for my international friends: It is so fucking tight in canada rn bc two of our teams in the playoffs the vancouver canucks (British Columbia) and the edmonton oilers (Alberta) are competing rn and ITS BLOODY. for those who dont know, B.C. and Alberta are right beside each other geographically and have always, and will always, hate each other. its seriously fucking intense. whoever wins the most games gets to proceed in the playoffs which means (possibly) taking home the Stanley Cup. and, yes, hockey is as, if not more, serious to Canadians as the stereotypes will have you believe
