what are you gonna do now that soap2day is gone? you are gonna find yourself another free site to watch things on, thats what. *how* are yall gonna do that? im gonna tell you, **as long as you have an adblocker** (if you use firefox there are a bunch of good ones ive used but currently i recommend adblocker ultimate)

1. google "watch [movie/show] for free online". a list of sites will come up. some are illegal streaming sites. some are not. you figure out which is which mostly by clicking on them

2. if nothing useful comes up, scroll to the bottom of the page. check page 2 of google search results

3. if *that* doesnt work, scroll back to the bottom of page 1. therell probably be some bs disclaimer about them removing search results because of copyright claims, and itll provide a list of the complaints. click on one of these complaints

4. after being taken to the complaint page, scroll down to where it says "allegedly infringing urls" and copy+paste those urls, one by one, to see if any work. in all likelihood one or two will but most wont. rinse and repeat with each "complaint" link until you find one that works and doesnt seem likely to take control of your computer or something

5. when youve found a site, dont go blasting its name all over the internet, for the same reason im not just *telling* you the sites *i* use. yeah, share it with your friends and family, but you dont want to draw more attention to it. this might just be me being a bit paranoid but whatever

Anyways, im bored so below is just me rambling about my tmnt fan iteration

If ur gonna read it, be warned, it’s long 💀 i tend to yap alot. I’ll make a clearer post once i figure everything out lmao

I guess i’ll start by explaining the background of it all

Baxter stockman found a crystal near an alien crash site and he found it super pretty, he wanted to give it to april’s mom, who he fancied. At the time, he didnt think much of it. He just thought it was a regular pretty crystal that was probably formed because of the crash impact or something.

(Little comic about this) As baxter gives the crystal necklace to april for her to give to her mom, april ends up giving it to Leo instead because april doesnt like her mom and refuses to give any gifts to her. Leo wears the crystal necklace in gratitude for April and on that night, leo had something happen to him. It’s like something from the necklace is taking over his body. That something is basically the crystal’s energy getting embedded to his body, this includes a hologram being (like an AI i guess) that is part of that crystal

This hologram being is what u call a Chronix. Chronixes are blue hologram AI beings that usually take a dragon-like form. Chronix doesnt immediately show itself to Leo, as just like any other virtual assistant, it only shows up when needed. When the crystal’s energy was embedded to Leo, he just thought that it was somehow Donnie’s mischievous doing. Maybe he was experimenting with things and Leo got caught in the way. Leo quickly dismissed it and went on with his day after Donnie gives Leo a device that would help tame the energy surge.

One day, a bunch of utroms have been spotted roaming around the town. While April was still sleeping, an utrom managed to get into april’s place through an open window and climbed onto leo, causing him to freak out and accidentally spawn a holographic whip that would break April’s shelf of her beloved figurines. Leo begged Donnie to fix everything and he also tells Donnie that the device he gave isnt working. Donnie agreed to fix the issues and he tells Raph to distract April, and Mikey to help clean up the mess a bit. While Donnie is fixing up his device, Leo is sitting alone in his room, wondering what actually is happening to him.

Prompted by Leo’s question about what’s happening, Chronix appears and tells him that the energy surges he’s getting are because he’s not used to it yet. His body is not trained enough to be a container for the energy nor to gain better control of what he spawns. Chronix explains further about what it is and where it came from: The utroms have a very advanced living condition and what keeps their conditions alive is a sun crystal that powers everything in their planet. It is linked to everything there and it casts virtual assistants to serve the utroms. As they were fleeing their planet that’s about to be taken over by shredder, the utroms took the big crystal with them as its huge energy source is believed to be able to form a new world and Shredder will have his own loyal army. When the utroms fled with the crystal, they crashed to earth, causing the crystal to shatter to multiple pieces. Those who came to check out the crash site notice these crystal fragments and take them, either its for collection, or for profit purposes, or for research, whatever. Ppl just like shiny things. The utroms are trying to gather all the pieces to form the crystal whole again to restore their home planet, while shredder, and other alien invaders, are also actively trying to seek out for this crystal for power.

As Leo is one of those who is in possession of the crystal, he is now a target, hence why an utrom climbed up onto him that morning. Now knowing that he’s not supposed to be in possession of the crystal, he tries to take off the necklace but he is now bonded with the crystal so he physically can’t take it off. The crystals dont have the same effects on other living things tho. I'll tell why eventually in future posts.

To avoid any more accidents, he asks for chronix’s guidance on how to make his body stronger to contain and be more in control. Chronix tells him that he just needs to train n stuff. For better guidance, he tells his brothers. And then april, who then mentions that there’s a dojo nearby and thats where they meet casey jones and his grandpa who owns a pet rat, Splinter, who shortly gets in contact with an utrom and gets mutated. Also the grandpa’s pretty old so he passes away not very long after. Casey is still too young to continue his legacy, but splinter is now an old wise rat who knows of the grandpa’s techniques. So splinter takes the sensei role to initially train only leo and casey, but the other turtles and april also wanted to join in just to have something to do

Hiya! I found your blog through your neocities website! I was wondering if there’s any tips or things you read/watched that help you make your site. (Im heavily considering making one of my own neocities site it just seems fun)

hihi welcome !! i have quite a few pieces of advice, but the tldr is you should come up with an idea for what you want to make beforehand, and look up how to do each piece! your knowledge will start to fill in along the way :]

(this is probably gonna be long as hell so under the cut is all of the fun stuff /silly)

the way i personally started off was by sketching out what i wanted my site to look like! if you know what you want before you begin, you'll know where to look to figure out what you need to do. html+ css are extremely easy languages to read/write once you know what to look for!

^ this was the original sketch for my site, where i planned out everything i wanted to include. it's a bit different from what actually ended up on the site, but that's alright! it's just about having an outline to work from. i think of it like outlining before you write, it feels like such a pain in the ass because u just wanna start working NOW but u will thank yourself later for taking the time to plan.

once you know what you want to make, start looking for tutorials and resources to make it easier! the grid for my homepage and some of my other subpages was made using a css grid generator, since its one of the more confusing bits of css. you can make grids without it, but its a very easy way to make a more asymmetrical design if ur using the generator!

thats linked here, it gives you some css to put in your head or css sheet, and then the html for the different boxes to slap in your main document. it can be easier to understand what itll look like if you give each one a border while you work, even if its just temporary!

when looking for information about css and html, w3schools is your best friend. its a pretty comprehensive database of every little piece of html + css you could ever need, with examples you can play with yourself to understand what each variable does! it's been a lifesaver for me, ive watched basically zero video tutorials because everything on there is explained so well and you can find basically Anything.

they even have code snippets for things that take more than one or two lines of code, which you can use and adapt yourself! (the tooltips on the official art + my art sections on the hinata shrine were adapted from a tutorial on there!)

in general, having a plan and working from there will make ur life so much easier. the pages that ive sketched out beforehand or ive had a very clear vision for have been WAYY easier to code than the ones i tried to come up with on the fly, and ive been much happier with how they've turned out as well. though i do also have some smaller, rapidfire tips as well that ill go thru now!!

— inline css (the style="" tag) seems so so useful but really should only be used when you're resizing images like buttons. when u keep all of your css in the head or in a seperate document, its way easier to debug and read later. i cleaned up my homepage recently by removing all of the inline css and looking at the code stresses me out WAY less because i can actually read it LOLOL ... plus cutting the css out and putting it in its own document made me realize that id accidentally wrote some really weird code in some places

— this is very much 'do as i say, not as i do,' but use an external editor (like visual studio code) instead of editing live on neocities! you can set up a live preview, and generally wont be pushing out 100 updates every single time you change or add something. i tend to code directly on neocities but its a bad habit and i want to break it eventually v_v

— if you really like an effect someone else has on their site, you can peek using inspect element i promise the coding police won't get you !! dont steal code line for line, but you can figure out what theyre doing and put your own spin on it. things like border images can be really cool, and i only figured out about them because i looked at what someone else was doing and figured out how to adapt it for my own site! check linkbooks and credit sections as well, a lot of people will include links to any effect they didnt make themself or got help with. (including me! the credits section of the linkbook has a ton of little things i got from other places, including a really neat little music player, the rss feed for my status cafe, and the wobbly text on the homepage!)

— most stuff in html and css basically just... says what it does in the tag. so looking stuff up for it is extremely easy! if you've used carrd before you honestly probably already know more abt html than u'd think just intuitively. when ur adjusting the margins or padding in carrd, you're adjusting the margin: and padding: properties in the css of the website it's outputting!

this is getting way too long but!! my best advice is to just get started. you'll never be able to learn without trying, and it genuinely is so fun to have something that's truly your own!

(if u have any specific questions im happy to answer anytime as well! i love talking abt neocities, its a super fun hobby and way easier to pick up than u would think!)

I was just going through a bunch of my stuff from 2 yrs ago and remembered that I started reading your stuff around then! unfortunately, that was around the same time a bunch of crazy stuff happened, and my depression started. I started thinking about all the stuff I was reading from you, and it reminded me of how much you've gotten me through!

I remember how exciting it would be to come home from school on Tuesdays, knowing that another chapter would be waiting for me. when you went on hiatus, I marked the first Tuesday of every month in my planner and calenders, just so that I wouldn't forget to read whatever you had out when I got home. i would reread your works when I was having a bad day, I would even read them in school. I remember I had a document of some of my favorite works so I could read them in school since almost every website was blocked back then.

you also got me into writing! i don't write much anymore, but when I did, I would do it a bunch. I would stay up late writing and coming up with new stories and dialect. my older sibling even thought I should try to get one of them published! writing got me through some tough times, too, and helped me when I was down. I don't know if I ever would've started writing if it wasn't for you. you inspired me so much. thank you.

the first fan fiction I ever read was on this platform. I read a few, and some of them I quit halfway through. It was kinda getting to the point where I was gonna stop reading fan fiction altogethe. then I found your superhero au. at the time, only the first chapter was out. I didn't know how to navigate this site much at that point, but I did everything in my power to see if you had any follow-up works. I think thats when I created this account (my first one), just so I could follow you. you're the first person I've ever followed here. I figured out your posting on Tuesdays at five (for me) schedule and read all of the time. you definitely peaked my reading time. I don't know if I'll ever read as much as I did then ever again.

because you got me so into fanfics, you also introduced me to the ao3, just by having your link in your description. I started using the ao3 then because it was way easier to find fics there than here. it was through the ao3 that I met my best friend. they're the only person who has fully respected me and cared about me. without you I wouldn't have that. without you I don't think I'd have anyone right now. thank you.

one tuesday, I didn't have the time to read one of your works. I was pretty upset at the time, but it worked out perfectly. the day after was probably the hardest day of my life. I was so lucky to have just that one new chapter to get me to the end that horrible event. i cant even come up with words to describe how much you helped me through that day. thank you.

what I'm trying to say here is that you've done so. much. for me. you've gotten me through so many hard times and made so many connections for me. everyone has that one thing: a show, a movie, a book, an influencer, that they turn to when things are looking rough. something that can't hurt them or betray them, like anything they see in real life, in person. for me, that was you and your stories. you were my idle. and although I'm in a new chapter of my life, you and your works still hold a very special place near and dear to my heart that will never go away. so im looking back at an interactive story thing i made a while ago on my other site. mystery based thing w/ a bunch of hidden notes & stuff since i figured out how to make links invisible

decided to use poems for a couple clues instead of ciphered/encrypted messages

the players didn't notice the acrostic message in one, but they did notice that i did a dumb and rhymed enough with enough in a couple lines.

so ive been thinking about a post i saw about social media addiction and how it will literally make your brain rot away chasing validation and connection through these apps and have come to the decision that i am going to severely limit my social media consumption from now on.

ive lost so much to the time ive spent scrolling these sites trying to fond something that it could never give to me in the first place. I dont believe in the grind mindset therefore im bot going to post or work nearly as hard as the rest of my artist peers to stay relevant in this environment and im not going to allow that to fuck up my mentality any more bc of it.

Coupled with the revelation that ive been suffering from BPD for years now and currently am trying to get a proper diagnosis in addition to medication to try and tale back what little of my life i have left ive realized that life is too short to spend on reading tepid ass takes on stupid arguments that have no merit whatsoever, rage bait articles, purity politics, guilt tripping posts and grown ass adults taking WAY too much time to argue and attempt to prove their superiority to teenagers.

im not sure what im going to do specifically going forward from here, i may just stick with Cara and Discord since they provide more control to what im being exposed to (somewhat, and thats provided Cara survives its first winter so to speak). Or maybe ill just abandoned the blog entirely. I still havent figured out that angle yet.

mutuals know where else to find me, and ill update the links in this post and pin it to my blog in the event that people want to keep in touch, but yeah i think me and social media need to take a LOOONG break away from one another for the time being.

Tumblr made that big long post and a lot of people are angry reacting to some like surprisingly reasonable suggestions that solve widespread long time  complaints

i dont know how they plan to solve everything just yet but as someone who knows some things about the industry and jargon here are my 2 cents

Principle 1: Expand the ways new users can discover and sign up for Tumblr

in an age where most social media sites are making it aesoteric and difficult to share posts offsite /app tumblr is considering making it easier to do

yall do you know how hard it is to link a long tumblr post with like a comic or funny string of replies to share with my friends who arent on tumblr? i have to take like 15 screenshots every time. IF staff is priorizing making it easier to share posts that would be so much better oh my god 2 High quality content on launch.  the pessamistic assumption is that this could mean a mandatory algorithm but if you read carefully you’ll notice they never fully say thats even remotely what they are going to do. This seems to be a suggestion that the default new user experience will change. 

If you like me made an account 10 years ago this looks like it won’t affect your experience whatsoever. 

but like trying to sort through tags to find blogs and curate my own feed actively took like over a year to get to a place where i’m happy when i did it in 2011/2012

if feeds and tags Worked that would be good. the for you page and exploration features on tumblr do, admittedly suck right now. there SHould be easier ways to find and search for stuff on tumblr. if their search worked better and finding stuff you wanted to see was easier that Would improve the experience for most people on this site.  3. facilitate easier user participation in conversations folks if replys could be threaded in some way it would be 1000 times easeir to have convos with them. like i do not get what people are upset about here. like a person shouldn’t have to reblog their own post 15 times in a row to reply to different people about the same thing. they could make this so much better.  4. Retain and grow our creator base

 it IS hard for art to see and get seen. if i had a nickle for every time i saw a post begging people to reblog art i’d have like so many nickles.  I would like to see more art. and ttrpg creators. there’s like stuff i have to go to twitter for and its small time ttrpg, art, writing, and literary magazines because even when those folks are on tumblr its extraordinarily difficult to find them with the systems currently in place.

 like i don’t know that tumblr has a good plan to make this kind of thing easier but if they did figure it out it would rule. and its good to know that this is a priority for the company 5.  Create patterns that encourage users to keep returning to Tumblr

throttling notifications rules. i have commented on tumblr staff posts dozens of times for like 5+ years asking for this, thank GOD. if you reblog a lot of posts you get a lot of notes even if you have like 15 people regularly interacting with your stuff on 100 posts a day thats like 1500 notifications. it collapses some by post or interaction type but that is NOT enough and the notification bar always says 99+ unless i checked it less than a minute ago, im dying please make notifications meaningful and not overwhelming. 

6: Performance, stability and quality

this is generic and means very little obviously anyone making an app wants it to crash less often.  bonus: ive seen people get upset at the implication that they are instituting a mandatory algorithm but the site has had an option algorithm for like ages, it doesn't imply its mandatory anywhere or that they're taking away our option to turn it off. there are already artist showcase things on the dash on the regular, if you have adblock on you can’t see some of those, but they've had them for fully years. 

its highly unlikely that they would get rid of one of the main selling points of tumblr.com they’re like a real company thats done bare minimum market research, like folks no one other than musk would do something that boneheaded

Theres a few sources I read up on before we started. We technically haven't started this one yet but we've been doing the rp for lore. Rn were running through Lost Mine of Phandelver since hes brand new to dnd.

Best thing I've found is making a sidekick for him. They have special rulings and classes. Ill link the article below. For his sorcerer, I made a warrior sidekick (basically just a tank type). It helps make up where his pc is lacking like a normal party would.

Then you definitely have to scale the encounters down. You can still get really cool encounter that feel like they have an impact. For example in LMoP (spoilers ahead)

The first encounter is a goblin ambush. Originally theres 4 goblins attacking them. 2 sticking back to shoot and 2 melee. Instead I knocked it down to just two; one shooting, one melee. Then I test ran it with his pc and the sidekick. Theres a site ill also link below where you can calculate the difficulty based on amount of party members, the CR of the enemies, and the amount of enemies. Heavillllyy suggest testing it physically and/or testing it with the site. If things end up going sideways then, thats just a part of dnd in my eyes. We figure it out from there lol.

Avoiding combat entirely is also always a great option. Encourage them to think out of the box, maybe sneak around, negotiate, bribery. Having that work around can really help with the tricky combat scaling.

Im pretty scatterbrained with this lol, but another thing is, if you dont have anything planned, the pacings slowing down, or either of your attentions just arent there, you can stop at any point! Theres no obligation to run for the 2-5 hours like a fully party session. You can pick back up whenever you and your partner want!! So if yall derail and you arent planned for it, you can always take a break and pick back up whenever youre both ready. Your partner has a tough decision and needs some time to think it over? They can take a break and pick it back up when yall are ready! Its really nice for us since were both neurospicy and stuff like that happens all the time.

hey!!

just gotta say thanks for everything u do for the fandoms! having such a good, clear wiki is so useful when looking for references and so i thouhgt i would try to make my own wiki for a different fandom but theres just one thing i cannot find out how to do. i might be being so stupid right now so forgive me.

above each gallery photo, when you click on it, it says 'added by [user], posted in [production] [character] [actor]'. ive tried so hard to figure out how to do this but to no avail. ive added the pictures to the pages i need them in but they dont have the bit that says 'posted in [___]'. ive added the picutres to category pages thinking that would work, and it does make a category for the picutres but i cant get them to show up on all the pages i want them to. i just want the images to link to all the pages needed, but not as a caption below the gallery, if that makes sense?

im not sure if youre the right person to ask this to, so dont feel obligated to answer but thank you nonetheless! :o)

Hey! Wikis are such a learning curve, ugh there's still stuff I really struggle with - I edited a template successfully and that was a big victory! :P

Are you building your wiki on fandom.com? There's slight differences in how the wiki software works on different sites, and that can trip you up.

I'm not quite sure what's going wrong with your images - are they showing up in the gallery on the page you want them to? Categories are great for finding the images behind the scenes but I don't think that's the problem you're hitting.

The best advice I can give is always use the source editor! It gives you way more control, and for me (I'm dyslexic) the fact it's colour-coded is enormously helpful.

Use a sandbox as a scrap book, you should be able to make a personal one by making a new page (username)/Sandbox. Look at the code on other wikis - go to source editor as if you're editing the page then just don't save :D Just compare what the working one on another wiki looks like to yours. Little things like spaces at the beginning of lines can mess things up! But things that are infobox or template won't always copy across to your wiki - you need to add the templates to your own wiki and that's where I get lost! But the basic code is all standard, and looking at the code itself lets you control what's going where.

My stupid guide to getting the stupid list of people YOU FOLLOW on tumblr

if tumblr has some way fo getting a list of usernames and urls of blogs you follow i don't know of it, if theres some script i don't know it, if theres anything. LET ME KNOW. but since i dont think there is welcome to my bruteforce method of getting a list of people you follow.

I am not a coder, i don't know how to do this with a program, and i dont know of any program that does it, no programmer thats going to or anything so im bruteforcing this in perhaps a stupid way but it works

go to your https://www.tumblr.com/following page

its just this same link, it takes you to the list of everyone you follow Then you need to load EVERY FOLLOWER by scrolling ALLL THE WAY DOWN the list, i have 2000 blogs i follow but ti doesnt take long for me to get to the end, yes you have to do this.

rightclick and select inspect

a box will come up, this might be scary for non techy people, don't worry were just looking at the code underneath the site, nothing you change will be permanent. dont mess around here unless you know kinda what youre doing, but dont be scared for what were gonna do.

there are several tabs to this new window, we want to be in the inspector tab, and when you mouse over the text in here you can notice that it flashes certain parts of tumblr. these different lines all pertain to certain spots of the webpage so you can see what tumblr wants you to see.

we want to find where they put the followers

so were gonna hover over:

and notice that the very center and only the center where you're followers are shown is lit up, that means inside this line somewhere is your follower list ((its not gonna be pretty)) use the little arrow on the side of this line and click it to expand the underlying code (this is really called nesting i think im not a coder, basically when there an arrow, theres stuff in there)

open the next arrow too (main something something)

keep hovering over the lines within this one and see which one lights up the center and only open that one, next one is "section something something" next class something something

now this might start to look familliar to you if you read all these "data-cell-id=" lines these are all the people you follows usernames,

I'm sure someone who knows how to code would be able to grab this in a neat way and put it in a text document for us, but i dont know how to do that i just know i want it.

so what i do is:

right click the line whose arrow we just opened to be able to see this and select "copy, inner html" this line to be clear

and i make a new notepad document(txt) on my computer, and i paste all that shit in there. and yes it looks like complete nonsense because everything is going everywhere with text you dont need or understand. dont worry about it. you still have all your list of following usernames in there.

now i used vs code(or visual studio code) (its a free program you can just get it if you want use google) and you dont even need to know any coding for this cleaning step. to clean this up, i open the document i created with all this shit in it in vs code and it has the capability to select every instance of a word or symbol or whatever and delete every single one, or replace it. it can also write with multiple cursors at the end of every line of text at the same time. so this way i can get rid of all this nonsense stuff to line up everyones usernames the way i'd like.

you can use google to figure out how to do this, or fuff about in vs code, but selecting a chunk and right clicking and choosing "change all occurrences" is what i used the most.

now if someone who actually codes could… help.. help me please.. dont let anyone else have to use this guide, there has to be a better way. thank you i love you

wait im looking for a site i went to as a kid that was a gundam wing site with a particular chibi art style and was obsessed with hating on relena, i mean obsessed, there were even like choose your own adventure game things with just tons of different methods to gruesomely murder her. but i spent a lot of time on it as a kid. so i wanted to find it. but all i had to go on was the art style. so i've just been looking around various links pages on various gundam wing fansites archived on the wayback machine

oh. ohhh that art style. this is fucking it. and i found it by recognizing a 9/11 tribute. there's even an html code you can put on your own website to show your support for the troops

why did i find this so riveting when i was like 9. i think i had watched 2 episodes of gundam wing when i became obsessed with this. like i barely watched the show but i loved exploring the fan sites. and clicking past the "you must be 18 to enter" warnings. also
