I was too busy to get a pic of the post apple picking dinner for 24 of hubs’ family. But I managed one when serving leftovers next day. SUNSHINE, SPOTIFY AND SPRING CLEANING: Crank up the tunes on your favorite Spotify playlist and get to cleaning! Here are 5 things to Spring clean this weekend! ✔️Your Pantry – time to purge and get rid of all the expired items, almost empty bags of chips shoved to the back, 30 different kinds of tea you keep buying but never drinking, you name it. Grab a garbage bag and clean it out! Then re-organize what’s left. ✔️Your Closet – time to do the same thing with your closet. Doesn’t fit? Haven’t worn it in over a year? Remove it! Go through shoes, purses, sweaters, all of it. Invest in storage bins for purses, shelving for your shoes, an over the door organizer for belts, hats and other misc. accessories. Then arrange what’s left into categories (color coded or style coded such as short sleeve tops together, blouses together, etc). ✔️Your Paperwork – go through your junk drawers, office and pile of mail – throw out what you don’t need and organize the rest into a file cabinet or into categories. Do you really need every Crate and Barrel catalog from 2019? What about the 15 articles you printed off about weight loss at the start of the new year? Time to clean it out! ✔️Your Refrigerator – Take everything out – literally everything. Wipe down all of the shelves and drawers. 🆕These 2 things will make a BIG difference in how much your home sells for (ahhh – say no more, right?!) 📦PRE-PACKING & DEEP CLEANING – here’s what you need to know: First, it’s time to remove the term “de-clutter” because what you really want to do is pre- pack! Buyers don’t want to see your “stuff” – they want to picture themselves living in your home so let’s show them all the space they can have. Pre-packing involves getting rid of what you don’t need and packing it up for when it’s time to move. This might include kitchen appliances, casserole dishes and your 27 hair products stuffed into your bathroom cabinet. One tip I give every seller is this: “Remove half of what is in your closets and cabinets and pack it up!” Not only will it help these areas appear more organized but it will make them look double their size and it’s so simple.
