If you've ever read my poetry you'd know I looooove writing long poems, which is how "Monday at the Chicago Institute of Art" got to be 1000+ words. Now what I want to know is how I can write a 1000 word poem that'll only be seen by like five people but can't write a 750 word paper worth 20% of my grade 😭

#madi posting #i threw out the notebook that had my fav verse of monday... on accident sooooo nobody will be seeing that one for a while lmao #other poetry updates: working on a new piece called over the phone my grandmother tells me about slitting her wrists in the 70s #I'm also working on a piece that doesn't gave a name yet but is 3000+ words long that i wrote frantically after a sleepover in 2021 #i edited it a bit in late 2022 and totally changed it's meaning but i like my 2022 edits a lot #but i need to edit those edits #loving you is carved in my skin is merging with over the phone...#im also working on a poem made of excerpts of my diary in November 2022 #also working on a piece called November is a weary month which is inspired by September is a weary month by yasmin belkhyr #and I'm also working on a seasonal piece for summer with lines i love from an abandoned seasonal piece i wrote in 2020 #anyways i think thats it?
