your hands fumbled with the credit card in your hands as you struggled to swipe it. you pulled the brim of your hat down further, making sure your face was clearly not visible to the cashier as you finished paying. after the pin pad sounded the ding of approval, you grabbed the plastic bag and made your way outside.

the black of night caused you to blend in perfectly with the shadows. despite the alcohol in your system, you felt more sober than you did intoxicated. 

yunjin’s phone call drained any alcohol in your system, and rightfully so, considering the contents of it. the other girl had mentioned how chaewon was panicking, but she was mortified to take any test. she feared the worst, but even her members knew that she needed to in order to know for sure.

which was why you promised yunjin to bring a few tests over for her, since chaewon was so scared of anyone leaking photos of any of her members with a pregnancy test in hand. 

as your shoes hit against the pavement at a brisk pace, you couldn’t help but wonder how yunjin was feeling right now. not only was chaewon definitely a mess, but yunjin also was probably just as much of a mess considering her feelings for the leader.

from what yunjin had also told you, chaewon’s boyfriend was also the main reason she was in this situation. apparently, it was forced consensual intercourse without protection, and even though chaewon had recently just started birth control, there was just one major problem.

no one had told chaewon that she had to be on the pill for at least a week before it could protect against pregnancy. as a result, she took it only once, and immediately had sex after, thus increasing the chances of her being pregnant astronomically. 

at first, chaewon had not thought much of it when she missed her period, but then when she starting feeling nauseous and having frequent mood swings, she knew something was wrong. one week turned into two, and now at almost three weeks later, chaewon was full on panicking.

once you arrived at the door to the le sserafim dorm, yunjin had opened it and pulled you inside before you could even knock.

“thank you for doing this, y/n.” she said gratefully, taking the bag from your hands. 

“does she know i’m here?” you whispered, heart softening at the sounds of the fearless leader sobbing in her bathroom. they were loud enough for you to hear from the living room.

yunjin nodded swiftly, “yes. she feels really bad about it, though. she feels like she’s being a burden.” she whispered the last part as a head poked out from the hallway. 

“oh, y/n thank god.” kazuha shot you a grateful smile before making her way over to the two of you. 

“it’s no problem, really.” you motioned towards the bag yunjin held. “there’s like 8 of them in there, i grabbed two of each one that was available.” 

when you had told yujin that you needed to run to see yunjin, she only gave you a side eye and told you to “be careful” on your way back. you would have tried to argue that it wasn’t what she was thinking, but you knew that you needed to run this errand for yunjin as soon as possible.

“this is more than enough, but thank you, really.” yujin said, earning a swift nod from the former ballerina beside her. “im going to kill him, zuhua.” the american added with a scowl on her face.

kazuhua mirrored the look of anger as she nodded before speaking. “i’ll help you, that fucker deserves it.”

“if you don’t mind me asking,” you lowered your voice a few octaves. “who is her boyfriend anyway?”

yunjin scoffed and rolled her eyes, ignoring the way her mind raced with images of him laying six feet under ground. “that stupid SM fuckface, jaemin.”

your eyes widened at the revelation. you had only met jaemin on a few occasions when you visited SM to see seulgi or aeri. however, you knew there was always something off about him, but you never expected him to be capable of such atrocious behavior. 

“we should give these to chaewon, now. but wow, i would have never guessed.” you mentioned as you walked with yunjin and kazuha back towards their leader’s bedroom. 

when the bathroom became visible in your line of sight, you couldn't help but feel your heart break at the distraught idol. chaewon’s small frame was hunched over the sink, tears falling down her face with streaks of black mascara as sakura rubbed her back in a comforting manner. 

“hi chaewon, unnie.” you said softly, watching as she looked up at the sound of your voice. 

she whimpered as yunjin handed her one of the tests. eunchae looked through the rest of the bag and decided to be in charge of organizing the tests. the youngest member of the group was not aware of the extend of how bad this was, but sakura had done her best to try and explain that it was very bad.

“who do you want to be here with you, unnie?” kazuha asked their leader, wanting to not overwhelm her with too many people in the room with her. 

chaewon let out another sob. she felt truly lost, and mostly scared, but she knew that out of all the girls present, she wanted the girl she trusted the most, the girl she had been through everything with, to be in that bathroom with her while she took that test. 

“sakura.” she whimpered softly, her voice hoarse from the screaming and crying she had done. you saw the pained look on yunjin’s face as she stepped out of the room, following close behind her other members.

it was understandable, truly. chaewon and sakura had been through many things together, but the american wanted to be in that room with her too. she cared for chaewon, and she hated the thought of how panicked she must feel about the entire thing. her boyfriend was a piece of shit, and even though yunjin always hated him, she now had an even bigger reason to hate him.

the main thought in your mind was texting aeri to see if she knew anything about it. and that is exactly what you did. you shot the rapper a quick "are u up rn?" text before slipping it onto the table.

you took a seat next to yunjin on the couch, seeing the overly worried expression on her face. she was worried about chaewon, but also worried for the sake of the members. they were all like family, and this was all especially hard on their youngest member.

yunjin felt like her world was caving in, and there was nothing she could do to stop it.

“she’s going to be okay, jen.” you mumbled, rubbing her shoulders in a comforting manner. the look of turmoil was evident in her eyes as well, but you knew that yunjin was a tough girl, so for her to feel so conflicted, it only magnified the intensity of everything.

“i know,” she sighed as she looked at you. “thank you for being here, though.”

you flashed her a smile, and even though you didn’t know it, it made yunjin feel like everything was going to be okay in the end. you had that effect on people, but she liked that about you. you were never afraid to help people, even those who weren’t the closest to you.

“always, jen.” she mirrored your smile at your comforting demeanor. “i think she should definitely break up with him, though.” you added.

at the mention of the infamous boyfriend, jennifer’s smile turned into a frown. she truly wanted to rip the NCT member to shreds. even though chaewon didn't necessarily reciprocate her feelings, it still didn’t give the other man any right to harm her. yunjin would never hurt chaewon. 

but yunjin would also never hurt you. at least, not intentionally. 

“y/n?” sakura called your name from the hallway, her head peeking out from the side. you turned to face yunjin, flashing her a small smile. “i’ll be right back.”

you rose from your position on the couch, leaving your phone on the table before making your way across the room to the older idols.

as you went over to sakura, you got a small glimpse of the girl with short hair and tear stained cheeks. chaewon looked like an absolute wreck, but you knew that if you were in her shoes, you would look just the same. you couldn’t fathom the emotions running through her, especially after taking just the first test. 

“chaewon doesn’t want any of us to see it. she wants you to look at it since you’re not in our group, and she doesn’t want any of us to have the burden of telling us.” sakura said softly, a sad smile adorning her lips. 

you smiled at her before giving her a reassuring pat on the shoulder. “i’ll look first, unnie. don’t worry.”

“i just took one,” chaewon whispered, her voice still raspy. “if i need to take another one, then i will just in case, but i just want to start with one.” 

you nodded and stepped towards the sink, seeing the small white test laying face down on the edge. chaewon gripped sakura’s hand tighter, turning away and burying her face into her shirt out of fear and anticipation. 

the result of that test would determine not only her future, but le sserafim’s as well. she knew that she should have never let jaemin’s smooth talk make her heart flutter. she wished she would have never let him get her in a vulnerable position where she had no choice but to say yes to him. she wished she would have been more fearless, and not let someone else have so much power over her.

but regretting things would not help right now. all she had to do now was face the music.

you flipped the test over, and before you looked at it, you looked at sakura, who gave you one final nod of approval to see the result. 

“it’s negative, unnie.” 

chaewon felt her entire body relax, and all she could do was cry even more out of pure relief. she was going to break up with jaemin first thing tomorrow morning, as well as take legal action for what he did to her. 

“thank you, y/n.” she whispered while crying into her member’s shirt. you only smiled back at her before speaking softly. “you might want to take another one, just to double check, but i think you’re fine, unnie.”

sakura nodded, a symbol of agreement with you. “i agree, thank you though, y/n/n.”

you bowed slightly before exiting the room and walking over towards the living room to inform the american of the news.

“hey jen, the test,” 

you stopped your words mid sentence at the sight of yunjin with your unlocked phone in your hand. 

“yunjin, what are you doing?”

the blonde girl’s eyes met yours, her jaw locked in place before taking a step towards you slowly.

“you know, i didn’t know you had texted aeri just now.” she mumbled, motioning towards the device. “but honestly? i’m glad that you didn’t get a response, y/n.”

“what are you talking about? and why are you snooping through my phone?” you reached to try and grab the phone from her, but yunjin only pulled it back behind her head. 

“no,” she quickly stated. “you need to see this before you reply to that lying bitch.”

your jaw dropped at the name yunjin used to refer to aeri. in all your time spent together, even hooking up, she had never disrespected her in such a way.

“what are you talking about, jen?” you whispered slowly, voice not raising in any way.

yunjin turned the phone to face you, the glaring dispatch headline staring at you in a mocking manner. just reading it made your stomach drop, and similar to chaewon, you felt sick to your stomach.

i have so much to say about these tracks y'all the wait was worth it it always is when it's with them!! UNFORGIVEN as a title track slaps i can't overstate how amazing this turned out thank you nile rodgers this is incredible i adore the beats though i wish that for the "unforgiven girls" part, the vocals were stronger in volume and impression bc it's SUCH a hype section i can already imagine ceremonies starting with that exact part!! the melody just evokes that feeling if you know what i mean?? and yunjin's grungy voice compliments this song and its message so so well. also kkura's deep voice?? she is an icon she has always been the moment but oml zuha's wings and her lines are SO good i won't even start talking about chaewon bc y'all know how i feel about her gosh she never ever disappoints. now for manchae oml she has come so far from fearless and she's getting better and better each comeback and she's starting to solidify her presence on stage im so excited for five years down the line how she's going to turn out!! the choreo snippet from knowing bros had already surprised me so much i love love love their choreos and this one has to be one of my top threes?? anyways not to get too deep into this so im going to just keep it like this and move on. overall 9.5/10

NO-RETURN (INTO THE UNKNOWN) — the bass!! they have a signature feel-good sound to their tracks similar to this you just want to get up and jump or dance around with a smile on your face. the saxophone is that a saxophone in the chorus that took me off guard in the best way really. the brass is so cnncncbc!! chaewon and yunjin carry the vocal heavy parts and they do it amazingly like they may not be the strongest vocalists ever but they're strong in their own ways that fit le sserafim's sound so well!! overall 9/10

EVE, PSYCHE & THE BLUEBEARD'S WIFE — i know a club song when i hear one despite not ever being in one 😔😔 the beat im salivating this is my three am hallucinating dancing in the dark in my own room type of song i swear to you the verses after the first chorus has me in a chokehold. the things i would do to get to listen to this in a concert setting and ascend with the bridge and then the drum pads that come in right after like stfu. overall 9/10

FEARNOT (BETWEEN YOU, ME, AND THE LAMPPOST) — i just started writing a small fic based on this song and its vibes!! this makes me feel all sorts of things and the lyrics are straight out of a heartwarming story. this is one of my most favourite songs from this album. it's so atmospheric with the electric guitar building up to the chorus and the drum beats that kick in and their vocals. the melody is beautiful and i just can't get over the vibes. i cried while i first listened to this half an hour ago actually ;-; i don't have any single thing to complain about in this song. "i go where you go" line being given to chaewon was an amazing decision because her voice is so pure and it felt like i was pulled into another world for the brief moment she sung with the background going silent :') i think this will be one of my most listened to songs on spotify this year. overall 10/10

FLASH FORWARD — this is exactly my vibe i listen to these kinds of songs everyday all day it's just so vibey and you can strut playfully to this song down the street and sway and jam all you want and it feels like flowers of all bright colours are blooming all around you as you go!! it's like it brightens up the world around each step you take :< it's just feel-good. overall 9/10

FIRE IN THE BELLY — when i say hot damn i want to shake my hips and call my latina friends and have them listen to this. the chorus makes something in my chest feel so full with life!! reminds me of my childhood especially the olé olé olé in the background chants ugh im a little tired from all of the jumping and screeching i did within the last hour so my brain is slowing down just know that it's overall a 9/10 for me for this too

CONCLUSION i love them they occupy a large spot in my heart i can't ever dislike any song they release and i know it seems like im giving way too many compliments but i can't help it idc if it's subjective they just make good ass music ‼️

no bc I have three albums only and I feel I wasted so much money HOW DO YOU HAVE SO MANY

i have.. 10? i think? i've just accumulated them over the past like 7/8 months

it's the last two itzy albums, all newjeans albums, all le sserafim albums (minus japanese version of fearless bc i cannot justify the purchase), a twice album and jihyo (twice)'s solo album. so Technically it's only four groups... and really they're the only four i actively keep up with and actually really know... so i feel pretty safe in the fact i'll only make bad financial decisions when one of the four decide to drop something. and i think i'm in the clear for now.

i don't have any intention to go back and buy itzy and twice's older albums too so Thank God cause that also would've hurt. but i'm not that bothered about it.

this ask though made me realise that 10 albums is roughly like £300+ so um. im gonna go contemplate life now because that is a SICKENING thought. though two of them were gifts so...!!!!

but i do enjoy supporting them and getting physical albums but god will i Never buy multiple versions of the same album That is when i question how the hell people do that.

we'll call it an album a month even though it's not really . i have a part time job and a student loan soooo £30 off that a month is not gonna murder me...... if i don't think about it too hard
