people who use bi lesbian to try to cover their transmisogyny are 100% gross, and not who i’m trying to defend. people call themselves bi lesbians for many other reasons— the one my (transfem) gf has is that she feels it respects both her former attraction to men *and* the way her attraction works now. i was calling you a hypocrite because you don’t dismiss bi & pan people by pointing to the ways transmisogynists define those labels. it’s also ahistorical to assume that bi lesbians of the past were only using that label for transmisogynistic reasons. 2/2

so i understand that my response generalized everyone who uses the term bilesbian and I’m so sorry about that. you’re right. not everyone uses the term the same.

but generally I do want to emphasize that i do believe bi and pan people can be transphobic and there are definitely smaller labels within those communities that are transphobic (couldn’t tell you exact terms, but i think back to a friend telling me she was a trans exclusive bisexual). i don’t think the post addressed that. but those definitely exist.

but yeah anon, u right. not everyone who says “bilesbian” means what I said. thanks anon
