Do you think that it's a prank like when they leaked an episode where Mac and Dennis were together?

I guess only time will tell but, personally, no I don’t think it’s a prank. It seems on par for Sunny and would be kinda randomly timed (and weird, topically) to be a joke.

It’s genuinely funny to me how people are disbelieving of this (though valid RCG have trolled us in the past, so I understand questioning it to some degree)… But the abhorrent reaction I’ve seen from a chunk of Sunny Twitter, stating this is too far or so disturbing they’re leaving the fandom (LOL.. I mean, is this worse than Mac killing a dog, butchering it, and feeding it to Dennis?), is entertaining to say the least.

I think during the hiatus people seem to soften and woobify everything that happens on a Sunny to a nominal degree, so when the new season gets underway people see the content warning of these plots and freak the fuck out, as of it’s out of place at all for the bad people bad things show.

It’s .. really not out of place. We don’t have context we just have what FX has “flagged”. I mean, think about what the warning for Frank v. Russia is: for all intents and purposes, Dennis drugged and raped Frank to win a chess tournament he didn’t even care about… just did the raping for the thrill of it.

If Rob had dropped the content warning for that ahead of us knowing anything else about the plot, everyone would have melted down and panicked that the episode was going to be terrible and that they’ve “run out of ideas” and Rob “made Dennis a rapist”. But in context. That’s the crux of the episode and it’s hailed as one of the best episodes in recent years, and a favourite of the fandom. So. Probs not a prank, probs gonna be an insane plot line we’re gonna love.
