A Man’s World
Women, mistreated, judged, makes no sense, standards just grow higher, get taller, be thinner, have a bigger bust, smaller waist. They say it’s “preference,” it’s “their opinion.” My body is not your “preference,” it’s not “your opinion.” It’s a temple, that I get to worship. Slut, whore, why can’t I enjoy myself. It’s a man’s world they say. Why can’t I just live in it? I do something just as good as you, I get no credit, why? Simple, it’s a man’s world, and I’m just “living” in it. If that’s what you call living, dress codes. Don’t wear that, don’t show that. Your shoulder is distracting, I shouldn’t see your knee. But Ms, Charlie is in shorts, why pick on me? Honey, you were born in a man’s world, sad isn’t it. Suck it up, you’re just a woman.

Quote
Sleep is not, Death is not; Who seem to die live. House you were born in, Friends of your Spring-Time, Old man and young maid, Day's toil and its guerdon They are all vanishing, Fleeing to fables, Cannot be moored.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
