#every few years i like to check the latest comic with no context and wonder what batshit nonsense has happened now#im FAIRLY certain that guy being tortured is the evil alt universe clone of the protagonist?#and the woman looking on is...either the evil-but-now-reformed our-universe (ish) future? version of his nemesis#who uhhh had her dna scrambled and was almost unmade i think?#OR the timid alt-universe version that he...i think killed? at least horrifically abused#NO idea who the shadowy guy is#the first like 5 years of this comic the most exciting thing that happened was y2k. not like scifi y2k just actual boring programming y2k
