My Biggest wish for Dungeon Meshi is for it to end with a Movie. Its probably More likely for them to do a two parter episode to end but trigger does really good movies and the part where marcille becomes dungeon lord and then the part where laios becomes his ideal monster would be SO so good given an anime movie amount of animation. I just want every peice of the end to shine as brightly as it did in the manga cause the final part is So key to the understanding and enjoyment of dungeon meshi's central themes... i would Really really love to see them give the final parts the grandiosity they deserve. Please Please PLEASE trigger i will Pay to see this hypothetical movie five Million times if I have to just to sweeten the pot

On the matter of Jon and Martin's descent into Nightvale Citizens I would say.

Jon's died three times now.

Once by Tim, buried in rubble.

Once by Elias, calling on the end of the world, calling all the powers that be into his mortal form, crushing him into a spec and a blip and then exploding inwards out.

Once by Martin, gouging his eye out, and severing him from the only thing maintaining him. Everything cut off again, but this time there's no explosion of power to bring poor little Jon back, just everything inhabiting and crushing him out of the way as it sucks into him.

Jon died, and he wasnt coming back, except Nightvale is a living beast and the roads pathe her body, and she Cares for the people she holds. And especially she cares for her Voice, who hates gore. Jon died, but he and Cecil are the same beast, so they can inhabit a single soul together, because Cecil died too. He's being inhabited the same as Jon, and what chaces Cecil is just as happy to haunt and linger on the sides of Jon's vision just out of the way, waiting for him to See It so he can be hunted.

Jon missed being hunted, I imagine it feels special. He's not alone anymore, and this one he can't help but to love because this hunting nourishes him. He just can't hunt back, lest it consume him.

That's his to deal with!

Anyways, Jon sharing CECIL'S soul, which is the hard to explain part to Martin. Do I love him?? I dont THINK so? But I feel like I'll die if I take ten steps away. Sharing Cecil's soul makes you less than human in a weird way. He shows you so much, and forces your eyes to glaze over the bad parts of things, he turns you stupid. Jon in s5 would have seen the bowing chipping painting of a sky and been worried, but wtse hardly notices the creak and blames the footsteps on bad weather. When he has paintchips fall in his ice cream he just makes a face at cecil when he leans over to lick it off and laugh and say its just sunlight its not going to HURT you, Jon.

It would take Martin noticing, and it's Martin's job to. But Martin was born of Jon. Sad!

Martin died of heartbreak, and accepted a seperation from everyone and everything. And left his soul attached to Jon, who accepted it. And then Jon died, and now Jon's soul is a distorted thing that hops and skitters and caws and is that a caw? It sounds like an owl, but it certainly isnt. It clicks.

Martin's turned weird, as Jon is turned weird. Martin's supposed to be Jon's Earl, but he's turning into his Carlos. Earl was made FOR Cecil, but Martin was made OF Jon.

They're turning into citizens quicker than either would care to notice, which is a lot quicker than they actually WOULD notice. Kinda cute!

1 - from a mutilated animal laid writhing at my feet

He wants to sit up, but trying alone is going to be a fucking nightmare. He readies himself then rolls to his side in one movement. Pain shoots through his abdomen. Fucking. Breath, Remus. Breath. His usual go to for getting himself up a bad pain day is to roll onto his front and push up from there. This is. Pretty bad though, and he thought he’d probably made a grave mistake attempting it.

so i have a chronic illness/disability that causes lots of weird bone/muscle/nerve pain. and its never really. reasonable and it never really makes any sense and its. incredibly difficult. and so when writing remus in this fic i tried to kind of have the pain as a constant background, seperate to the pain he was feeling like. emotionally. because that's what its like for me. it was a super interesting exercise to like. artfully describe some of the pain he's in and just. be describing my own pain at that exact moment. i could probably go on about lycanthropy causing chronic pain for like. ever.

The coffee table was piled with built up grot, stuff that’d never been tidied. One wrong bump and it would all come tumbling down. It’d been months since anyone had had the time to care about that stuff.

okay this one is a bit funny. when imagining remus and sirius' flat post hogwarts, a lot of my personal experience living in places that range from crappy to straight up dangerous + scary come into how i see it. this one specifically is based on the place i lived straight after school, where we had a sun room we used for smoking and sitting around doing fuck all mostly. and it was . fucking feral constantly and one of my favourite hobbies was taking all the stuff on the coffee table and making it into like. a balancing sculpture of rubbish. very fun would reccomend.

There were spots of black mould travelling up where the wall met the shower door. It seemed to crawl and swell in its path, creating strange patterns in Remus’ vision. He blinked trying to focus properly. Still it crept, all consuming.

when i was around 16/17 i was struggling with pretty severe mental health issues, that involved sometimes having episodes involving things moving around on the walls specifically. it wasnt great obviously. Though i find including the experience of things moving around on a wall that you cant really get rid of really powerful for showing where someone's at in my work.

4. from tumble to the ground

He couldn’t imagine anything more ridiculous, or more fun, he could be doing. Remus hadn’t really ever had any friends to do stuff like this with before coming to school. (...) The feeling now of pulling a real joke; causing proper trouble, was exhilarating. His heart was going a million miles an hour, and he kept sneaking looks to the boys either side, fighting to keep from laughing. It was completely absurd. Remus loved it.

god this fic was so fun to write! the exhilaration he felt doing something with his new friends, feeling included for the first time really is based on my experiences of being an autistic kid who struggled w/ like. understanding how to be friends with someone. so when i ended up with people who were as excited to have me there as i was to be there it was like. the most incredible thing. and thats kind of the point of this whole fic is to show remus, who had never had other kids to muck around with, finally getting to be involved and included. warms my heart. very special to me.

There is a doe, split open at the chest. Her torso is heaving. Remus can see her lungs sunken inside her cracked ribs. Blood, so dark it is almost black, is pooling where she lies.

so ive always been completely insane over the idea of like. open chests with exposed ribs. its like when u feel so so heavy and full of rage or grief or something and you want to rip ur chest open. lots of my non-fan work (writing and art both) centers around this feeling bc like. i used to have a lot of difficulties regulating my emotions and like. that was what most of my feelings turned into. like hello i want to rip my chest open etc. writing this was super cathartic to kind of fictionalise it. and also since im much better at handling things now its fun to use like. my personal motifs.

ST: The Next Generation S3 Watchthrough Episodes 18-21

Allegiance: So we have Picard whisked away while minding his own business and ends up somewhere with three other people while a copy of him is hanging out on the Enterprise. Don’t you just hate when that happens? It was alright. The concept is an interesting one, a race of hive0mind aliens kidnap people to see how they interact in a bubble while they leave a fake on the Enterprise to see if the crew will keep following Picard. Naturally the crew turns on the fake when he gets out of hand and Riker taking a stand was freakin’ badass, so glad that no one’s a mindless officer who will follow blindly. While the aliens don’t hurt anyone, they DID still kidnap and endanger a lot of people, so Picard telling them offat the end is justified. The whole episode hinges on Patrick Stewart’s acting ability as both the real and fake Picard, and to the shock of no one, he knocks it out of the park. They could make him act as a tree and he’d somehow make it into a worthwhile performance. Picard’s certainly not my favorite character, while S3 has had him grow on me the rest of the cast are more appealing to me and as far as overall captians go, TOS Kirk just had a better balance of serious and laid-back for me… he’s topping AOS Kirk though. Also… I know it was witht he fake Picard, but why are we starting the Picard/Crusher ship tease again? They had dropped it since Crusher came back and Picard seems even more married to his job than Kirk was, so… why are we doing this? But ah well. Still, it’s a strong episode for Picard as he shows his natural leadership and Patrick Stewart is having fun as the fake especially when we get to the song number XD It’s a nice episode about authority and when to follow (regular Picard is a reasonable leader who knows how to deal with various individuals to get the job done with the least amount of damage possible) and when to not (when the authority is outright leading you and others to certain death with no regard for those lives). In other words, don’t live in a hive mind. and don’t imprison people no matter if you intend no harm 3/5.

Captain’s Holiday: And speaking of Picard! I guess a requirement for Starfleet Captian is ‘be an utter workaholic who cannot and will not understand the concept of taking a Shore Leave’ and that hasn’t changed since Kirk’s time. Hell, Crusher pulls the same trick Spock did to get Kirk to take one… albeit Picard picks up on it much quicker than Kirk did and he doens’t end up on a planet that causes illusions that involve an annoying classmate, an old crush, and believing that his CMO/best friend got killed via a knight lance… boy Shore Leave was a trip, huh? I love how the entire ship was in on the scheme to get Picard to take the vacation, Riker’s smugness over it is freakin’ amazing. So Picard goes to Risa… and ends up tangled in utter insanity involving a weapon hidden on the planet, the Ferengi, two beings from the future, and a pretty woman adventurer. Guess the other Starfleet Captin requirement is ‘be prepared for your vacation to be derailed even when it doens’t involve Starfleet business because you’re just cursed now, sorry!’ This was fun! I like seeing Picard get to break from his stuffy Captain persona and get to go full-on adventurer and clearly having the time of his life doing so, it fits him really well~! Vash was also really fun and why we haven’t gotten an ST spinoff that would essentially be Indiana Jones in Space after this I’ll never know. It’s kinda nice to just have an episode like this with no complex morality or political/social themes, it’s just a fun adventure to let Picard let loose and the setting is a nice change of pace from the Enterprise. 3/5.

Tin Man: Tam’s inability to stop hearing most everyone’s thoughts which leaves him unhinged gives me major Mao from Code Geass vibes… well, except less sociopathic/stalkerish. I mean imagine being born a telepath/empath with all those senses turned on and being unable to shut them off and thus are overwhelmed by everyone’s thoughts/emotions all around you… yeah I think that the man has every reason to be out of it. I almost wanna say this kinda feels like an allegory for mental illness/schizophrenia, but given that this was in the 90’s when we weren’t that great at understanding that and my own lack of knowledge on those topics, I’m reluctant to say that with certainty. So we have him an an intelligent ship (the tititular Tin Man) drven to despair due to it’s fallen crew and in the end they essentially merge into one being… yeah it’s as wild as it sounds. Oh and they have to deal with Romulans… again. Also not quite sure what happened at the end, but hey it’s an ending. So it was fine. Not really anything else to say on this one. 3/5.

Hollow Pursuits: So we meet Lieutenant Barclay, a nervous, timid man who is constantly late, frustrates his superiors due to his demeanor/insufficiency, isn’t really fitting in, and he vents it out via living out his fantasies on the Holodeck. It’s… oddly relatable. Now mind you I’d probably be as squicked out as Troi was if someone had a hologram of me acting all intimate with them, but hey it’s not like he’s forcing it on the actual Troi. Riker comes off as an asshole though… though him, Troi, and Geordi seeing themselves in the holodeck was funny XD. It’s understandable why Geordi and the others are frustrated with him.. but like Data points out, name-calling behind his back is pretty mean and maybe if they tried to be more understanding and reached out, maybe it would help Barclay. As someone with major social anxiety and poor social skills in general, I could relate to how Barclay felt and it was nice to see an episode focusing on what would otherwise be a nameless nobody in the background. There are more people on the ship than the main group, several of whom they’re the superiors over, so it’s nice to also see Geordi struggling as a superior to a subordinate that he’s having issues with. When Guinan pointed out that maybe Barclay’s late and nervous because everyone acts like they don’t want to be around him or talk to him… damn, that articulates exactly what I felt. Also, you’d think that the Holodeck would… you know, make it so one can’t walk in on someone’s privacy unless it’s an emergency. Just saying. But yeah for an episode in the ’90s, while it doens’t specifically bring up social anxiety or mental illness that one could associate with Barclay and the Holodeck sequences might be more… concerning in a modern light, it does have the message on treating those feeling withdrawn, nervous, and struggling with those kinds of things respectfully and to reach out to them with understanding and openness, not to dismiss or demean them. It’s a lesson I wish that was more clear in the ’90s, it might have helped me with my problems… ah well! 3.5/5.

Alright, we’ve got five episodes of the season left. So here’s how we’re going to go from here. Tomorrow will be 22-25, which I read the title for one and it’s gotten me super excited~! Then we have the finale… which is one part of a two-parter with Part 2 being the beginning of S4. I’ve been thinking of how to deal with this in the watchthrough since I consider parter episodes essentialy the same episode but divided up. What I decided is that on the wtchthrough post I’ll review both parts in one post, give the rating for both as seperate episodes, and then give a rating for them together. When I do the Top 5 Favorite/Least Favorite Episodes of S3 post, it will be counted as one episode if it makes the list and this will be the same for all the other two-part episodes at least for now. After I do the S3 finale/S4 premiere I’m gonna take a break until Monday, and then I hope to go through S4-7 without any stops. So here’s hoping that all goes according to plan.

Wow. What a round. So I was going to target Shoib at the beginning of the round and me and Julia ended up having calls with Eddie and Mitch seperately to talk about it because I knew something was up with Shoib and didn't trust him. The problem is that Julia wanted Heather and Trixie to know about it because she didn't want people to blame just her for it, and when we told Trixie she wasn't feeling it that much and tried to have us clear things up with Shoib. I still didn't trust Shoib fully but Trixie pushed hard for me/Julia/Heather to flip and when Julia and Heather flipped back to voting Mitch, I wasn't going to tie it because I felt that it would ruin my relationships with Trixie/Julia/Heather. So Mitch ends up getting voted out and Eddie is pissed, which is understandable. Shit hit the fan though because we had an instant tribal after Heather won immunity. First off, I have a lot of feelings about the Eddie thing that are really complicated. He turned on me and tried to get me out at this instant tribal, and I know a lot of it was out of anger but a lot of what he accused me of hurt on a personal level. Because me and Eddie talked decently enough before this game and had a lot in common, so when we got to play together and finally got on the same tribe I was very happy to work with him. As you all saw, we didn't work that well together and things really started to unravel after I kept him out of the Matt vote. He was very angry with me and said that I was trying to use him and that he wasn't going to be my bitch and whatever, and it didn't feel good to hear that from him, but the day after he told me that no matter what happened in this game, he wanted us to be friends in the community afterwards. And that meant a lot to me, because I didn't want this game to ruin the bond we formed before the game. And we still didn't vote together after that vote or after we made up, but I thought he understood it. What was ultimately best for my game didn't include him, but I still tried to keep him safe no matter what. Like anytime Julia suggested targeting I immediately said no and I tried to keep in the loop as much as I could while others on my side ignored him. And I don't know if the past two votes contributed him to being mad, but we talked the most the past two days than we probably have ever because Eddie called a lot just to talk about life or to watch shows, and it was nice, and I felt like I found a genuine friendship in this ORG community. And like Eddie said before, he didn't want this game to ruin whatever we built. So his reaction after the Mitch vote just stung me on a lot of levels. Before we even had the instant, Eddie was PMing me saying that I only cared for myself in the game, and that I only viewed him as a number in the game. I understand why he would think that way but even when I tried to talk to him at the instant tribal he would shut me off or tell me that i was full of shit basically. I don't know if he did all of that out of anger or if he truly feels that way, but I'll find out when we can talk again. I hope everything we talked about outside of the game was genuine to him and not just something he did on a game level to get me to trust him. It's hard for me to decide what the truth is there but I guess I'll see what happens post game. Anyways, back to the crazy ass tribal. Eddie immediately started throwing me and Julia under the bus to Shoib and when Shoib said that he had the idol and that he would vote one of us, I was shook. Once he got Heather invovled and Heather said she wanted to vote for me I felt that it was over. But the real shocker is that Autumn admitted to voting out Eddie instead of me at the tribal, which made Eddie beg for Shoib to idol him even more. It was a fight but thankfully Shoib decided not to, and I somehow managed to survive that tribal and make the final 6. I understand why Eddie decided to flip on me this round, and I always said that I wouldn't take it personal if he did. And I don't. But everything associated with how he turned on me, and what he accused me of sucked. I hope it was just a heat of the moment things and that we're okay after the game, and that he meant it when he said that he didn't want this game to effect our friendship.

Alright now that I'm outta my feelings I have to analyze what happened yesterday and figure out how I can get to the end. At this point, I think my best bet is to stick with Julia and Trixie. Especially since Autumn is the biggest threat to win and because Shoib and Heather tried to vote me out. I don't believe that Shoib got the merge idol. I think it was all a show to make us not vote him and so that we would be too afraid to vote him the next two rounds. I need Autumn this round. If Autumn works with us, I want to vote out Shoib 4-2. If that works out, my hope is to take Autumn out at the final 5, but really I just don't want to sit with her at the end because I do think she'll beat me (again). Soo yeah, I think my best shot at winning will be with Julia and Trixie, even though I think the jury will like Trixie more than Julia and I, but Trixie has never done me wrong in this game and I won't turn on her unless she turns on me.

fuck. ok. My final 2 is Trixie so i wanted to separate from her so no one suspects us, now we are on opposite sides for info. I know she has the merge idol so I can claim to have it and she wont say anything about having it. so I won't look like a liar, now they will be too scared to vote me final 6 or 5. If I am gonna get votes she will know about it and if she is gonna get votes I will know about it. Now I need to talk to Autumn and see what she has to say, I don't know whether or not it is better to take out Autumn or Jake first. Decisions, decisions.

Live tribal was too insane for me. Too short lived of immunity. I flipped on Jake cuz to be honest, I tried to get him out two times prior and didn't want Julia gone at all. Sadly Autumn voted Eddie, which is cool too I guess. Now I think Shoib and I are much closer and all so I would like to bring him to at least f4, cuz I dont think many people could win against him at all. My dream f4 would be him Julia Trixie and I but I don't know if bringing Trixie would be good either. UGHH Struggles struggles.

hey all, I am a 17 year old male, live in cumbria. i realise this is a c rated insurance post code, i understand that. what i do not understand is why when i put in qoutes for the exact same car, exact same details all bar the name, my insurance skyrockets. i get qoutes of 3200 on a corsa 1.0 and the like (small, 1.2 or less cars) whereas friends, even 1 of which lives 5 doors away from me, get qoutes of about 2400. why is this? i understand the post code part, but the thing is all my friends being qouted live in the same area, in the same town, same estate in fact, our first four letters of our postcodes are the same, i thought this was what determined the post code factor. im currently a student, ive put down i have held my license for 4 months, i am the registered owner and keeper of the car, i am the policy holder, even added a parent with 30+ years experience on (which by the way only saved me 100) and i got 3200. my friend on the same street got 2400. why is this? also, can anyone recommend a cheap insurance company, as a young driver? eg. under 19 really, because i know car insurance has almost doubled in like 3 years. no wonder people are illegaly driving with this daylight robbery scam called insurance. thanks""

So, I am 18, and yesterday my cousin was planned to come in from the UK at the Sky Harbor Airport in, Arizona. In 2008 I had insurance in California, through my employer. I got laid off in June, but was on COBRA in Sept. 2008, when Blue Cross authorized me for gastric bypass surgery. I just recently passed my driving test and I'm completely taken away by the prices I've saw for car insurance on my parents Astra, I'm getting prices up at 7K. I've decided to go out and buy a category 1 insurance car (or any that's a low category) so it will be cheaper to run but the only problem is, I don't have a job at the moment so only have savings. It wouldn't bother me not taking out my own policy because I understand that can be more expensive but is there an alternative for me until I get a job and earn money to get the policy so I can collect NCD's? One of my friends use to have his own policy on his family car, a big car like ours, until he had an accident and the price shot up. Now because he can't afford the monthly costs he just takes out 1 weeks insurance at a top when needed and this costs him around 40. What I don't understand though is that he's 18, the same age as me, and I thought you werent able to do short term insurance as a new driver? Although I think he somehow takes it under his parents policy? I'v no idea how this works if someone could shine a light on it? Another friend also had a Nissan Micra and was paying around 80-90 per month which I thought was very cheap (also the same age as me) for an insurance which makes me wonder if he is on his own policy?
