not to write a think piece on my silly little blog because I keep coming across tweets that annoy me but there seems to be a trend of people viewing chappell as a manifestation of reasons they don't take the sexualities of queer women (who present in ways they see as invalid) seriously. because she wears very feminine costumes and has lyrics about being closeted or sexually inexperienced she reminds people of queer women they think aren't really queer (ones who are more fem presenting or came out as adults).
