✨I have a good time intentionally anywhere I am. I absolutely love being a Mum. I took my son to a birthday dinner party at The Wells Carlton Hotels & Apartments @thewellscarltonluxury and had a lot of fun watching all the teenagers have a good time together. I live life fully always and today was no exception. Watching my son and his friends having a swell time reminded me how full my cup truly is and to enjoy every moment life has blessed me with. I hope you had a great time today and did something that put a smile on your face and made you feel good on the inside. what made me want to become a mother

I have been asked this question a number of times.

What really made me want to become a mother? 

Well, I had a loving husband, I had started my legal career and I had this overwhelming desire to fill the void that I had (still somewhat very hard to explain). I had always wanted to be a mother, to have my own children and to watch them grow right before my eyes. 

I distinctly remember having an overwhelming feeling one day that I really wanted to become a mother. My twin at the time already had a baby girl (she is totally adorable) and I think being around her and her baby made my desire to become a mother even more apparent. Soon, the topic of having children seemed to always come up in conversation between my husband and myself. Talking about having children always came easy to my husband and I. We always knew we both wanted children, it was just a matter of when we wanted to have them.

I remember the day I found out I was pregnant so clearly. It was a beautiful sunny Saturday morning (and happened to be the day after my 28th birthday) and I woke up with some stomach pains and a sore chest. I immediately got up, went to the bathroom and took a test (thinking there is no way it could be). The two pink lines came up so quickly I could barely believe what I was seeing. Then I called my husband to have a look at the test and BAM! That was the beginning of how it all started. The very next day I took another test because you can never be too sure right? Again, it was a positive and my heart did a little dance -  we were going to become parents and start the next big chapter of our lives!

We waited 9 whole months to see him and all the sleepless nights and endless trips to the bathroom during my pregnancy were totally worth it (no morning sickness thank goodness!). There is nothing I would change. Zac came at a time when we wanted him the most.  Since having Zac our lives have changed so much. We have so much love for our little boy. He fills our day with so much joy and laughter - I can’t explain it but its just an overwhelming sensation. Being a mum is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I count my lucky stars everyday that we were blessed to have such a healthy, happy and relaxed baby. He makes every second of everyday totally worth it!

Zac at 5 weeks. He was so tiny back then. Looking at him always made me so emotional  and would sometimes bring tears to my eyes too. He is everything we wanted and more. Sure, being a mum is SUPER tough, but it is also the best thing ever. I wouldn’t change a thing!

A little love from the furry one and the girly one. This was my Sunday afternoon. So nice to relax with Mouthy Alfie and eldest daughter. Today my youngest came home so the house is full again. Moments before school. As my youngest is away after school till 7. My middle three already left for school. My eldest had work. I had a day planned which has gone on hold due to work being done on the house. So far it's been good but noisy. Can't wait till these little jobs are finished. Apple crumble and custard or just crumble and custard? My daughters made a beautiful crumble together today and we Baked that and had it with custard after dinner. My eldest daughter had also Baked an apple crumble yesterday so she had some of that in the afternoon. Then we all enjoyed the crumble and custard which was absolutely delicious. My youngest boy went out with my eldest son and they played some basketball for a few hours. We had dinner, my eldest daughter had to drop off some apple crumble to her school friend and family. Then middle son and myself went off to to pick up some essentials. Everyone is settled in for bed. Really loving the cosy feel our home has wje it starts getting dark. So happy for Friday. My eldest had an early start to his day and then off to work. My middle three had a great time at school followed by nanny coming over to sit for a couple of hours (thank you mum ❤️) in this time my eldest daughter and mum baked an apple crumble together. Which they all enjoyed apple crumble and custard. The children got to see Wiffy Woo. She loves the attention. My youngest son went out after school. My daughter baked another crumble after my mum left. Then she went to scout's. This was her first ever time and she really enjoyed it so she'll be going back again. On the way we saw some absolutely stunning clouds. They were all fluffy So looking forward to going to bed tonight. I really can't wait to have a negative test. Although I'm in the same house as my beautiful children I've kept away and ate I'm different room. My mask has stayed on all day even when there at school and in bed. This has been grueling. But I've kept things as normal as they can be in our home. The children have eaten well and home is clean. My youngest had a lovely evening and my 2nd Boy had a booster. My eldest is now showing negative, thankfully!
