO efficient mud just falls right off but so does. water #the water im tryin to wash him w #it takes so much water to penetrate his undercoat and long to dry too #now. if this imaginary breeder has access to other lgd w more coat color then…they should use raferio de alentejo and cao #anyway i plan to get more cao eventually but i could make fuckibg yarn w this man #brush the bully mutt theres a small pile of hair brush mans out theres a fuckin doggy homunculous at the end #what it really comes down to for me is anatolians r almost always tan and cao are gonna have a docked tail which i would not prefer #a Des Hound would come in whatever (solid black or tanpoint ideally lbr) but also have no intrinsic dewclaw or tail removal #the ears idk thats at the discretion of whoever produced the dog i like both ways n no bone or Spine is being severed so #on one hand it’s convenient n an iconic Look on the other flopsy is soo gd cute #anyway i wouldve just used labs in the first but ig labs are or can be double coated? idk #n maybe bull arab in there but i heard theyre energetic and i Dont Want That #n r double coated anyway so like
